- Review & test of the New RCAWD Metal & Brass Portal Axles for the FCX24. Today I'll be fitting them to my FCX24 K5 Blazer, along with RCAWD metal shocks, aluminium high clearance lower links, metal driveshafts and wheels & tyres.
We'll do a before and after comparison, including total weight and weight distribution.

Thanks very much, I try and be as honest as I can. I mean look at my reviews of the latest LDRC rig or the Killerbody Mercury kit, I obviously want to keep working with them as a creator, but doubt they like me anymore. 😬

they was very nice looking axles and gave the extra weight in the right places and thoose scales are a must for anyone into the crawler game gives u such benchmark as to where u want or start with any crawler

Nice video! Would the axles fit on fcx18 lc80 as well? They’re rather pricey, so I don’t want to order them, and have them not fit.

Yeah they share the same axles, so will fit both FCX18 and FCX24. 👍

Not convinced about these mods. Lots of weight, for sure, but still only 52/48 weight distrubution. There are better ways to improve the rig. And the shocks look at least for my taste to bouncy and the springs should be softer.
Yeah I did mention in the video the shocks were a bit bouncy. These portals are meant to be a direct replacement. If you wanted to shift the weight forward, I wouldn't add so much to the rear. I'm sure there are better ways, I was just showcasing these upgrades from RCAWD and the improvement over stock, which I think was a good improvement. 👍

Yeah I really like the RCAWD and Injora stuff, the S5 compound Injora tyres are great. 👍
i don't put weight in my rc's, prefer using better tires and softer shocks
That's cool. Some rigs are quite top heavy though and even with really soft shocks, they're going to unload at some point. 👍
These miniature rc are too tiny and very unrealistic versus the 1/5 scale rock crawler.
They're very different RC's at very different price points. They're great if you're just getting into the hobby or space or budget is limited. 👍
