My dad (his father, too) worked for New York Central, which became Penn Central, then Conrail, and after he died, it became Norfolk Southern. He retired when it was still Conrail. Before he died of esophageal cancer he gave me his old his old rule and time books, railroad locks/keys, and lanterns. I even have his railroad pocket watch.
Lucky are you to have railroad props that could be used on the railroad today. Now that I know I have not met you [yet], I regret that your father died.
Those speedy trains had me dancing in my task (operator) chair without being at the railroad site. Great June to you, Jaw Tooth and once again, Happy Railroading!
Howdy JT! Well... it least it was a Mustang! 😁 Thanks for my rail fix for the day 🤠 Normal crop rotation is soybeans and corn... every other year my property gets a big green fence of corn on 3 sides lol.
The Mustang sounded good, not a bummer but a bonus. The truck frames give a whole new meaning to "frames per second". My Dad always said that watching a fire is better than watching the best television. Some great action on this one, enjoyed it much.
Hey Jaw Tooth, Back in Carlisle, Ohio watching the trains and going through on the tracks and it never gets old watching the trains always exciting and Thank You Jaw Tooth. 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃
This was a nice video with a lot of CSX trains and the one Norfolk Southern local that came along. The trains had a nice variety of freight cars on them. Your tour of parts of your property was interesting to see. That must have been some bonfire based on the number of logs that are no longer in the pile. I am surprised that Mrs. Tooth did not make a video of the bonfire.
Jaw sir no worries.the manny big railfans that follow your channel love even seeing a locomotive pulling cars.that locomotive sometimes being a helper 🙂
Cranking out those trains for the tape you brought good luck to all the fans there with you. Interesting story about your oak trees being stolen. I can't help but Wonder if your logs wound up at The Sawmill in Peebles and went on to become a Norfolk Southern railroad tie. Thanks for the tour now that summer is arriving with the humidity I'm sure those high voltage lines really Crackle
@@VikramCSX If I understand it correctly we see a lot on the NS line as they have that operations agreement with UP to give UP access to the East coast ports. A lot of times they don't bother swapping out engines when they cross operational lines... they both just keep track of who uses whose engines and balance out the differences. I would say 40% of the NS trains in my area have mixed engine consists - mostly UP but some BNSF thrown in for color lol.
Looks like the first train lost it's load Awesome though. That second train was splitting the wind! Awesome DPU. Long train. 😊 Yikes that third one was booking too. It seems dangerous to be pulling those RR cars that fast.😮 I love watching vegetables growing. Interesting seeing soybeans field and Chessie and about your property. Good. Thanks.😊
Ya know, I've often noticed that when there's a single locomotive pulling the front of the train, you can bet your bottom dollar there will be a DPU stuck in the middle of it about halfway through. Happens a majority of the time.
Thanks for looking at your place and its history when you bought it.. glad you got it. yes, plant corn... my dad had a hobby farm about thirty acres or so... he was with the Grand Rapids Michigan for 31 years... the last 10 years... if the paper did not get printed it was his arse on the line. He started in the linotype at the Grand Rapids Hearld in the 50's as move top the Grand Rapids Press when they opened.
When I was typing up the description for this video I scanned through it to see what was in it and I skipped over the short train. I forgot it was there lol
Nice mk1 Mustang at the beginning, thanks for the farm imfo, obviously those transmission overhead lines have a huge impact with that easement over the farm. Good luck with the tax break and new season of corn.❤😊
@@JawTooth Your easement would impact on resale options, lets say couldn't be used for subdividing into residential and probably would ideally be suited for continued crop development which tends to suit the contractor associated to that huge articulated tractor 🚜 🤔
@@vernonmatthews181 Yes, I am fully aware of that. The biggest regulation that affects my farm is the minimum road frontage required per lot. Thats the one that prevents farms from being broken up the most in my area and the second biggest one is the septic system requirements. Those regulations are very strict in my county even though we don't have zoning. The power line easement is very minor compared to those other two. The county adjoining my county isn't that strict and it has a much higher population.
Hopefully one of these years you can make it up to the Buckley Old Engine show in Buckley Michigan... They have two different tracks set up... One for a big steam locomotive and a few passenger cars that is about a mile long. After 5pm they back the train and cars into a siding and allow speeders out on the track and give rides.. They do also have a smaller scale train that gives rides on a seperate track.
Thats awesome Jaw Tooth ! You deserve the best ☝
God Bless 👍

Great video! Awesome farm!! We’re happy for you, bro! God Bless!! 🇺🇸✝️🙏
Excellent video as always! Wow, amazing that the single track CSX line has more traffic than the double track Norfolk Southern line!

Great train catches, and nice view of your land❤
Some awesome train action JT, a great video.
Well, that first one certainly raises the cost per mile.😮 Must be a thrill for local railfans when JawTooth rocks up on the scene!
That first one was likely a local,by days end it will be very different.

Nice catch of the UP SD90MAC at 16:12
Went by so fast I missed it the first time lol. That is kind of a treat - don't see UP locos on CSX here in Ohio much. Lots on the NS lines though. 🤠

A great way to start off June, thanks Jaw Tooth!

Watching enjoying awesome video Jaw Tooth and enjoy the side show too ❤
That really is a great location. And man were those trains in a hurry. Some old,old beat up cars and some shinny clean new ones.
Great day JT
Hey jaw tooth I'd love to have a house between the 2 lines . Just sit on porch and watch trains . Have a great railroad day 🚂🙋♀️
That would be awesome!
I build a promenade deck 360' around the whole house, love the sentiment ❤😊
Good location great CSX train action great video thanks jaw tooth

Fast moving trains. Good to see cars I know started out on NBSR here in New Brunswick.

Rather than burn the brush piles, mulch them into garden soil/compost material!! Less dangerous!!
Another great job JT, boy that single track CSX line has more traffic than NS on the opposite side, at least at that moment. Well done.
Thanks!
Norfolk Southern was moving so fast, all I could count was two cars

"But wait, there's more," funniest one I have seen thus far . . .😂😂
WOW at CSX trans did NS go out of business?
❤
That is a very nice area to live in,away from the noise of the big cities
Definitely a place to chill out & unwind, not like big cities.❤😊
Short trains are just as cool as the long ones!!!
