    Does the Hyper 1100 watt hub motor have a higher top speed than the Mario mid drive.
    Just to be clear the Mario mid drive top speed is slower than the Mario hub motor top soeed, correct?

    • @briandhoward6137
      @briandhoward6137  4 года назад

      Yes it is by 2-3 mph, but it is also weaker on hills , less reliable and less efficient. The Mac motors are known to have many different issues unfortunately.

      I know about the MAC motors being unreliable. I was one of the guys that got in on the Indigogo campaign and i payed for 2 Hyper Scramblers but i was lucky enough to be very persistent about getting my money back. I ended up getting 2 Canp scramblers on Cyber Monday with the 19 ah battery. I payed 1700 each with the 19AH battery.
      I might look into maybe just swapping out my 750 watt Bafang hub motor for a 1000 watt Bafang hub motor.
      If I can get faster acceleration and 33 to 34 mph top speed or 5 mph faster top speed over my 750 watt top speed of 28 - 29 MPH it will be worth it to me.

      @@andreasmikoleiczik6120 glad you got your money back, the first run of hypers was so bad, not even a quick disconnect to change a flat tire. As far as the 1000W bafang hub goes , I can't find them for sale to the general public. Hope you have better luck than me finding one. I was going to toss a 1000w bafang on my step daughters Z1 but gave up looking.

      @@briandhoward6137I am in the same boat, I can't find them, but the Juiced Bike Hyper Scorpion comes with it, so they should be out there, or will be out for sale soon. I might contact juiced bikes and see if they would sell me a complete wheel with the 1000 watt bafang motor. Cross my fingers on that.

      @@andreasmikoleiczik6120 yes I have a super 73 with a 1000 watt bafang hub, but I don't think they are sold to the general public sadly. Juiced may sell you a full wheel that would make it a easy swap .

    I don't get it. the 45 lb difference in rider weight is a pretty big deal. Perhaps you should switch bikes and repeat?

    • @briandhoward6137
      @briandhoward6137  4 года назад

      Oh we have, same result just less of a gap, we have , just unfortunately didn't film it but it is is one big reason the Juiced bike is getting a mid drive.

    • @gursisingh1940
      @gursisingh1940 4 года назад +1

      Yeah 45lb is a big difference but the mid drive guy had his battery at about 30% charge and the havier guy had it at 80%, big difference there too. Basically hub motor had 5 volts×20amps about 100 watts more compared to the mid drive guy

  • @andreasmikoleiczik6120
    @andreasmikoleiczik6120 4 года назад +1

    Horrible comparison.
    Average weight each bike 80 pounds
    215 + 80 = 295
    170 + 80 = 250
    That is a 45 pound weight diffrence or roughly a 20% difference. That is huge.
    I have 2 Camp scramblers with 750 watt hub motors. I am 195 pounds and my friend is 170 pounds, 25 pound difference. From 0 to 28 mph he will get me by 3 to 4 bike lengths no matter which bike he is on.
    We are talking 45 pounds here.
    You really need to do this test again and switch riders on bikes.
    Come on, be more scientific and fair with the comparisons.

    • @briandhoward6137
      @briandhoward6137  4 года назад

      That's why I listed the difference, we have swapped and same result just less gap. 1 major reason the Juiced bike is getting a mid drive now. The owner of the juiced is in the comment section . Also bikes weight is not a factor as they are equal weight.

      @@briandhoward6137 would have been nice to see the results though.
      Interested in seeing the Scrambler mid drive install as I have been contemplating doing it. There seems to be less room for fitment on the Scrambler but it looks doable.
      As it stands by other comments on the Hyper and Mario hub drive and your comments on the midrive Mario.
      Mario hub drive 35 MPH
      Hyper hub 34 to 36 MPH
      Mario mid drive 29 to 32 MPH
      4 to 5 MPH is a lot of top speed to give up in my opinion.
      I would be disappointed if I put on a 1000 wat mid drive and my top speed was 28 to 32 MPH vs my 28 to 29 mph speed as it stands on my 750 hub motor.
