Thanks for the feedback! Sadly Mod Aircraft and VA don't always work properly. The EF-18G works with VA but not VAICOM. Skin issues with Multiplayer is also a factor! More content on AI_atc to come - enjoy! HNY

Cabi has created our VA profile which is quite advanced and has a wide keyword spread for any given communication so quite forgiving. Ideally we'd like people to learn the correct Verbage though (as in the real world). Hope this helps?

Thanks for the feedback! Avalanche our core Dev and I'm open to correction but Its completely modular. Just add the script and audio files to any .miz. Just in the NTTR and Nellis for now. Other Airbases like Anderson AFB, Or Incirlik are likely in the future. F135 is assigned and can be identified by a circle on the F10 map!

@@DCSHacks I agree completely. And that's one thing I think DCS lacks most getting flyers over the hump from civil/arcade into actual military practice.

1). Plug and play. 2). Multiplayer. 3). It will give you directions to the parking space you started in. Or if you start the mission in the air it will give you a generic parking space. But if you ignore all the instructions and go park somewhere else it will update accordingly.

It is apparent you have not flown in the USAF/Military. You've probably never heard "Flash" before either?

@@cabi599 Flash is usually a term to describe a transponder ident. He’s right though. I’ve never heard military pilots say “taxiing with the numbers”. It’s information, not numbers.

​@@jjsemperfi it just means that the PC has recieved runway, wind and altimeter information only. Used when an airport has no ATIS afaik. But i dont know if this is used at all in military aviation🤷‍♂️ greetings

VA and VAICOM is epic!. AI_atc is a procedural comms trainer for everyone. Once you've done some training its Soooooooo rewarding and flights take take on a whole new meaning!

What commands do u use for carrier ops? Just got VA and trying to use it to the most potential

@@WW2Fr3k after I tune into ATC and call "inbound" then carrier directs me all the way down to me "calling the ball" , it's so much easier than scrambling for keystrokes

Agreed - You need to remember that AI_atc is very niche. The average DCS player is never gonna use it. That being said we believe that there are enough people out there to justify the effort to make AI_atc becoming a reality! Is there any interest?

@ as far as it being “niche” depends on what circle of the community you fly in. Open multiplayer servers aren’t likely to use it. There is however us old veterans that like to go more realistic with DCS. A lot of people don’t realize how many closed private servers there are that have lots of prior military that don’t want to play with the public for one reason or another. Basically, the same folks that use CombatFlite would embrace AI ATC.

@@billcedarheath387 AI_atc is built with the invaluable assistance of 'Prior Military'. Real world procedures and the act of 'Flying correctly and professionally' in a multiplayer environment with like minded individuals is where this thing is gonna shine. Oh BTW it can differentiate between a single player of a flight! Thanks for taking the Time. In short - Its made for you guys!

I wish ED would just be more open with MODers like Larian is. Would make their job much easier. Or just take these things and pay to incorporate them in the game.

Fairly advanced - IMHO the AI_atc has transformed my DCS play beyond measure. Someone on our group put their finger on it by saying 'It brings DCS to life'. We'll start with a tutorial series and may even run some multiplayer training depending on interest to before going live.

Hi - Does the Altimeter have a delay also?

@DCSHacks Are you pulling my leg here? :) I'd say no bigger than the VVI. But to me flying by altimeter is even harder. Instead of exploring my non-professional ways could you please share the correct instrument hierarchy for night flying in real life F-5/T-38? As a side note: DCS has a known bug causing ADI drift in not-so-shallow turns.

@ I am flying the spitfire and the mosquito. My mission requires taking off from southern England, flying to a German airfield in France, and then flying back home. As the book Moswyito Intruder Pilot describes. I can only follow the group to fly to the target area. Coming back home usually results in a belly landing due to an out-of-fuel situation.
