Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease, are chronic and relapsing-remitting inflammatory disorders of the gastrointestinal tract that may develop in genetically susceptible individuals in response to unknown antigenic triggers. Although the etiology of IBD remains a conundrum, it seems definitive that multiple factors, such as genetic predisposition, environment, malfunction of the immune system and changes in the intestinal gut microbiota are involved in the onset and progression of IBD. Cr may be a good candidate for an adjuvant treatment of IBD, since it has been shown to generally improve the energy state of cells, to enhance resilience of cells against several cell stressors, to modulate the immune system, to display anti-inflammatory influences and to dampen nociceptive pain, as will be elucidated below.
In this talk, Prof. Caroline H. T. Hall (University of Colorado, USA) presents about the ""Creatine Supplementation for Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases"".

I knew about this from a search about two years ago, and have been using creatine since. I have noticed improvements in my gut health, so I believe you are on point.
but what about your kidney health? You might need dialysis soon..
@@rz5b1qszkdf44 Define soon, been using it for 25 years.
Sorry your post is unclear have u been using it 2 years or 25 years?
@@dollmck8360 25 years.
Do you have UC ?
Thanks a bunch! 💐
Any updates on this study?
Great information!!
this is amazing thank you
Just curious, how do they do 'knock downs' ?
Any updates on the IBD creatine clinical trial pilot study? Also, what type of brand and type of creatine did you use?
I can't find anything online which makes me believe that the clinical trial never took place.
Just go with standard Creatinine Monohydrate. All forms will metabolize into the same forms. Monohydrate is by far the cheapest to manufacture, so companies that manufacture other formulations will often lie by misrepresenting studies or manipulating data directly to entice you to purchase a more expensive product.
Make sure any research you are looking into has a note in the Results section that state that the statistics were done with a P value of (P
Have they preceded with the study? If so does someone have a link? As a person with UC that takes mesalazine every day, im curious if its safe to take creatine and if it has a positive affect

I have eousonophilic colitis but recently it was healed completely....so basically i also have inflammatory bowel disease...can I use creatine??
Yes you can
🙏
And the best source of creatine is red meat. So eat red meat. It heals.
Really bad advice for people with ibd
@@zLefty5 I wouldn’t say that. I’ve seen a lot of people heal their guts fully on meat only diets.
@@zLefty5I healed from iBD by doing carnivore. After I got better went back to omnivore because I like my carbs. Haha
@@zLefty5
It's actually great advice.
@@zLefty5 I disagree. Processed meat is detrimental but red meat in itself is a nutrient dense, easy to digest food which is much needed for IBD patients. Furhtermore, it's highly absorbed in the digestive tract and the absorption rate is above 95%. There's a few studies showing a decrease of CRP level on the carnivore diet although that's not ideal for IBD either long term.
Ulcerative colitis is not an autoimmune disease. It does not fit any of the requirements of an autoimmune disease. Please look into Jay Pravda MD research papers. The cause is h2o2.
@@virtualhustles6916 Having an immune reaction does not mean that it is an autoimmune disease.
You're not addressing the root and immunosuppressant drugs do not work for 1/3 of UC patients. At some point in your life, you will most likely no longer respond to your current medication because you are not addressing the root cause of the disease. That's without mentioning the long terms consequences of biologics.
I have uc , can I take creatine?
