I urge musicians to go check out pop stars live. While you may not care for a given pop artists' computer generated album tracks, they typically employ world class musicians for their live shows. They're worth the price of admission.
i've been to one direction twice, and the live music is so good and Josh is just incredible.
No reason to hate on the kid for having a great gig. Dont act like if someone called you to play this gig you'd turn it down.
I love josh, but seriously guys think about it. There's a lot if girls who love him, and without one direction, he wouldn't be as big! And One Direction are not crap! You just have a different taste in music

This dude has a massive kit for someone who isn't really using /all/ (sometimes he would, duh) of his kit. Josh seems to be a chill dude and his kit sounds so good.

Actually, Niall plays guitar, Louis can play piano plus so can Liam, Harry can play a bit of guitar also but it's just Zayn who cannot so.... You thought wrong.

He isn't a member of the 5 guys of which One Direction consists, he's a member of their backing band so, no they do not play their own instruments.

Seems like a great dude. Yeah it would suck to have to play this shitty, generic music but I bet the he is making some pretty good money doing it and he still gets to play the drums every night....fuck it! I would take the gig over my job any day.

Some of you are beyond ignorant. You DO play your own drums when you're on tour. Do you actually think that every arena you come to has a backline kit for you to hop on? Seriously, think about that. Furthermore, why would you want to play a kit that someone else has already damaged or played and worn out? It'll ruin the performance. Y'all seriously have to use your heads before running your mouths. Let us touring drummers do us and worry about yourselves. Nicely done Josh.

For such an awful band they have a great drummer. I was REAL surprised at the dudes skill but also how humble he was. Rock on dude!
One Direction are humble and very talented guys too. You probably aren't able to accept this fact because you haven't seen actual videos of them. They are better than most celebs at singing live also. Why do you think so many girls love them? No, don't say it's because of their "looks" because that has almost nothing to do with it. If the singers music were ugly as hell and were homeless I would still listen to the music, because it's the style I like. Also, how can you just assume that these lads are awful if you don't know anything about them.
I've heard these lads plenty of times at the gym or on the radio. I have listened to them and they are just another pop band that has little girls screaming their heads off because they don't know real good music. Their fans just like Beiber are young people who have no idea about the true depth of the art of music. Been drumming for 5 years now studying all kinds of music and this genre is awful. The only ones I could stand were Backstreet Boys I think. That's great they are humble or whatever but truth is it's music like this that is ruining the true art of music. You aren't even a musician I bet yet alone are you trying to travel the world one day on it so you probably have no idea where I am coming from.

i love stuff like this. if i played with them i would be referred to as "that overzealous guy", i would, and do rock these songs like i'm playing slipknot on my drums.
I don't like his grip, but I haven't tried those sticks, so I don't know what would feel best with those in hand.

It's an alternating triplet roll feel, very gospel influenced go and watch some videos of tony royster he is a fan of those kind of chops!

Which are those china cymbals that were used on this video?
What drum heads or those and what shells? I love them!
The heads look like clear remo pinstripes to me... And the shell is perhaps birch (outer) maybe mahogany or bubinga for the inner ply... But it looks more like a Mapex set so i'm not 100% sure if mapex use bubinga.. They may use mahogany, correct me if i'm wrong!

The heads are pinstripes from remo and I'm pretty sure the shells are made of walnut from the mapex saturn series
