Nice. Might add that a flight of two will turn their nav lights on to signify such when taxiing. Formations with 3 or more planes utilize the ripple check to acknowledge leads directions.😊
I just found your channel. I'm excited to be learning the "MSFS" half of DCS. Please (of you've not yet) make a series that teaches the piloting/navigating/normal everyday half of dcs. Not how to use the jet, not how to shoot stuff.
Thanks for taking the time to comment - Greatly appreciated! Sadly Victor and Juliet Airways aren't supported in DCS right now. We can, however, use charts and try and stick to real world procedures as close as we can.
@@DCSHacks Thats exactly what i mean. I only have a couple hours of real life flight experience, and in DCS i dont want to milsim because i also have no military experience. But I want to be aware of the proceedures, and know what "should" happen. So that even if i dont exactly follow theme, i can tailor my play to better match real life. Currently DCS is either people taking off from taxiways, or mill sim 2 hour briefs. I want the middle.... realistic (mostly) play!
@@chikokishi7030 the reasoning fly military combat simulators is such that if you can land 1. No ailerons. 2. One flap. 3. No elevator (All due to battle dmg) you will do fine in a mint-condition bird. In my instance, Throttle became both pitch and roll (eng torque) the flap (thankfully was on the left wing) and the rudder also became my roll. It was an interesting landing (20min real-time to line up from 90deg angle-off from airfield but we survived. That was in WWII sim Aces High II. Cheers!!
One thing I noticed in people who fly Lead on takeoff, they go FULL burner on the roll, and that gives the wingman NO room to catch up. Lead needs to go half burner and wingman has a little extra power available to get back into position.
probably one my favorite dcs tutorials...as someone who is not up to speed on the "sayings" or proper coms this helps tons.
Watch Chapter-3 tommorow (Friday)
