- Train Enters Main Line After Waiting For 2 Trains To Pass! Close Look At Dupps/CSX Interchange, Fast CSX Trains In Carlisle, Ohio With Happy Crews & Trains With DPU Locomotives Working Hard! These trains are on the CSX Toledo Sub in Carlisle, Ohio passing the Carlisle Railfan Park. Steel coils train booking is included! 5 Trains are in this video.
A group of 6 of us railfans were at the Carlisle Railfan Park in Carlisle, Ohio on the CSX Toledo Sub. The Norfolk Southern Railroad Dayton District is nearby and you can hear the NS train horns from here. First, we see 2 CSX mixed freight trains, aka manifest trains passing southbound. A northbound train was sitting on the siding waiting for them to pass. That is the next train that we see. It has a huge blue tanker with a lid open on top. Then we take a close look at the Dupps interchange with CSX. Dupps only runs across their 5 mile line a handful of times a year. Their track is always rusty.
The fourth train that we see is a northbound steel coils train that is booking. Booking means the train is going fast. Lol. An awesome Railfan friendly crew was on board! That was a good one.
The fifth train is a southbound train with a DPU working hard. I got this one at the railroad crossing on SR 123 aka Central Ave. That was a good train also! The store next to this crossing has pizza, gas and other snacks. Don't forget to see the pets and slide show at the end of the video. This video also includes one of my viewers whose name is Jeff and he actually lived in this area. Instead of getting a shout out we see Jeff saying "Wait there's more!" Thanks for watching my videos Jeff!
We had perfect weather and it was a lot of fun spending the day with fellow railfans. This is Part 1 of 2 parts. Part 2 will have more trains from Carlisle including a Norfolk Southern manifest at a railroad crossing that also includes a CSX track. 160.230 & 160.320 for CSX. 160.980 for NS.
Filmed Thursday, August 17, 2023 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

That might make a good shorts video@@FabianDiazTrainsTrucksNCars
Awesome video with a dpu working hard but wait there’s more 👍😎🇺🇸🚂👍
@Patric5590 you know it
Thanks 👍
I like the fact that more coil cars are moving, maybe we are making more things in America
more "luxury" housing that will sit empty for foreign investors to park their money in
I don't care if it's two trains passing each running opposite ways or on a siding. Love those meets
Happy Monay! Have a great new week!
Good Morning Brian.. Have a safe day one and alll..
@jonwatt678 you know it, one day, I will travel to the USA and film the trains with Jaw Tooth.
Morning!
You and Gambit do train videos right - by keeping the camera aimed down the length of the train so we can see a lot of cars that move fairly slowly across the screen. The perspective view is nice to watch. Some other channels (who shall remain nameless) often focus the camera on too-short of a section of the train. This makes the few cars that are in frame move very rapidly across the screen, which makes it difficult for me to focus my eyes, and is frankly rather annoying.
So, thanks for the way you video trains, JT - and please keep doing it. I look forward to watching your videos whenever they appear! 👍👍
I was looking for Shoestring in that open box car!! Lol. I think he was headed to Canada or Alaska though. Some long mixed freight trains this time Brian! Great spots again!😊
@@kevinshiley9061 Nope, He's headed to sandpoint , Idaho. Ya HOOOoo
Well, JT and Gambit are true rail fan RUclipsrs and know exactly how to properly film trains. Other channels don't.
Lovethese rail videos!my late dad was boilermaker for the former Pere Marquette Railroad , who had a nuge steam engine repair & rebuild shop here in suburban Grand Ralds Mi. We have two main lines running to the Southwest towards Ind. & one towards Detroit, Mich C S X. (Both trackage) we alo have Southern line (formerly Norfolk West ) now l believe Elk Northern.heads to Ind. & points So.
Goodmorning from province of Québec, Canada

That steel train was flying! I've never seen one that long before, especially without a DPU. Awesome! ❤😊😊😊😊
I know!! It was shaking really bad
You got some long trains in this video
Great long long trains today JT! Carlisle is a lovely place for watching the trains go by. Thanks for all you do to keep us entertained & educated too. ❤😊
Many thanks!
Interestingly we have a Carlisle in the UK too. It was once a big railway town.
One thing about American towns and city names is that we're unoriginal and boring, usually end up just copying other places or putting "New" in front
WOW 😲😳
Your cat's gotten big..
In what.

Big rail fan here in south Carolina have fun and be safe
Amazing videos jaw tooth keep up the good work
Love trains
It is awesome how they can get a heavy train like that rolling and up to speed from a standstill. Another great one JT. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Looks like the weather is cooperating too!
Magnificent catches of the trains coming by and pass at this beautiful location, I like it 5 stars, keep up tbe great work, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.

lots of interesting tank car loads. thanks!
Merchandise plus grain and steel as well as tank cars all traveling to somewhere in North America but not before they pass by JT's camera. Ironic that probably one of the smoothest Crossings in the area is on the little-used Dupps spur
Carlisle, Ohio, is a nice area, thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Well done Brian. Thanks again for coming up!!!
Any time! I had a great time. Carlisle is one of my favourite places
You and gambit got those trains sewed up pretty well, no escapees. Excellent video, enjoyed it immensely. Thanks JT!
Thanks 👍
Real cool meet at the siding and some big manifest 🛤🚂and coil/steel train!
Love the angle of the first oncoming train. It was perfect!
And thanks for sharing the fine art at the end!
🎨🖌️🖼️👍
Thank you very much!
That's a huge violation with the hatch standing open on the hazmat tank! A big fine will be coming if a FRA inspector sees that, for the shipper and the train crew! 😮😮😮
It's an LP/propane tank. There should be no open port there, right? Probably a pressure relief valve, right? No immediate hazard to either the environment or contents for it to be open. Possible hazard from physical damage - hitting something hanging low over the tracks.
Great area Carlisle ,lot of train action, great mixed freight great video thanks Jaw tooth and Scott 1960 Gambit
JT, you're getting closer, soon you will have more subscribers than virtual railfan !!!
❤❤ JT gives new meaning to "training"! Thanks Brian! 👍👍

in case no one else has mentioned it. the lid on the tanker car, that is where the valves are located to release whatever chemical they are caring. it is not open to the contents
Far out man, that coil train was screamin thru! ✈ 🛩 🛬 💺 🛫
Thanks for watching!
A great video as always, Brian. Weather was cooperative and trains were on time. See you on the next!😊

Your great videos keep getting better! Reverse image Jaw Tooth is disconcerting, however. 😳 Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Shoe strings might be on one of them grainers
CSX steel coil trains seem to be much longer than NS' ones.
Lots and Lots of big trains there.
Amazing video jt
@trainfan4014 you could say that again
@trainfan4014 i watched your latest video and subbed.

Wow. That was a long ❤ mixed freight! The DPU sounded like it was working reasonably hard. I love ❤ that sound. Absolutely a great catch JT! ❤😊😊😊
Hi JT. Big beautiful long one!!

Hey, thanks Randy!
Fascinating!
Your cat is looking for the birds that land in their feed bowl and take off...
When they switch train cars in a major train yard they use remote controls to control a switcher engine
I have one or two video with remote control. CCET used to have a remote control caboose. It was pretty cool but they didn't use it much. I got it in a couple
Good morning jaw tooth
Good morning I enjoyed the video👍👍
Good morning!
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos and enabling us car-counters to do so by watching your videos. You always suggest to watch another video and I am looking for one but can’t find it. I would very much like to watch a Scorpion in action and see it de-train, and load up a MOW train. Do you have one like that? Again - thank you for your wonderful channel!!
Thank Jaw Tooth for another great video, I like when you film at Carlisle, OH and the top of the hill coming up off the river, love watching those engines sand the tracks to help in their traction. Have a wonderful Evening, love the animals, You need to come to our home in Smithfield, NC we have all kinds of wildlife in our yard, deer, foxes, rabbits, squirrels, birds, etc. Have a blessed week filming.
Thanks for the video

Thank you too!
But yeah good catch on tbe train jawtooth
Good Morning Jaw Tooth.
Good morning!
Good trains, and couple of horn salutes. Thanks for the video! Have safe drives
Thank you very much!
I figured it out.. My media player was causing it to look like crossings weren't flashing. I guess the A/C current & oscillations of the LED flashers at the crossings didn't mesh. When I slowed down the media player, all the signals worked.
The frame rate of the recording device will sometimes block out the flashing light, or in some cases make the light look like it is strobing rather than flashing.
Hello Jaw Tooth from the UK. Another nice video from another interesting location. Some very long trains! in fact one was only a few wagons short of 200! Can you answer me a couple of questions please. 1. What is the longest train that you have filmed (approximately)? and 2. Is there a record in the US for the length of a freight train?
A lot of trains packed into one video. Got to see some vintage cars, old Chessie patched over as CSXT, NYC and possible Reading. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Very cool!
In my experience, tank car lid s/b closed. I saw something at AREMA that shows that they are concerned about loose lids.
Spotted a chessie box car!
Dang that was a long ttain
Nice Video
Thanks for the visit
Wow! Cool freight trains!
Thank you very much!
@@JawTooth Hi Brian! You're welcome!
I always count engines also on every train
Not sure how I missed this video. I still have to put mine together.
I think I have one more to do from that day also
Wisconsin Central boxcar @ 27:49
The southbound with the steel beams was awesome too. 😊😊😊
You can't just take it that a Señor Jaw's GRAIN train will be only GRAIN cars. I just take that with a GRAIN of salt. At least the image is not GRAINY. I see the GRAIN train clearly. Also, I C U the DPU. Just as Señor Jaws does. Although, Señor Jaws calls it with more enthusiasm. I am somewhat of a lackey on a Sunday morning Señor Jaws video, GRAIN or no GRAIN. And, I am not the lackey that is 'a brownish European moth of woods and hedgerows'. I am the other meaning of lackey. You may have to look that up. No pain, no GRAIN, as I sometimes say. Gracias por tu video Señor Jaws. RT sends, Puebla, México...
I stopped counting, this is the longest one I have seen as far.
Wow awesome video JT!!!
Thanks!!
@@JawTooth You're welcome!!
I just loved ❤ the video today JT. Carlisle looks like a super place to catch trains. That's a pretty busy line. Be careful going home. 😊😊😊😊
I saw you over at Jason`s live video.
I love that you named your dogs after Rail lines. Chessie and Norfie, very cool names.
That last train was nothing less than amazing! So, you like Gumby?
Good stuff today Mr Jawtooth as usual.
Happy Sunday.
Thanks, you too!
