The Magnificent Century takes leave with a breathtaking final episode. Suleiman gets plunged into darkness after Bayezid died and he gets even sicker. Selim tries to releive his pain falling back upon alcohol. Defne fights with all her strength to be able to protect her son. She understands there's no way out while she sees Nurbanu in front of her. The mother and her son walk towards the death holding onto each other. Mihrimah gets Nurbanu in a big trouble flaming with vengeance. Gulfem tries to kill Suleiman considering he is the responsible of everything has happened. However, the night ends with a dark secret. After the agony, Selim comes in the capital as the only heir to the throne. Mihrimah severs all ties with Selim since she sees him as a fratricide. Suleiman loses his strenght day by day and gets furious when he hears what his people talk about him.
And Suleiman the Magnificent goes for his last journey in a blaze of glory. An era ends while Suleiman the Sultan of the world gasps his life out!
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Let me tell everyone what happened next (in actual history)
Selim and Mihrimah eventually reconciled after Suleyman's death as both of them were the only ones surviving in the family. Mihrimah even helped Selim to have a smooth succession to the throne by paying the janissaries their ascention fee which was due. Selim remained grateful towards her for the rest of his life because otherwise he could've been deposed or worse, killed. As for Nurbanu and Mihrimah, both of them respected each other and cooperated with each other to manage the harem. As for Safiye and Nurbanu, both of them got involved in a dirty game of harem politics especially after Murad III ascended the throne. Mihrimah's daughter Ayse Humasah became a great supporter of Safiye. It is possible that even Mihrimah supported her from background. As a side note I would like to mention that Hurrem and Nurbanu were never hostile to each other. It is well known that Nurbanu considered Hurrem to be her role model. Unfortunately, fate made them stand in opposing sides in the civil war.
when you know the real history its hard to watch the dramas!!! I read empresses of the east and few papers on Academia bc I was interested after watching , the Russian concubines yes Hurrem did loose it about being beaten by mahi yes really happened called her a dog or Russian meat she was actually BFF with Gulfem hatun and the reasons Suielman killed Mustafa was because of Sulieman's own insecurities about the heir to the throne after Mehmet passed of small pox He really feared Mustafa's popularity and the thoughts of what his own father did to secure the throne.... they had 6 children not 5 Mehmet was his favorite Hurrem was much more accepted and respected than the show portrays
And what or where is your proof?
@@michellerenee92580 And what or where is your proof?
In reality, Hurrem never received the hostility portrayed by the show, except for the bathhouse incident with Mahidevran. Hafsa treated Hurrem well because Suleyman wished it so. All the infighting and banishments portrayed in the show more accurately depict Safiye's life under Nurbanu's rule of the harrem.
How would you know, were you there?
@@meliiina_4647 as if the directors and the story writer of the show were! 💀
@@meliiina_4647history. That's how we would know
😂 people are funny. My goodness.
We watch the show for the drama not it’s historical accuracy
Sumbul was the icon of the show !!!! seriously
Used to be!
Such a shame the writers didn't portray this as "the cycle repeats itself in the harem". Hürrem made her path and came out on top, Nurbanu walked that same path and went against Hürrem the same way she went against Valide Hafsa. Mihrimah goes down the "hate the Haseki Sultan" path and does exactly what Hatice, Sah, and Fatma were doing. Then Safiye goes down the path Hurrem and Nurbanu went down, going against the Valide Sultan (future Valide in Nurbanu's case) herself, most likely Murad's sisters acted against her too.
The show is JUNK... I stopped watching from 10th episode. I loved Erthugul. I felt I was there in 11th century though it also has some flaws.
i could say that in this season hurrem are the main character even do after her death, the writer want to continue the legacy of hurrem
@@jumikakaWhat is that show about?😊 Is it also about the dynasty? Just curious..
@@Elketjeable Yes this one is I think 7th or 8th generation of the first ruler of Othaman. Where as Erthugul was the father of Othaman the first ruler.
Yeah. So sad. Sometimes a few clips here and there... Cause watching the whole thing from start to finish is just depressing. There's nothing redeemable about any of these people. Not here on the series, neither in real life.
12:44 I love the look on Nurbanu’s face when Murad kisses Mihrimah’s hand 😂
Safiye hatun. The one who will end nurbanu and sokollu.
In the other series, the powerful buyuk valide safiye sultan will mention to ahmed and handan the moment she met sultan suleiman along with the powerful mihrimah sultan! Safiye sultan always respected her
Safiye never ended Nurbanu
Yes she did, safiye ended her
@@user-gp3xf7jp9n Please stop spreading misinformation, it's extremely toxic and you're doing more harm than good.

@@princess7jasmine I'm telling things as they are that's all
Sultan Mehmed III, who was lucky enough to be born in the era of his great grandfather Suleiman I.
31:31 They did a great job at here. Even when meeting with Suleiman and members of council, Selim looks drunk all the time. Also he is wearing bright red, makes him looks like dont belongs in the group, among all dark colour outfits.
This entire series shows that history repeats itself if you dont learn from history and i think till kosem no one learned from the history...it was only turhan who learned from history and thereafter i have not seen any women sultan having the same fate as that of kosem and before her.
Kosem tried. She supported Mustafa over her own sons. Only when he went mad did she put Osman on the throne and even then she promoted a son that's not her to the throne over hers knowing it's a risk. Then when Osman killed her eldest son I think she finally realised the cycle will keep going and so when she took power herself she solidified it for murad and most likely stepped down without much drama even though she was sent to the old palace by her son which I think was slightly threatened by her rightfully so cos she was the real power while he wain minority and had connections and allies. But he still trusted her with some things. When he died it was one son after the other that was weak and it was because she was too powerful. They all loved in fear their brother would execute them until it finally went down to w grandson did Turhan seize power. Some people argue it destabilized the empire. It never was as great as it was since kosem. But it also stabilised succession by making finally the rules of succession more stable. But every Sultan that came after wasn't as great as they were before or since
In the show, Mirimah, after that, tucked tail and fled.
Do you know why? Because she knew that if she was to stay, she'd have to clash with Selim and Nurbanu directly. Just like Hatice, Sah and Fatma had done with her parents.
And I think that Mirimah leaves, because she doesn't want to give her aunts the satisfaction that she has found herself in the exact same situation they had found themselves into. She doesn't want to at least justify their dislike for her mother, because the dislike she feels for Nurbanu is not at all different
Yes, Mihrimah dislikes Nurbanu from the beginning. When she does exactly what Hurrem was doing - well, maybe at the beginning Hurrem was more emotional and less cruel.
@@leoswiftie only she might have actually succeed where they had failed.
@@leoswiftie yes. Cause it'd be like her deposing or killing Hurrem herself. To depose or kill a person in Hurrem's standing would have been equal to deposing or killing Hurrem herself.
And these are two facts that Mirimah wouldn't be able to reconcile within herself. To defend her mother so fiercely from the dynasty women only to depose or kill a woman who could easily be in Hurrem's position? Unthinkable
@@user-ob4sq6fi3s Honestly, Mihrimah would have done it without even thinking about the parallels, she's THAT much of a hypocrite honestly.
Yes, didn't she also take bayezids daughter with her?
This is the last episode of MC hurrem and Sultan Mehmet 3 is in the tummy of Safiye and in the first episode of MC kosem Sultan Mehmet 3 died and not shown but inside the coffin.....another thing 3 valide sultan in once scene, Mihrima, Nurbanu and Safiye.
We saw it again later, kosem sultan, safiye sultan, handan, halime. 4 valide sultan in one place
Mihrimah Sultan was Valide Sultan too@@user-gp3xf7jp9n
Mc Hurrem ?! What are you talking about ?
@@dimael657magnificent century I guess
And what abouf Valide Mihrimah Sultan? She took that title after brother killer Selim went on the throne
We want Muhteşem Yüzyıl Safiye. ERA OF SULTAN SELIM AND SULTAN MURAT 3
It’s crazy Murad said he wanted to avoid what his father did and went through but went on to kill every single one of his younger brothers.
Murad didn't have brother
It wan not Murad but Mehemd 3 son of Safiye Sultana
Murad's son killed 19 brothers
Murad and Suleiman didn't kill any one to ascend the throne as they both had 3 sisters and no brother. Their reigns were considered best of the ottomans history
He had 7 half brothers.
This is the saddest series that I've watch without hurrem. Its not quite normal,,.. it feels ao quiet..
So true...Everything changed..
Every single thing 🥺💔
So now, Mirimah is setting up a concubine for her nephew that one day is going to challenge her sister-in-law for dominance of the harem?
Remind me how does this make her any different from her aunts? 🤔
As every Ottoman blood princess she sees her above "slaves" - but she comes from a slave's bloodline.
Literally does not make her any different from her aunt's.
The difference is, she trained her, she raised her. She is not a firuze or some nazenin. She's different. The result proves it
@@user-gp3xf7jp9n Firuze WAS trained as well I'm pretty sure. Safiye just had more smarts
@@princess7jasmine firuze? She wasn't trained by hatice before showing her to Suleiman.
Safiye hatun the future Powerfull Sultana 😯
Sumbul agha is getting old.. and he still alive and kickin..
10:15 only mihirmah have the power and guts to slap the furtre king. This shows a big sister is like a mother.
15:41 Omg I always laugh at this “That demon disguised as a person” BHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The seen between Dephne and Nurbanu showed Nurbanu not as cold but rather a woman caught in situation she had no wish to be in and if it had been a chose were the princes could be alive without being threth she take it,like she said shes a mother and to have her son survive she had to and what mother would not made that hard chose
9:02 what's the fault of Saleem? He did what he should do... only Mustafa can change the dark rules of killing the brothers...
I understand hurrem crime ,suleyman and mustafa were strangers
But making your nephew enemy with your brother ,thats missed up
This is fiction, she didn’t in reality
I never expected Mehmed 3 to be born when Suleiman was still alive, no way we witnessed 4 generations in one era
"Your husbands are your servants. Make sure that they always remember that."
Gods, such a toxic doctrine 🙄🙄
But in Ottoman Empire - yes, she's right.
Well, you have no such a problem with women's sexual slavery showed here, huh?
Hope you think having women be your sexual slaves that you can discard whenever with no regard to their emotions or health is something you think as toxic too.
@@nielubieinceli of course I do. In fact I find the whole idea of the harem absurd
@@nielubieinceli but I hate it even more to hear parents teaching their kids that the world belongs to them and that even their spouses are their servants. And that they must always being reminded of their place or risk to face the dynasty's wrath
what, a way of teaching her gals Nurbhanu never liked her
I have watched this 3 times and I don’t remember this. I guess 4 times it will be!! Lol
As Indonesian I didn't know "iblis mahluk hakikat" are also Turkiye words, must be Arabic origin words :-)
"I curse you day in and day out for spilling our brother's blood."
Wow, that's rich Mirimah. Especially since it comes from a woman who sent one of her own brothers to his death. 🙄
As much as I don't like Selim, I am glad that he was brave enough to call that hypocritical beach to her cramp.
@@leoswiftie she was always happy to blame someone else for her crimes, mistakes and failures. Happy to turn a blind eye to what she didn't want to see.
@@leoswiftie well, she was Mirimah's favourite aunt. This was one of the things they had in common

Unfortunately Mustafa is a half brother. He's a direct rival to your full brother and don't count
@@KoiYakultGreenTea a brother is a brother.
And as for the "full brothers" rule, we saw how much them having both the same parents worked out for Selim and Bayazid
20:50 How can Murad forget that shoot.... how can he think himself innocent like Bayazed?? It's not all fault of Saleem in Bayazed killing. N Mehrman is the killer of Mustafa..
I thought Mihrimah was smart, vicious, and knew when to walk away in the end.
She indeed was smart, but her wisdom and smartness went down as she got old just like her father who lost all his intelligence and wisdom as he got old
Будущая Валиде султан приехала,Сафие!
Actually safiye Hatun was a gift from shezade Mehmets daughter Hümaşah Sultan😂
Suleymans and Ihbrims grandson. Such horrific acts. Osman always said Justice for the children and woman. Sad
Well said Selim To Mehrima. She is Also Mustafas Culprit
I find it so funny that Sultana Safiye isn’t aware that somebody in her near future is coming after her (Sultana Kosem) the same way that she came after Nurbanu and this one towards Hurrem; this was the fatal mistakes of all these sultanate women; ther didn’t realize that you will always have somebody that will replace you

Murad killed his uncle 😢
In real life she really did marry that old man Sokollu😊 Mehmet Pasha. Eww
Sultan Suleiman is also old
I am a massive mustafa fan
But respecting selim at least he admits what he did

Not at all. Hurram sultan was truly a victim at fist. I wasn't acting.Later, she become a villain and did wrong with Shehzada Mustafa. She confessed that, what she done with Shehzada Mustafa was wrong just like Sultan Selim.
Nurbanu did exactly what Hurrem did. Both trying to protect their sons. Why is Mihrimah ignoring this? Such blatant hypocrisy.
17:25 Mihrimah is made such a great puppet in this show, that she takes as a compliment being called a shadow of her mother :)
I'd rather be praised for my OWN brain
I don’t think there’s any harm in being complimented for my mother’s intelligence or victory. I’d be proud
Thats why selim drunks all the time , because of his conscience ofor bayezed execution.
Если Софие медленно и травила Нурбану, то так ей и надо, жестокая!

SULTAN BAYEZIED III TRUE LION
Only time i agree with selim, it's not selim who killed bayezid it was suleyman who killed bayezid through selim
But mihrima had direct involvement in Mustafa's killing

Magnificent century
I have never hate more a character in the series than Nurbanu! So arrogant and power hungry!
All of them in the palace were suleyman's slaves, suleyman can just order and they're dead, but he's merciful to them by giving them powers, ofcourse there would be power greedy people
so kosem is Nurbanu is it?
No. Kosem will be safiyah daughter in law
No kosem is the grand daughter in law of safiye... Ahmed 1 will be the grandson of safiye and kosem will be his legal wife.
