Jayden, thank you for pulling through the entire video while you’re throwing up from food poisoning. Brave young man, I hope you are feeling better now! I find your videos, very informative and entertaining! Hugs from Seattle WA.
This was great. I loved your intro / selfie on the "tarmac"! 😉Nice smile. Amazing rebound on the flight and powering through. You're a true road warrior. I liked the trip cost summary. That's new! Very nice. Although low cost, awesome you had the whole row to yourself. Thank you for answering my questions. I was also glad to hear about Lilly, I wondered how she was doing! Cheers.
Oh, Jayden. I'm so sorry you got food poisoning during the flight. That had to be horrible! I'm glad you were able to make it to Adelaide without further problems. It looks like you get what you pay for at VietJet but I'm glad they at least gave you hot water for free after you got sick. I'm amazed that they were chasing passengers to collect seat selection fees during the flight! Thanks for the Q&A. Congratulations to 6'4" on graduating from college!
absolutely haha, a lot of passengers got annoyed when they got asked to pay for new seats because they could've chosen those seats for free at check in!
Thanks for answering my question Jayden! I agree with you that Cathay is better but in economy unless it is Cathay a350-1000 or a330 any Singapore Airlines seat is better in my opinion. Also If I lived in Adelaide I would fly Singapore airlines through Singapore or Vietnam Airlines through Perth or Melbourne and change airlines and Ho Chi Minh airport prices are so expensive!
Save the airline wetwipes for sticky scenarios like this, especially for multiple bathroom visits. Flown Vietjet once, Hong Kong to Phu Quoc Airport which is like 2hrs. Had an emergency exit row. Seat comfort was awful, like sitting on an iron board. No problem with legroom. Singapore Airlines will get you to most places from ADL in comfort via 1 stop.
Hi Jayden, you are a trooper ! I am guessing he didn't have a spare tshirt in your carry-on either. At least it wasn't the food on the plane, and it's a good thing you ended up having the row to yourself....at least you could stretch out, in between chucking up !
Great video Jayden can’t wait for next weeks flight review!! I’m so sorry that you got food poisoning I do food tech at school something I learned is that 200 people die in Australia each year from food poisoning! And also just wondering where do I put my questions that I would like for a Q and A?? How can I make mine get chosen??
I know how it feels to have food poisoning on a red eye flight. Luckily mine wasn’t as bad as yours but it’s honestly one of the worst feelings you can have on a plane. The moving map also wasn’t working on my flight so I could only rely on the time till destination info. Keep up the great work!
Hi Jayden, l am so sorry that you had food poisoning, as you know, l also had that kind of situation when l was a child but luckily l figured out what l should do to prevent myself from being sick on flights.
Oh you poor thing being sick on the flight! Few things are worse! Been there. So glad the crew did what they could, and your decision to continue to ADL made a lot of sense to me - especially as you had the row to yourself. Phew. As an aside, it sounded like at least one if your fellow pax had a covid-y cough. Boo. So glad you mentioned Lilly in Q&A as I wanted to ask where she is at with all the moving and your travel. So glad she is being looked after! I bet you miss her. Will it be a big issue to get her back to HKG?
You are really brave for doing this flight, those seats had legroom look awful and to get food poisoning would make things even more of a nightmare. Great video as always.
Hello Jayden. Very sorry you were unwell on this flight. I wouldn’t fly with that airline as I do not to fly in economy for more than 2 hours these days. Cheers and take care
I made the mistake of flying with Vietjet from Seoul to Da Nang last night, one of the most uncomfortable flights of my life, I'm just thankful I had a whole row to myself so I could stretch out a little (I'm 6ft 3in) otherwise I'd have really struggled, the legroom was minimal. I won't be using them again unless necessary.
China Southern will resume its Guangzhou-Perth service at the end of Nov. However, the resumption of its Adelaide service is still nowhere to be seen. If that service resume, that would provide people in Adelaide with great air link when going abroad from the city.
Gday Jayden , coming from Adelaide i stick to SIA usually fly to Da Nang twice a year i book a cheap Ibis for a overnight stop. yes SIA expensive but i rather fly on the 787 on a 6 hour flight.
13:04, Same when I flew Zipair 2 weeks ago from Honolulu to Narita for the 1st time on flight number 1, flight is good and okay, 8 hours and I flew Cebu Pacific last week from Narita to Manila on the Airbus A330-900neo for the 1st time, flight is good and okay 4 hours, water is not free, need to buy and pay, it's annoying, I know it's a low cost airline.
V informative. Sorry about you getting sick. That's no fun without a sickbag. I wouldn't fly Vietjet on anything more than 2.5-3 hours. Legroom is too tight! Shame they don't offer some extra legroom rows.
Another great trip report... I wouldn't fly Vietjet, makes Jetstar look good. Sorry you got sick on board, I thought they had to provide air sick bags, maybe they'd charge for that too! I kept hearing someone coughing, annoying! BTW had to laugh at the beginning of your video when you said you had the row to yourself, and you said "I can spread my legs" 🤣
haha yes Jetstar is luxury by comparison 🤣 Ryanair don't have them too, you can request tho... but I wonder how many can hold it while they request and wait.
I remembered when I flew directly from mainland China to Australia, there was no secondary security screening at the gate. I wonder what could be the reasons behind it? Anyway another great review by Jayden. Also, could you consider trying to take international flights from all airports that have international flights in the country?
from HK, less than 10 years ago you had to go though that. Today, from Dubai, Fiji and Vietnam you still have to do that. No clue why haha I would love to try all international airlines to/from Australia but I think it's impossible to achieve haha.
The Q & A was informative - and you looked better than you did on the plane. So sorry you were ill and had no vomit bag or access to a toilet in time. I know know to pack my own bag "just in case."
I've done the Thai offshoot... And yes the seats were really crap. I'd do this flight to film it. But to do it regularly? Nope. I'd still prefer my Melbourne stops.
Hi Jayden THANK you for the video sorry you were sick on the plane nothing worse than food poisoning. Yes wasn't much leg room no good for taller people. Take care
I hate being sick on a plane. I’ve done that once in 2016. We were flying home from Philadelphia. I ended up having a seat by myself with another person like mid flight I ended up getting sick and the person next to me called for help from the flight attendant
I think you will also make a similar video but with Vietnamese subtitles like the previous video where you flew on Vietnam Airlines on the Airbus A321.
Hello Jayden thanks for the trip report! Sorry to hear you got food poisoning and vomittted on the plane, that must be very very uncomfortable, but you endured it on both flights💪😁. Lucky you got the whole row to yourself. Looks like the only positive out of the Vietjet flight is the pre-ordered meal lol😂. Take care of yourself Jayden, safe travels!
Because of how cheap the flight is, I would have no problem upgrading to an extra legroom seat. This flight looks like a good value though I'm not the biggest fan of red eye flights.
13:25, Cebu Pacifc and Spirit airlines have the worst legroom at 28 inches. I flew Cebu Pacific many times from Kuala Lumpur to Manila every year (except 2020 to 2021) and the legroom is a little tight, but I am okay on a 3 and a half hour flight. When your gonna fly Cebu Pacific?
haha small yes when compared to Sydney and Melbourne. It has a population of 1.3 million. Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines and Qatar fly there. Emirates will return later this year, they suspended since covid.
So sorry to hear you about getting food poisoning. Regarding on the low cost carriers of Southeast Asia where would you rank Vietjet. For me Vietjet < Cebu Pacific which you spell as 宿霧太平洋公司
yep you can't bring liquid over 100ml onto the plane, even if purchased after the proper airport security. Only from certain countries, including Vietnam and Fiji.
was surprised to see that you could fly from HCM CITY to AUSTRALIA on same plane.....even though low cost ...if have no one in same row and can stretch out...might not be so bad never heard of using HOT WATER if get sick.....could suggestion.....😀... good to hear that you have things going well in your move back to HK....will it be a permanent move or do you and your bf expect to return to AUSTRALIA sometime in the future??????? thanks for the Q/A ,,,and your review of CATHY/SINGAPORE AIR LINES...
That’s the first time I’ve seen FAs charging passengers for switching to another seat… I dunno whether VJ have this policy or not, but it sounds quite annoying. I’ve flown VJ once a long time ago, and honestly I found the flight quite noisy and chaotic; and since then I haven’t flown them again. Their new A321Neo looked much nicer than the plane I flew in the past.
You continued on so professionally after your illness. Getting ill from food poisoning would've left me wrecked for the rest of the trip and probably for a few more days after that.
Jaydon, just think on it at least you didnt eat on flight, that would have made it worse. Also, i wouldb😂have tried the hospital emergency routine, they must have one for plane, anything better than nothing.
It's not bad flying on VietJet on a short flight. However, flying with them on a narrowbody on such a long flight sounds tough 💀 I'm so sorry you have to experience food poisoning during the flight😢 Had food poisoning from Vietnam as well 🫠
Jayden, thank you for pulling through the entire video while you’re throwing up from food poisoning. Brave young man, I hope you are feeling better now! I find your videos, very informative and entertaining! Hugs from Seattle WA.
thanks so much! Greetings from Sydney Australia ;)
mad respect for continuing to film after being sick

can't wait to see her in less than two weeks time! I hope you remembers me haha. Thanks Gary!
Best wishes, good health, and good fortune to you Jayden. May you have a bright future. Give lily a big hug. Cheers from me in Melbourne.
thanks Philip, appreciate it! :)
Oh, Jayden. I'm so sorry you got food poisoning during the flight. That had to be horrible! I'm glad you were able to make it to Adelaide without further problems. @Jayden Wong hope you feel better!
He sacrificed 10 hours for the bros
Took one for the team.
Thanks for all answering my question so thoroughly. It put me in a great mood. Also my flatmate nearly dropped dead when you mentioned my name😂😂😂
oh no did I embarrass myself🤣🤣🤣
haha same here! My flatmate said, "congratulations"!
Thanks for answering my question Jayden! I agree with you that Cathay is better but in economy unless it is Cathay a350-1000 or a330 any Singapore Airlines seat is better in my opinion. Yep Cathay A350-1000 is my fave! Love Singapore 777 too, super wide. Thanks Oscar!

Seat comfort was awful, like sitting on an iron board. No problem with legroom. Singapore Airlines will get you to most places from ADL in comfort via 1 stop.
haha I actually did, used lots of Cathay wipes for the carpet and my shirt.
Bruh comparing viet jet aka low cost airlines to singapore airlines aka full service 🤪.
So very sad you got sick I hope you feel better soon❤
Hi Jayden, you are a trooper !
I am guessing he didn't have a spare tshirt in your carry-on either.
At least it wasn't the food on the plane, and it's a good thing you ended up having the row to yourself....at least you could stretch out, in between chucking up !
I did originally! The staff made me check in my bag🤣 What a misfortune haha
Great video Jayden can’t wait for next weeks flight review!! lovely as always thanks for sharing greetings from the netherlands

Love your vlogs mate. Always gives me inspiration to stay up in the air👍
thanks! :) Everyday is a great day to fly
Jayden, so sorry you got food poisoning. Looks like you are feeling better now! I’ll be in Cabo tomorrow. Flying 1st Class on Alaska❤✈️
oooh amazing! Enjoy! I'll be flying Air India to Sydney tomorrow. 12 hour flight and got offered to upgrade to business for USD598, very tempting haha
@@JaydenWong Do it!!!! Safe travels ❤️✈️
When did you fly air India to Sydney
I know how it feels to have food poisoning on a red eye flight. Luckily mine wasn’t as bad as yours but it’s honestly one of the worst feelings you can have on a plane. The moving map also wasn’t working on my flight so I could only rely on the time till destination info. Keep up the great work!
ahaha yes! Would've been great actually if I knew how long left til landing especially when sick

thanks for watching! Appreciate you calling me brave haha
What caught my eye was your sensational wording “so you don’t have to”! Hope your intestines have recovered by now😁
Good day Jayden Wong, Welcome to India and hope to watch your India vlogs after each weekly trip reports.
"so you don't have to" lol love that headline and thanks for the heads up!
ahaha you're welcome
Hello Jayden. Very sorry you were unwell on this flight. I wouldn’t fly with that airline as I do not to fly in economy for more than 2 hours these days. Cheers and take care
yep, don't get tempted by their cheap fares haha, thanks Peter!
This is why I would avoid LCCs for medium to long hauls....sorry to hear about your food poisoning!
Have a great week thanks for the trip report!😍😍😍😍😍😍

I made the mistake of flying with Vietjet from Seoul to Da Nang last night, one of the most uncomfortable flights of my life, I'm just thankful I had a whole row to myself so I could stretch out a little (I'm 6ft 3in) otherwise I'd have really struggled, the legroom was minimal. 10 hours is too long for VJ. I did 1.5hrs from BKK-SGN and my arse was painfully sore after 30mins. Very lucky you got the row to lay down.
haha yes I would only do them again on super short domestic flights
13:04, Same when I flew Zipair 2 weeks ago from Honolulu to Narita for the 1st time on flight number 1, flight is good and okay, 8 hours and I flew Cebu Pacific last week from Narita to Manila on the Airbus A330-900neo for the 1st time, flight is good and okay 4 hours, water is not free, need to buy and pay, it's annoying, I know it's a low cost airline.

I've had that on Etihad before too, I know the crew have to do it but it's annoying to witness even for pax who didn't move

maybe the burger I had before the flight. thank you!
