Apollo is tied for my favourite god with Persephone. As a musician (and a bisexual) I appreciate a lot about him. Something that I love to talk about is apollos romances with men and women my favourite being Kyrene or Cyrene a famed huntress who wrestled a lion and had a romance with not only Apollo but also Ares, the god of war.

I was also so happy he brought it up, I’m so happy for the author gaining so much recognition. I even found some lore Olympus buttons at hot topic, I have one of the cordon bleu panel where it has the “*un-airy silence*” caption

the funniest characterization of Apollo was in Young Hercules. In a Flashback story on "Hercules: the Legendary Journeys" We see a College Age Apollo, and he's running a Frat House type Temple. he also uses a sunbeam as a skateboard and just flies around like a California Surfer Dude.

Stephen Fry has written some great books on Greek mythology! He takes some creative liberties but for the most part he tells the stories accurately and always with a lot of fun bits of trivia thrown in there. You can experience a tremendous amount of the myths we’ve discovered just by reading those. Hope that helps :)

The thing that I find fascinating about some Greek Myths would change or combine Gods together because they would have something similar they were a patron God of. For some reason Apollo and Helios were combined into one deity. After watching this, it kind of makes sense. I had always believed that Apollo was the God of Light instead of the God of Sunlight.
