Indeed - That's where I got it from. Not as elegant as the formal (half standard rate) hold but for me anyway a much more consistant way to hit my push time. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks for this video, Dcs Hack. Surprising method for respect the commencing time. But i keep the old fashion method (hypodrome holding marshal) because i will never know accuretly how much G to pull for wasting a precise time. Or perhaps i don't understand somethings. Another way to be on commencing time at marshall point: one minute before commencing time, fly with mach speed equal 10*(distance left to marshall point). Exemple about your video: time 27min, 5,2Na left before marshall point, then fly mach speed 0,52 (=5,2Na/10).
Thanks for the reply - Greatly appreciated! I agree. the proper way is best (half standard rate turn hold). I learned this way from 'Jello' Fighterpilot podcast - night Carrier Landings episode and thought it an interesting subject for a DCS Hack!
Great feedback and a fair shout! But when you think of this unorthodox push-time hack as opposed to the normal half-standard rate turns - its agreed that a a few rules have indeed been broken. My rule is once you've nailed the push time anywhere between 275 and 325 until getting dirty at 10 miles is AOK!
Sure, was not trying to be an arse or anything, it does not matter so much on your own, but if you are in a stack, using the AI or multiplayer, busting the speed limit will bunch you up on the guy in front and possibly mean a go around. The 250 knots is supposed to maintain a one minute spacing between arriving jets in the stack. Great hack though, and love the channel.
Nicely done! I've heard Jell-O from Fighter Pilot Podcast's night carrier landing episode mention this technique, very handy indeed.

very nicely done. Nice channel.... subscribed. 😊
Thanks for the feedback! Let me know of any ideas for a future hack you might have?
Thank you for sharing. Could you make a tutorial about hack time within DCS? (i don´t know if you already done that though). Keep up! :)
You mean TOT - time on target? Acontent ideas go on the 'Big List'
Should you not be at 250 knots and 4000 fpm descent rate until 5000ft?
