Wonderful tour of my botanical garden. Six years so far in the making. Before and After bonus ending

  • After a very long time of not giving you a tour of my ranch transformations, I finally bring you an update of the making of my own botanical garden paradise. This wonderful property was owned by my beautiful family for over 30 years. They passed on leaving me in charge of the estate. My partner Luíz and I decided to take the leap of faith and keep the property and become ranchers. At first it was not as committed since we already lived in the city. But fate took us there and now 6 years later we call this our own paradise in this 6 years I began working the outside while Luíz and his best friend, plus contractors began the entire makeover of the house. My vision was to turn my parents crop yard into an environmental art piece of botanical beauty, using recycled materials and hand-made idea. Within that massive undertaking I began growing my orchid collection. During the pandemic we had no choice but to stay home so we used the time wisely and immediately took charge of the remaining projects. This episode shows a glimpse of how this transformation is becoming a reality. Join me on this very special and personal tour of my botanical vision. #botanicalgarden #botanical #botanicalbeauty #orchids #gardenideas #gardening #gardeningtips #gardeninspiration #yardcleaning #yard #crop #mango #guava #avocado #sapote #mameysapote

Your ranch is lovely. I live on a land about 5 acres in extent and I know what it is like to maintain a large garden. We have coconuts mostly, teak trees, pepper vines, bananas and many types of tropical fruits. So there is no end to the work .I have left part of it to grow into a forest. In another part I have cultivated tea. Though I have to labour a lot I do enjoy the peace and quiet, being close to nature. Hope your ranch will keep you happy for many many more years.

Everyone knows the BEST avocados come from California 😂😂😂 but as for the rest of your video I have no word to express how beautiful and extravagant it looks. Literally it looks like a resort. I love that! “Every tree looks like a tree of life”. I do love California avocados. The haas avocado are delicious. But we grow several different types here including Cuban avocados. They are called Catalina. In South Miami we’re lucky to be able to grow every type of avocado due to its tropical climate. No where else in the United States can you grow so many different types of Mangoes and Avocados. It is a blessing.

@@naturenel lol, that’s good! I’m afraid of super agile mosquitoes - you know, the kind that can sense your hand coming and are long gone by the time you made contact- only to circle back and bite you somewhere else 😱

Your garden is just so GORGEOUS! What a delightful walk with you. You are so fortunate to have such a nice area in which to relax after your workday. Do you have an acre or a bit larger? The guava bagging is a great idea. Guavas are attractive to fruit flies in Florida. Your partner has devised an easy way to deal with them. Well done! Liked seeing the vanilla orchid growing area. Have you ever tried growing bananas and pineapples? The former are great for wet areas in the garden while the latter are great for sunny areas. These fruits taste so much better when home grown. If you allow them to ripen before eating, they are so sweet and delicious! Thanks so much for sharing this video. It was a highlight to my morning.

You are so funny. A place to relax to after a day of work. 😂 I get home and that’s work space #2. But I do enjoy it nonetheless. I have an acre. We owned the property next to us as well that’s also an acre, but we sold it. I wish we never would have. 😞We had bananas for a while. Never had pineapple. 🍍

Gracias. La mariposa es un ginger. En Inglés se conoce cómo tal. I love it. There was a time I didn’t think it would make it. But it loves that spot. And now it’s growing several new canes.

Nelson, your place is beautiful! If the mosquitoes are driving, you crazy, get some Mosquito Bits (Home Depot, Lowes) and spread them around your yard, and when it rains, it will soak into whatever it is on and keep them from proliferating. It works. Plus, it doesn't harm the other insects. Win, win!

I feel that soon, we may become tropical in our area. Non-stop rains for well over 7/8 days.
    Mid range West Michigan.
Your ranch is truly amazing and will give you bundles of enjoyment when you retire.
( if you ever can retire )

It’s been raining everywhere. It’s just insane how much rain is falling. I hope that I retire very late in life. I’m way to active in many things. But I do dream of just going out to my garden and do nothing but enjoy my free time.
