I've watched a lot of flight review videos and you are the first to recommend the bulkhead seats! I like it because I'm too tall for the regular seats. I've flown with other Asian airlines before but Korean Air is by far my favorite and I've never had a bad experience. I'll be flying to Asia with family next month from NYC and will be sitting in the bulkhead seats with my young nieces/nephews. Yay lol.... I'm glad I found your video. It's very helpful! Thanks!
Hey! I'm flying Korean Air economy class later this week. Do you remember if they give you headphones for the movies? And is the sound quality on them good?
Hi! They do give you free ear buds, either pick up as you enter the plane or handed out to you on the flight. They are pretty cheap so the quality isn't the best but they're free so its fine for the flight.
Glad you enjoyed the video! We checked in 2 large luggages, we brought a luggage scale with us and both of our bags were under 50 lbs, not sure how strict they are. Also we had 2 carry on luggage and they did not check the size or weight of those. We are from NYC Thanks for watching!
Great video! I was wondering how did you feel the cabin temperature since Ive encountered some people saying it's too hot inside so I'm a bit worried about that for a longhaul flight. Thanks for the info :)
The cabin temperature was fine and if anything there were times that it felt cold as we went over the waters. Many people on our flight were using the complimentary blankets to cover themselves throughout the flight. We like to dress in comfy layers (i.e. t-shirt and hoodie) while traveling to prep for any drastic changes in temperature just in case.
I recommend trying to make reservations as early as possible to request the bulkhead seats. During the booking process, you can select a bulkhead seat from the flight's online seat map. They are usually the ones that don't have any seats directly in front of them. You can also call Customer Service and book your tickets that way and specify that you want a bulkhead seat. I hope this information helps!
Have flown KAL LAX to ICN back twice a year for the last 4 years. The last year food has been awful. The beef was like leather and the crew has been disappointing. Was in the back of the A380 and the captain had turned off the seatl belt sign. So I got up and the FA put her hand on my chest and said "go back to your". The flight was smooth and there was no turlbulence. I pointed to the seat belt sign and FA just shook her head and put her arm. I guess apologzing is like KA food? Bad. Next time I might try Asiana.
Sorry your experience was bad 😕 the food was luckily good for us but we agree the cabin crew has been hit or miss. We would also like to try Asiana in the future!
every time i flight from JFK to SGN i'm alway flight Korean Airline , maybe i love your smile , i love you guy from Mountain 10th Division from upstate New York
Yes, all the food you see in the video is free! There are also free snacks available in they galley. You get 2 free checked luggage up to 50 pounds each as well as 1 free carry on and personal item.
The galleys are located around the middle of the plane, either between the seating sections or near the bathroom, there is also one all the way at the back of the plane. There you will usually find drinks and snacks.
