Millencolin from Örebro, Sweden has a similar sound. Been around a long time and was about the only thing I listened to when growing up and riding my skateboard
I still remember the X-Acto/Ignite split from way back when. I definitely preferred X-Acto on that effort. "Call on my Brothers" is one of my favorite Ignite records. Also, Zoli's part of a straight up rock band now "Ocean Hills".
More Blind Channel please! 🙏 Your tech knowledge is really impressive and helps in getting a better understanding of what really goes on in a song. I bet with Blind channel there'd be loads of stuff to delve into- cuz those guys really know what they are doing!
I personally find the All Or Nothing album by Pennywise (i.e., the Zoli album) to be one of their best (especially if you remove nostalgia from the equation); I just think that Zoli probably has my favorite voice in punk rock.
I’m so sad to hear Zoli left the band, but at the same time this is solid! You definitely gotta check out Nothing Can Stop Me off their last album. The vocals are amazing!!
........tank. Archspire, Drone Corpse Aviator, pls. Good look at their gear, great Music video to talk about production and fx, and a killer track. i implore you to add it to the queue! (yupp, not stopping till we get a reaction)
You should check out the Our Darkest Days album from Ignite. It was their best IMO. A Place Called Home is great as well. The problem with Ignite is how they did some long stretches not touring and what not. Then they got more active after Zolis stint in Pennywise, but they just missed the window of getting as big as I feel they should have gotten. I'm optimistic with the new singer. He is from the band Holy Grail, a metal band from the LA area, he plays guitar in that, and they're pretty legit, just didn't break through. Eli is definitely a great musician taking over a band I always considered one of my favorite.
I was doubty when I started listening the Album. Eli is carryin Zoli's massive heritage absolutely awesome and kicks it perfect. It's still ignite and I really love it. And yeah..our darkest days is just...pure satisfaction. Can't wait to see them perform live here in Germany. Stay safe 🤙🏻
Man, first time I heard them was back in 2000 when they came out with Bullets Included, No Thoughts Required. Back when I got into sXe hardcore (even though I was far from straight edge) I was accepted into the scene by some of my best friends.
That was really awesome. I've never heard of Ignite before. Green Day is my favorite band and Rise against is my second favorite band. I also love The Offspring (one of my favorite bands setting aside the awfulness that was their most recent album) and Rancid so this type of music is right up my alley. I think I have another band to put on my list to check out now.
Please please please add bad religion to your playlist and listen to the grand daddy of your favourites were only gonna die from our own arrogance is a good starting place also nofx vs rancid split ep is worth a good listen
Feels like I'm back in the early 2000s and listening to my brother's favorite station. 17 year old him would have dug this. Now he's into Pink Floyd and The Beatles and I'm the metalhead! 😆
Here are some suggestions: Archspire "Drone Corpse Aviator" - just discovered this band, awesome; Tallah "Vanilla Paste" - great features; Wage War "Manic" - the most surprising track on their new album, Carach Angren "Franckensteina Strataemontanus" - new discovery, very interesting black metal.
As a total metalhead and prog fan, I was totally indifferent to punk rock for many years, because of it's simplicity. Actually, I still think that many punk rock songs sound exactly the same. This one is a bit different, good guitar work, I like it and will check more of this band. Thanks Tank
I LOVE Ignite and their last few albums are worth a listen if you missed them. Also, This song is great, but the other one from this EP, Turn XXI, leans a little more on the hardcore side and is definitely my favorite of the two :)
Loss of Zoli Teglas is big for me. "Our Darkest Days" 2006 was my summer album no.1 for many years. I mean, Machine Head fucking COVERED it! Amazing tunes! New singer is kinda like Zoli but I miss him much!
hey tank would like to know from you what you think about mount altas- titan, don't have to react to it, but with your knowledge i would be happy to receive a comment
Hey Tank, been watchin some of ur vids since ur reaction to hypa hypa, which broughz me into metal music at all. Wanted to ask if u might wanna listen to "The drug in me is reimagined" by Falling in Reverse. If u have already watched it, then forget it. And to say it sometime, thanks for ur content bud!
Hey Ian you should really check out/react/review Wolfhunt - The Hunt from their debut album Winterborn. It puts Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum to shame. Especially since it's a one man band! Finnish Melodic Death at its absolute best.
OMG I was a big Ignite fan when I was 16 years old. Good memories 👌 long love freedom where I come from...🎶 You need to listen to old Ignite songs. This is not the original singer. Zoli téglás was the original singer. He has like a really signature voice. He haa a really high register.
Yeah, I remember his voice being very unique, and I am familiar with a couple of their older songs. "Bleeding" and "Fear Is Our Tradition" are bangers, and even "Nothing Can Stop Me" from their 2016 album is another I really like.
@xtjx I used to look for zine's all the time at shows. I think I still have some of them at my parents house🤔 but now you say it. It does feel like some lyrics are out of place. They are not in sinc with the music. I like the heavyer tone of the guitars. But after the second listen. It just confirming my preference to zoli's style and sound.
@@TankTheTech Just your reaction of the above following band made me think those dudes are possibly influenced by bands like DRI weather they know it or not. Good old 80's crossover punk/thrash. Have a listen. ruclips.net/video/uNMEbaQtMR8/видео.html
Hi, I would be happy if you would listen to "Hanabi - We love Sweets". Great Song from a great Group (Japanese Metal). Thank you very much and good Luck
I see you already know😆 yeah the new singer... Not for me. Zoli's voice stand for Ignite. But that's just me😉 I wonder how he will perform live. The old songs are really high to sing.
The old songs were really high even for Zoli, live. I watched some old live videos and they regularly tuned down while performing so it was easier for him. And while I agree Zoli has a very unique, signature voice, I really like Eli's voice with this band.
@@TankTheTech I understand completely. I've seen them a lot live, lucky for me he still could get the high notes. Zoli is classical trained so maybe his voice got tired after all these years. Sadly that's for a lot singers the case.
YES DUUUDE, this song was EXACTLY what I needed :D
For me especially "Ignite - Veteran" still pops up in my playlists.
Only did seen them one time only here in the Netherlands and that is a while back
Millencolin from Örebro, Sweden has a similar sound. Been around a long time and was about the only thing I listened to when growing up and riding my skateboard
I love Ignite. They were also one of the influences for Rise against. I love the duet with Teglas and Tim doing Satellite
after watching the Bokassa reaction vid I was gonna suggest these guys, but glad to see you're already a fan! keep up the awesome content, man!
Found your channel through this video...loving your honesty and enthusiam!
Thanks Mark!
really loved this and i have never heard of the group now i will have go go and listern to more of there stuff

Wow, i didn't know that they are so good.
If you're gonna dive back into Ignite, Our Darkest Days is a great jumping off point.
That's a well strung bass you got there in the back!
Thanks! Haha

Yup. Without Bad Religion, none of these bands would exist. There's a whole plethora of fantastic SoCal based bands to check out in this scene.
Hi Tank I started my punk life 1976 with Sex Pistols first singel, this new punk is on my radar now thanks for this input

Listen to the decline by nofx 18min long "simple" punk song, up their with tool, rush and dream theater in my opinion for complexity...
This was a fun one! I'm a big fan of Rise Against, so I am definitely Not Against 😁 Too bad I couldn't make it for the premiere.
Their new song On The Ropes is pretty good!
Yeah it is!
Yup, very pennywisey sound, so great.
This is Skateboard music to me. 🤘❤🤘
Just saw your reaction to Belakor from a while ago. Good stuff. Want more Australian goodies? Ne Obliviscaris and Freedom of Fear
Tank has already reacted to one Ne Obliviscaris song, another one probably no sooner than they release new material. I love this band btw
Craig is a good friend of mine, this band rocks
This takes me back. Makes me want to brush off alkaline trio, and so on.
I still have my fingers crossed for a reaction to Orden ogan fever
Ice Nine Kills-Funeral Derangements🔥

Tank, you've got some beard competition with that drummer man haha
Yeah, he's got a solid one for sure. Haha
You should check the new Ice nine Kill single "Funeral Derangements" it's one of their heavier songs ever!

Have you reacted to damned by sold soul? It's a 17 minute.song so you might not.like that but lot of big names singing and just an absolute banger
Hey Tank, Ice Nine Kills just released a new Song called Funeral Derangements and its pretty heavy.
Maybe have a look on this one?
