End of life discussion should be as simple as a dinner conversation.
It should take place when everyone is healthy and not emotionally swayed.

My mom died peacefully in her sleep a month ago. It was exactly what I prayed for. She was diagnosed with end stage cancer and given months to live. Despite not having any advanced care planning, it wasn't a difficult decision for the family to opt for no treatment, given her age and other ailments. She was comfortable, with little pain and surrounded by loved ones at home. There was no life support machine, feeding tube, or IV drip. That's a good way to go.

I like this kind of meaningful question, just make us think about our life, and I will start searching in my mind for my own answer when I was listening to others' answers. Also remind us to live our lives to the fullest, love and appreciate your loves one while u still can, cause our life is not eternity. We will leave one day. Just like a quote " No ones' tomorrow is promised."

I am not afraid of dying... But I am afraid of my family's support after I gone to after life.
Therefore, it is important to have financial support, assets... Etc for my family.... This is so important.

It's a hard decision to face but an ACP is actually something very useful if you get sick. It's a bit different system for my home country but my father is terminally ill and we have already discussed with him what he wants. Actually it takes some of the pressure and guilt off my sibling and I because we don't have to make the decision when it comes, we will follow what my Dad has asked of us.
The aunty who still has bad relationship with her siblings cos of the situation of her father's death ... That's so tragic

I like the last woman’s answer of how a funeral should be carried out. It should be a celebration of life, of how you lived a worthy and loving life, instead of mourning and doing all the “traditional” Buddhist stuff, which they do in every funeral in Vietnam

I wishes hope to see my love ones oneday. I'd have family members passed on and I know the death feeling when you lose someone dearly but it's a circle of life everyone will face. I have been asking myself this question too recently! After I witness a close relative died because of cancer. Of course I have seen ppl dying before, I have attended funerals, but she was so close that when she died, it really hit me. I wonder if she feels lost out there after her soul left her body? Where will she go? Will she still watching over us and saw that we were crying hard when she left? But we still need to move on. Does she see it when we were trying to find a place near her husband’s grave so she could be near him (though we are not sure if it works that way in heaven)? So many questions! Suddenly hit me!

Those who take ACP are the kind of person wanna be known as unselfish, because at their last moment where they have the right to be selfish, they still think about others; how they wake up tomorrow and continue their lives.
It is so beautiful to witness that these people have so much wisdom in preparing their last chapter.

Ive heard an impressive answer to the question “How would you like to die” from my best friend. He said that he would like to die while doing something he loves, and he gave an example of that Hollywood guy from Fast and Furious died while driving his car-which is also his passion.
Isn’t it great to die while doing your most favourite thing? I think it is, too.
