Sultan Suleiman and his servitors perform first salaat in Rhodes but the sexton of the church attempt to assassinate Sultan Suleiman during the prayer. Sultan Suleiman survives with the intervention of İbrahim at last minute but İbrahim gets seriously wounded. Will his bravery cost him his life? Hürrem suffers child-birth pains. Will she have a prince again? Or the baby is a girl? Hürrem gets dissapointed. Mahidevran gets filled with joy when she gets the news of Hürrem. Sultan Suleiman orders Murat who is the responsible of this assassination attempt to be found. Sultan Suleiman punishes Murat heavily and fear grips the Grand Master who learns about the assassination. Will Ottoman Empire make the whole Rhodes pay a heavy price for the assassination? The Grand Master gets shocked by the decision of Ottomans about Rhodes.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

To be honest though, even if Hurrem thought the sultan would be disappointed about mihrimah it actually makes more sense that Sulleyman would dote on Mihrimah more, in their context although a daughter doesn't really further HUrrem's position, the way the sultan probably sees it is that amongst his many sons (whom he loves ofc), he can dote on his sons while they are young and adorable but they may one day rise to a position in which they can challenge is authority or even forcibly take the throne from him so even if he loves them he will still eventually have to be on guard, as well as the fact that his favour for one son too much can spark rivalry amongst his other sons, but since his adorable daughter although she is strong, could never take the throne from him Suleyman is essentially free to dote on her and spoil her as much as he wishes and in an emotional sense it works out better for hurrem and she will always have a child that Suleyman can love unconditionally

Only thing is, eventually Hurrëm learns the game and bested every single person that came at her. I don't care how ruthless she can be, I would be on her side any day.

Everything Hürrem said went over everyone's head. She wasn't disappointed in having a daughter,at this time, everyone in the palace was smug about the fact that the Sultan was angry at Hürrem or punishing her to say,she was under a lot of pressure. Hürrem did love Süleyman, there's no way she could've faked it but she was also a smart woman, she understood the dynamics of survival and she knew her power and influence as a woman. She did what no woman was capable of doing, she survived. She fought her own wars. She wasn't mad that Mihrimah was a girl, she realised how hard it is as a woman in that world that's why she says,"You're not important if you're not a man" In fact it shows how much she loves her daughter, she doesn't want her to face the harsh realities that were forced on to women back then. Even throughout the series(I've watched this 100x😐🤣) you can see how much she loves Mihrimah. She gives her tough love but you can tell how much she cares about her daughter. That's why Mihrimah was the only Hanım Sultan or born Sultana who was part of the sultanate of women and why most of the women around Hurrem were so influential. From her daughter to her daughter in law,Nurbanu and to her granddaughters. People villianise Hurrem but she represents the maternal instinct so well, she's possessive of her love and protective of the ones she loves.

Hatice and Ibrahim are seriously indecisive lovers, they’ve spent the past ten episodes mooching and moping at each other. I wonder poor Hatice hasn’t got face-ache from sustaining that anguished expression. Their relationship consists of long, meaningful looks with no action other than soppy poems and rather tame little love-tokens. They are like moonstruck teenagers. They contrast strongly against the personalities of Hurrem and Suleiman, who are bold, forthright and decisive. Suleiman and Hurrem have gone down in history for their magnificent achievements. I first heard of Suleiman the Magnificent when I visited Jerusalem in 2017 and admired the beautifully-constructed walls of the Holy City, which he had built half a millennium ago, and which are still looking terrific today. As for Hurrem Sultan, I’ve seen numerous biographical videos on her, especially History Tea-time with Lindsay Holliday, all of which testify to her exceptional abilities and character, she is one of the great women of history.

There was disappointment, but I think more heartbreak for her daughter. Hurrem lives in a world where women have little say. None of those women asked to be in a harem. They had no choice. Even the Valide did not choose her husband. Mihrimah is a sultana and her father's favorite. She has some power. But she's still a woman who has to stay within strict boundaries. That's a tough life full of fear, disappointment, and a few truly happy moments.

She was an impressive historical figure, who could've figured...a slave raising through the rank into becoming the highest position. Idk if she's great irl, but I would say, she's impressive to manage to survive that life and work to get to the 'top' position until her death.

lmao you really didn't watch the episode or paid attention didn't you... besides, no one is a saint here, if you want to survive and protect your family you have to learn to play the game and be vicious to your enemies. At least she knows she's no angel and admits that, unlike the incapable and cowardly Mahidevran. She also teaches her children proper behaviour and who's the sultan here, and doesn't let her children getting mixed up in her own battles. Another thing Hurrem has, and her children too, is loyalty to the sultan. Loyalty to the death. And I'm not even going to go into depth of how much she was a humanitarian, significantly more in real life than in the series, and did a lot of charity works together with Shah Sultan too.

I feel for Mihrimah and Hurrem, partly because of how things were, Hurrem felt pressured to only deliver sons. But sons while treasured, were 'targets'...they could be executed by their own fathers and brothers (and uncles)...while daughters had a tad more longevity as they could be used as political pawns by their parents. Plus, I bet Hurrem's paranoia (thinking they stole her son and switched the baby) was only heightened due to PPD. Yes, I'm aware they don't talk about PPD then or in the show, but it's real.
