As a Turk and a historian, I say that this film has nothing to do with the Ottoman Empire. The life of the Turkish sultan, whom we call Suleiman the Magnificent, spent 11 years in wars and won many victories. It is the golden age of the Ottoman Empire. He was very much in love with Hürrem, but the harem thing is not what you think. They made the harem like a brothel, but it's a lie. Normally, the harem is a room used for the sultan's family and servants. At that time, apart from the harem and women, other historical events-wars and similar things were true, but not all of them. Unfortunately, they showed our sultan as someone who did not leave the palace, but this is also a lie because the sultan's life was always spent with wars. They showed that period of the Ottoman Empire very innocent, but when Suleiman came to the throne, Turkish armies defeated Russia in 3 wars, entered Moscow and massacred 200,000 Russians. How I came to know about Turkey's beautiful n rich culture? How my interest developed in turkish history ?the thing that convinced me of loving n knowing about turkey ?muhtesşem yuzyil.. love turkey
Turkish culture and history is not about only ottoman empire. Turks came from central asia other name is turkestan. They established lots of empires between the south east asia, europe and north africa.
History of ottoman empire is not turkish. Ottoman empire was multi ethnic and the ottoman language was 90% persian and arabic. Ottoman sultan did not call himself a turk and such thing as turkish ethnicity and identity did not exist back than. For examplw 54 albanian prime ministers ruled the ottoman empire for 200 years and dominated the imperial guard and jannisary guard before.
And seljuck and ottoman empire were established. Both seljuck and ottoman empire were heavily persian and arabic in culture and language. Ottoman empire was even more persian and arabic in culture and more multi ethnic. 4/5 main ottoman military families in the first 100 yeara were converted christians for example abd ottomans were havily mixed with anatolians when the empire started. Turkish republic was one of the ottoman provinces and just like ottoman empire it is very multi ethnic. 60% of the people called turks today are islamified anatolians and other 30% are albanians, bosnians, circissians and kurds. Ataturk created this ethnicity and did it by abolishing the multi ethnic islamic ottoman empire
Ender KURNAZ what is false the ottoman empire was multi ethnic and islamic with persian islamic culture and that turkey is a multi ethnic place and that turks of turkey are anatolian and balkanic genetically??? What is false?
Anastasia looks so beautiful, she should have played in more eps... Also history wise she was so strong, she was taken from her country (Greece) and family but still fought for her life and even ruled. She was so damn clever.

@@kastriotidibra6909 u need read some history. All of your comment is false.
Ender KURNAZ what is false the ottoman empire was multi ethnic and islamic with persian islamic culture and that turkey is a multi ethnic place and that turks of turkey are anatolian and balkanic genetically???
What is false?
Love from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰❤️🇹🇷✌️
Anastasia looks so beautiful, she should have played in more eps... Also history wise she was so strong, she was taken from her country (Greece) and family but still fought for her life and even ruled. She was so damn clever.
Yes but she was killed at harem she was killed and when people notice she wasnt dead they choked by her own hair (i question why people tried to kill her this bad? Yes she was smart but i guess the evil smart.)
@@callmekhaleesi Women who are tactical and fight hard to survive - evil smart. Men slaughtering their sons and brothers slaughtering each other - tactical and justified smart

Who came here after watching all 139 episodes of Muhtesim Yuzyil 😭
I skipped that and came straight to this.
I have watched the 139episodes n now started watching kosem
Seema Reeema..me😭😭
@Battle of Empires it's too late for me now.
@Battle of Empires I'm on episode 52 or something. I'm too invested to start from the beginning.
I also found this serie by accident. And I'm enjoying it greatly.
In reality little Mustafa was only a year younger than Ahmet, and their brotherly love was strong as seen in evidence when later on as sources says Mustafa would be walking around the palace looking for his deceased brother.
Still can't beat Suleiman..When he walks there is momentum..majestic
It is the best reality show and better than the game of thrones
Omg omg omg sameeee
Game of sultans is best game real game play that game
Not really, but it's your opinion ^^🤷
If they were speaking english maybe
No , I am Turkish and this story is lie. You watch Diriliş Ertuğrul and Payitaht Abdülhamid. Diriliş is better than Game of thrones .
Safiye Sultan (Hülya Avşar) is the most beatiuful and talented actress of Turkey and Beren Saat (Kösem Sultan) is successor of Hülya Avşar, greatest actresses greatest tv series.
Safiye is so class and beauty
