I have to say I was concerned for you. You are a real superwoman the way you set everything up in the pouring rain and carry so much gear. It is a shame you can't take the dog with you everywhere as that is like a bit of protection. Great video again and you deserve your channel to grow. You are one of my favourite you tubers nowadays.
Wow, thank you for sticking in with me all this time Reign in Motion. I really appreciate loyal supporters. You are awesome and give me lots of motivation to keep going!
I have no words about new Zealand weather why it looks like rain everyday..😮 I mean rain all the night is best friend when solo camping..it can make u feel not nervous inside the tent..its amazing
My son, who is 37, and I were in a small campground on the Youghiogheny River on the GAP hiker/biker trail a couple years back. The Roundbottom Campground is the most secluded along that section of trail. We were the only ones there. No cell service. Around midnight, we were surprised by lights sweeping across the tent and several voices near to us. We laid there awake a bit. The talking and sounds went on uncomfortably long and the lights persisted. We chatted about what we should do. My son suggested go back to sleep. LOL. So the next morning when we got out of the tent, we saw it was 6 bikers who obviously were delayed somewhere along the trail on their way to Roundbottom. For about a half hour or so I was just a tad concerned. The lights sweeping our tent were the handlebar lights. I do not like surprise visitors. But I'm sure those folks were happy to get to the camp ground after what ever their delay was. Thanks for the Adventure Cathy. Always fun to enjoy your your Adventure OT's.
Great story. I think the other thing for me to remember is that most people feel more secure camping near others. They feel reassured that they are in the right place and that should they need help it is there. So like those bikers, seeing your tent and thinking, phew we are here, the people in my valley probably thought the same.
Hi Cathy good for you for sticking it out it's confidence building. The scariest part is your mind. Another great video thank you. Sending love from Scotland x
You are so right. Part of what I do to get through times like that is to tell myself; 'that's the STORY you are telling yourself' - ie it's not fact. The other one is 'you are stronger than you know' - ie you'll get through this and be better for it. It definitely helps.
Thanks. That is so true. Even the hardest camps are great camps. Always something to be enjoyed, the sun coming out after the rain, a good cup of coffee, etc.
that was a nice but very wet camp, but fun all the same. I'm glad you were able to work through the anxiety. I think if you give in to it once, it would be too easy to give in to it in the future. I very much enjoy being in my tent in the rain. I find it really relaxing. Dwayne
Thanks Dwayne. You are so right. I knew I had to stay so that I could expose myself to a little bit of worry and get through it. Next time I can draw back on that experience. Wet camp, oh yes in deed. It was so so wet. Would have been an incredible camp if I had got set up in the dry and was sipping my wine by the fire when it started to pour down. I need to have a chat to mother nature and put in an order for a camp like that, hey?!
@@adventureot I volunteer to help with radio comms during disasters (eg. Kaikoura M7.8 in 2016) and that adds another dimension to camping adventures. Its good practice for surviving when the usual amenities we take for granted are suddenly not there (no electricity, no water, no sewage, no phones/cellphones, roads blocked, etc). So voluntarily enduring a level of hardship is great training for survival when things go pear-shaped. (Not that we would have earthquakes, tsunami, fires, high wind or flooding here in the South Island, of course! I remember a flooding event about 10 years ago that affected the Flockton Basin in Shirley, I was parked cnr Marshland & Shirley Roads - flooding had taken all cellphone networks down and the only way I could make a phone call was via satphone! Hi Cathy! Well that’s one for the books, there is nothing to fear but fear itself. I’ve lived in and traveled in a van for six years and so far I haven’t had anyone knock on the door in the middle of the night that wasn’t wearing a badge. I’m glad your trip ended up well and you enjoyed it as much as you did. Love that tent!
So true. It is the fear or feeling fear that worries me the most. I know there is nothing to actually fear, but somehow the fear of the fear gets to you.
Thank you Greg, and you are so welcome. Yes very true. I probably looked suspicious myself, a funny light in the valley in the pouring rain. They might have been worried that I was in trouble.
Knowing this area like you I could imagine the spooky nature of those lights on the bridge. We are programmed to flee as a first response but eventually logic prevails. It's quite possible those people saw your lights in the distance off track and perhaps became worried and wanted to locate and offer support. My dear wise dad once told me put yourself in the shoes of the others and see if you can find an explanation. I just loved your video! You really do set such a wonderful example to the adventurous at heart and inspire so many. Thank you!
I think you are right to call your dad wise. I suspect that is exactly the case. They say a light up the valley in the pouring rain and were probably worried something was amiss and came to check on me every few minutes by shining there light down to my camp.
great looking tent with the light right on top inside--makes for a great shot at night. looks as if it sheds the rain very well also. it is an adventure because you don't know what will happen, but, as you said, it builds resiliency and a little fear adds spice to the effort, that's why we take risks-to make life exciting--good video!
So true, we need a little bit or stress to hone our attention to detail and work through things. As long as we can come down off the other side and calm ourselves down we actually teach our nervous system how to relax. I would rather go through something like this; fear.. logic...calming.. ok, than the ongoing day to day stress of some of the things we have to handle in modern day life.
Cathy, another really good video!! I’m so glad nothing happened while you were camping. I know that had to be very unnerving. The unknown can sometimes be a scary situation. Have a great rest of your weekend. Take care!!
You are brave. Well done for staying cool and calm re the weird lights & possible people. You do have to be aware & safety conscious as a woman camping alone. Maybe a small puffer with cayenne pepper amongst your cooking gear could be used in an emergency.
So pleased your early wobble turned into a great camping experience. Looked like a brilliant location to relax, eat well and read a good book - the rain pattering on the tent sounded awesome. Thanks again for sharing your adventures and experiences Cathy. PS The variety of camping travels you are creating are fantastic.
Here in states we have all the predatory animals but humans are always the ones we fear most..what a beautiful spot and way to allow things to just happen and roll with it...
Thanks solo soul. I thought about not showing the bit where I got scared (could have edited it out) but I thought just that, good for people to know you can encounter all sorts of things when outdoors and just roll with it. Thanks.
Hello love your channel like you said you don't really have any wildlife there but it's the people too watch out for but you stay safe out there love from America ❤️
Make sure you can defend yourself. Take your big knife with you. A can of hairspray wíll hurt eyes, and if you light the spray you've got a mini flame thrower. It at least gives you time to get away. Great video 👍🏼
Some good ideas there, but I am more of a 'flight' than a 'fight' kind of girl. I have my sneaky exit plan all sorted each time I camp. I know what I would grab in a hurry and make my quiet get away. ha ha, now I am laughing at how silly I sound. Oh well.
Yeah we get scary moments in the outdoors.. is nice to see someone show how it can happen, it can get very worse... thank you for showing that on your channel..a silky saw open ready can help , emergency only of course..A gomboy or big boy 😢 god bless you x
ha ha ha. A silky saw at the ready... that was me, exactly!! Sneaking through the bushes to try and see who it was and what they were up to. Then I took a look at myself and thought 'what the f, I'm sneaking around in the bushes feeding my brain a made up story about bad guys' when there is no evidence for it and I could be back at camp enjoying my evening'. Some times we can be our own worst enemy hey.
Great video Cathy. Yoy sre refreshing to watch. I too camp solo as a woman, I am cautious but will not let fear rule me. Fear is good to have as it keeps you alert, but I also have a 'what will be will be' especially in the society that we live in. Keep up the awesome.advemtures lovely lady
I have to say I was very concerned for you. I would have been to scared to stay. I like camps were Indi is with you for some protection. Looking forward to your next camp.
Like number 90. I like that tent. But I would want a foor. We have alot of venomous snakes here in Arkansas. And they've been known to crawl into tents 😮 Great vidio 👍🏻💛🙏🏻🇺🇸
Yes, the floor makes it a much safer and cozier environment. It keeps away the accumulative dampness during rainfall. It protects from not only snakes but insects, mice, etc. A floor would be a must for me. This is not a criticism of the video though, just a preference. Cathy is a trooper!
Keep an eye out for my next video. I take the inner section of the tent on that one. I agree with you, a floor and zip up space is great for keeping creepy crawlies out, even if they are not dangerous (ie NZ).
I got to say Cathy, I was worried for you but you are a real hero. I only had one incident where people came around but they were just looking for directions. Also I guess a guy with an 1853 Enfield rifle-musket and 17 inch bayonet was a warning lol. By the way I love your tent and yes agood strong cup of tea works wonders. Stay safe 😊
❤❤❤Wow sooo beautiful camping video very nice. Cathy i have watch your beautiful 3times .God bless you always for more beautiful video take care cathy ❤from fiji island ❤
About 10 years ago I was camping down near Twizel and in the middle of the night started to hear a shotgun being fired (low pitch boom, 1 second pause, low pitch boom, longer pause, repeat). Then saw a light being shone around. It was a bunch of people standing on the back of a ute trying to shoot rabbits. Illegal for where I was, and I hoped that they were not careless/stupid enough to confuse a tent for a rabbit! Love your channel. Daniel (Chch).
Hello Cathy, another great trip. The South Island rivers are always a concern when it rains, they rise quickly and go down quickly. Years ago, many drowned in the rivers, and it was known as the "New Zealand Disease", but now we have more respect for them. Would have been nice if you had got the fire going, would have raised your spirits a bit more. I know it's a concern when one sees lights in the night, but they may have been concerned about the rising river or were looking for Eels. We are so used to being on our own in this beautiful country of ours, and going for days without seeing anyone, that when we do it can be a little unsettling. Have just got in from a night tramp in the rain at Otaki Forks (love tramping in the rain). Got me a piece of birthday cake, there was a group at the hut celebrating a friend's birthday and I was there at the right time. 🤣Anyway, ATB from a very soggy Tararuas. Mike
@mountainmantararua8824 You make a great point about the population density and therefore expectation that we are unlikely to encounter other people. This is even more true in the SI, and at times when only a nutter would be out. :)
Yes you two are both on to it. We are very lucky in NZ that we can feel safe in the outdoors (once we know how to respect the weather and the terrain). If I am not camping alongside a road I expect every person I encounter outdoors to be a 'damn good bugger', and to date I have never been let down. Oooo, cake when out tramping. Now that was a good score Mountainman Tararua!
Nice post showing the best of NZ weather, you definitely was being spot lighted , looking for them little red eyes, and lots of us go out in rain to look as we also think who's crazy enough to go out in rain 🤔 well there's that dude that's lost two of his dogs lately, ( crazy RUclips people) and reality of NZ ' we don't lose too many people to the crazy ones out in rain '
watching from Philippines and Singapore ,Keep up the good work, I know it’s hard on doing this kind camping vlog, but it’s seems your enjoying it. Keep safe , hopefully you will have collaboration with abel & victoria or AB camping, -
Thank you so much Beckspace. Yes yes, it is very hard work. Lots and lots of preparation, planning, videoing, editing, cleaning and repairing things. I appreciate your kind words.
Good morning Cathy. I am glad you had a good time, but I am sad you were so worried about the lights. Not that in these times the worry is justified. I hope you are not deterred from camping that close to other camps in the future. As to the question about who would be out on a rainy night, the answer would be Meeka and myself. Like you, the weather does not deter us from camping all year round. No, it was not us out there. We have not had the pleasure of visiting New Zealand, although I have been to Austrailia several times. Stay safe and have fun.
Thanks Jeff. You know, I genuinely will remember this comment next time I hear or see people when I am out camping in the rain. Your comment reminds me that there are plenty of other great people not deterred by the weather and just to get on with my thing and let them get on with theirs. And maybe go and say 'hi'.
Hiya Cathy 👋 Vivian here Another ENJOYABLE Vid , but will admit, I reminded myself a few times it wasn't 'LIVE. I, myself was a bit 'Anxious. When u Slowly open tent in the Mrng was 'SCARY 😮 Abt the light, I guess We'll nvr knw.🤔 I would always keep that 'SWORD near me. Till then ✌️ 😎 P.S. Kisses 💋 😘 to 'INDI
Hi Cathy, Superb Tepee style tent,I have something very similar, lots of room and great at shedding Rain. 😊 an refurbished Gas bottle is my Stove, tonnes of heat.and great for drying damp gear. Hopefully you'll get a full set up in dry conditions soon😊 ATVB2U. Scott Somerset England
👍👍👍 I would think that whoever was behind that light would probably have been asking the same question about you being out in the in the rain 😁. 'Fear / Anxiety' (aka 'Bang Broek' 😏) are natural 'Survival' Instincts going way back. Being able to prudently manage them, while still taking cognisance of one's 'gut feel' and common sense, are skills that can only be developed if they are 'tested' and hopefully, each time, one comes out better for it the other side. Shining the Light towards you .. perhaps it was done purposely in order to let tell you that , "hey, we are over here, just that you know." In really testing weather conditions, depending also on how remote or rugged the area, I would perhaps go over and introduce myself to the effect, "Hi, it's only me. I'm far away enough as not to be a bother, but near enough so that in an emergency, you will be able to hear my signal whistle. If I can do the same for you, just whistle." And then be off back to my camp .. hopefully that being the end of it. Lovely rain, nice grub (you could have just toasted the bread in the pan) .. thanks for the share. Until next time then .. take care ..
Thanks Tommy. I like your style. I think had it still been light I probably would have wondered over to say Hello. Nice to settle yourself and recognise there is nothing amiss before night fall sets in. I would think they were probably a bit worried themselves by a funny light up the valley (that kept turning out - as Cathy hid in the dark, lol).
At first I thought this wasn't relaxing at all...( for you anyway) but then I realised that's exactly what an adventure is...not knowing what's going to happen! I'm about to start reading " A difficult Summer" by Gillian Baxter. Just waiting for the paperback version (£11.99) to be sent out to me.
This was a good but scary one. Liked seeing you cook and show you eat some. Also feels more cosy with you sat in a chair. Always looks uncomfy when you are sat on the ground. Was scary as heck but you held it together well. I would have freaked out more ❤
I loved the bed, that was super cosy. I also loved having my food on a 'table' even though it was actually the stove. The chair though I am still undecided on. I am very flexible and love sitting on the ground. I find it so comfortable compared with wobbling around on uneven ground on a chair. It is really good when the ground is wet though, I have to agree there.
I stayed at Anticrow hut on Sunday night and was provided "jump scares" approx. every 10 mins by a possum 😊 I do tramp alone and my rule is the further I am from the road the safer I feel and the bad guys would be too lazy to walk this far. I think maybe your visitors were just being nosey or looking for something else.
It's funny isn't it. Even though we know they are just possums, they can give you a fright in the night. I'm just back from a trip where last night a couple were in a tree doing that horrible horror movie screech that they like to do to scare me witless. Luckily I am so used to it now that I just roll my eyes and say "bring it on mate!" The first time however my heart was beating like mad as I had no idea the sound they made. I am with you on the 'bad guy' thing. Not enough baddies around in NZ to also expect that those that there are will bother hiking 3 hours to steal your rehydrated meal and an old swandri shirt.
Well done U, always inspiring, awesome lady...✔️💯 I could listen to U chatting all day long & so good that U conquered Ur worries about the other people that turned up... I imagine it was rather unnerving having lights pointed towards U, but I'm guessing that they were probably just campers arriving later than planned & trying to do similar...? That rain sounded like it was just hammering down constantly😯, so there's no way I'd have been bailing out during that😄, unless the river got too high...! I'm guessing that if indi had been there, U'd have felt a little less anxious, but U took & deep breath, made some lovely food & had a great time...👊 I recall that my Grandad (rip) had dreams of moving to New Zealand many decades ago & I can see why...🙏 He never did, but always enjoyed life, was a pillar of our family, much loved & missed... Keep up the good stuff & look forward to watching Ur next adventures...!👍
Thanks Kev.B. Yes the crazy weather made it less appealing to pack up and leave, for sure. So much effort to get there and get set up that I wasn't prepared for a little spook to put an end to my adventure. Apart from that small portion of time worrying about the lights I actually had a great time.
Oh yes! It was funny to reflect that a rising river posed more real threat than the people, but I felt the river was predictable and if I respected it then I was fine. People on the other hand are unpredictable, and that is what makes the mind wander. I mean really, I still have no idea why someone would stand out on a bridge with a torch in pouring rain, over and over. I'll never know. Oh well.
Living in California, and I love to camp, there are bears which I am absolutely NOT afraid of, there are mountain lions which are very rare therefore not scared of them. I love all animals. The only thing I am scared of are the humans.
Eeeek, I thought about hunters while I was walking alongside the river to have a look who it was, and so quickly retreated back to the obvious light of the tent. Not keen to be mistaken for a deer.
Helli Miss Cathy I wonder watching your braveness (bold and beautiful) your steady mindset in camping inspires other women campers. This video is very best video for me.. Take care........ Well wishes from Bangalore India .
Good on you for overcoming your fear. We have such imaginations, ay? However, in today's world, things can and do happen. Can you think of bringing something like pepper spray or sleeping with a knife next to you or something like that? Thanks for another lovely rainy camp! I can't wait to see a hot tent camp... perhaps in the snow?
Yes imagination can run wild hey. You didn't have to wait long for that hot tent camp. Hopefully you have seen the video out today. No snow, but there is plenty more winter to come hey.
Hi there. It was amazing. How’s Indi doing. . Do you feel safe when you bring indi with you. Also happy everything turn out well. And nothing bad happened love Louise Canada
Thanks Louise. Indi's company is very reassuring. But when she is with me I feel responsible for someone's wellbeing in a way that I don't when I am alone. I guess we look after each other. Camping buddies.
Now that’s a plausible explanation 😆 he’s another crazy person out camping in the rain. Or maybe these rain camping YTbers are starting a new camping trend 🌧️ 🏕️ 🤪
She is fine. I will give her a pat from you and let her know she was missed. This spot is in a National Park so sadly I couldn't bring her. She will be back in the next video.
I am glad you were safe. I hope you have some form of protection (e.g. pepper spray etc). I know one of the well known American youtube campers spoke about having some form of protection for himself. Its sadly a dangerous world out there.
@@adventureot It is better to have an overactive imagination than to underestimate danger. With overactive imagination, its means you are ready for anything,
If you put cold water in your Cowboy coffee after boiling it with your coffee in, it will sink grinds to the bottom and you can pour just the nice coffee. Science.
No we don't. There are white tail spiders that like to hide in clothes if you leave them lying about on the ground and some people get really nasty reactions to them, but not everyone. That's about it for snakes and spiders. So basically, nothing to worry about there.
I would advise only camping where yiu can take a Dog and a barking one. Indi is too nice lol. Im glad you're brave to bring us this because this wouldn't be my hobby. 😕. ❤
Those other people with the light were probably asking each other "what other weird person would be out in this kind of rain except us" hahaha!
Ha ha, absolutely!!

I too camp solo as a woman, I am cautious but will not let fear rule me. Fear is good to have as it keeps you alert, but I also have a 'what will be will be' especially in the society that we live in.
Keep up the awesome.advemtures lovely lady
Thanks so much Jacinda. Great to hear from other ladies getting out and enjoying the outdoors!!
AB camping or Abel and Victoria, they are just as crazy fantastic as you. 😂
They sure are, love both of their channels.
Thanks
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Sorry for the late reply. Indi dog and I just back from a camp.
Hello from Bob and Pups in northwest Oregon forest.
Hello you guys. Thanks for the support.
Beautiful as always Cathy!!!! Loved it so much 🥰
I am so glad. Thanks for letting me know.
I have to say I was very concerned for you. I would have been to scared to stay. I like camps were Indi is with you for some protection. Looking forward to your next camp.
Thanks Nancy. We are just back from a camp together with no noises (or lights) in the night. Pure bliss.
Lucky New Zealand is 100% snake free!
Keep an eye out for my next video. I take the inner section of the tent on that one. I agree with you, a floor and zip up space is great for keeping creepy crawlies out, even if they are not dangerous (ie NZ).
@@turronitaAnd you have no big predators to worry about👍🏻
I got to say Cathy, I was worried for you but you are a real hero. I only had one incident where people came around but they were just looking for directions. Also I guess a guy with an 1853 Enfield rifle-musket and 17 inch bayonet was a warning lol. By the way I love your tent and yes agood strong cup of tea works wonders. Stay safe 😊
Hot food/drink is great for morale, esp when cold/wet.
Thanks. Ah the wonders of a cup of tea, hey.
❤❤❤Wow sooo beautiful camping video very nice. Cathy i have watch your beautiful 3times .God bless you always for more beautiful video take care cathy ❤from fiji island ❤
Thank you Subhash. You are certainly very committed. Always watching 3 times and commenting even more. Thank you for your support.
@@adventureot most welcome cathy take care love from fiji island god bless
About 10 years ago I was camping down near Twizel and in the middle of the night started to hear a shotgun being fired (low pitch boom, 1 second pause, low pitch boom, longer pause, repeat). Then saw a light being shone around. It was a bunch of people standing on the back of a ute trying to shoot rabbits. Illegal for where I was, and I hoped that they were not careless/stupid enough to confuse a tent for a rabbit! Love your channel. Daniel (Chch).
Yikes, good time to stay in your tent and not go exploring.
Thanks!
Awwwww, thank you SO MUCH!! (grin)
Thanks OldInUseless Hancock, that is quite true, seems I am not the only one crazy enough to be out in that weather. I have a clan of fellow crazies.
watching from Philippines and Singapore ,Keep up the good work, I know it’s hard on doing this kind camping vlog, but it’s seems your enjoying it. Keep safe , hopefully you will have collaboration with abel & victoria or AB camping, -
Thank you so much Beckspace. Yes yes, it is very hard work. Lots and lots of preparation, planning, videoing, editing, cleaning and repairing things. I appreciate your kind words.
Thanks Cathy great video tough set up in the rain
You are so right. I try not to make it look too miserable but there was no escaping this one. Lovely once set up though.
Hiya Cathy 👋 Vivian here
Another ENJOYABLE Vid , but will admit,
I reminded myself a few times it wasn't 'LIVE. I, myself was a bit 'Anxious.
When u Slowly open tent in the Mrng was 'SCARY 😮
Abt the light, I guess We'll nvr knw.🤔
I would always keep that 'SWORD near me.
Till then ✌️ 😎
P.S. Kisses 💋 😘 to 'INDI
I imagine you had to remind yourself a few times that I must have lived to make the video, ha ha.
Thanks Scott. I got my wish, yay. Just back from a lovely trip with the hot tent. Video to come soon.
❤
Thanks
Awesome camp!!! Loved it so much 😃
Thank you Pranesh. That is so kind of you.
You are so brave 👏🏼 I would of been sweating too had o seen that flashlight coming towards me lol 😂 good on you!!!
Thank you
😊
Thank you
👍👍👍 I would think that whoever was behind that light would probably have been asking the same question about you being out in the in the rain 😁.
Shining the Light towards you .. perhaps it was done purposely in order to let tell you that , "hey, we are over here, just that you know."
In really testing weather conditions, depending also on how remote or rugged the area, I would perhaps go over and introduce myself to the effect, "Hi, it's only me. I'm far away enough as not to be a bother, but near enough so that in an emergency, you will be able to hear my signal whistle. If I can do the same for you, just whistle."
And then be off back to my camp .. hopefully that being the end of it.
@@adventureot 👍
Brave
Huge respect and the coffee in the morning looked perfect
Oh by golly yes it was. So tasty!!
Yes that is true, part of what I am seeking is the unknown. I don't know that book. I'll have to look that up.
Fun.. fun.... fan......😊
Thanks
Nice 👍🏾
Thank you
I stayed at Anticrow hut on Sunday night and was provided "jump scares" approx. every 10 mins by a possum 😊
I do tramp alone and my rule is the further I am from the road the safer I feel and the bad guys would be too lazy to walk this far.
@@adventureot Yes U did, & so did we...l👍🙏
I can handle most creatures visiting me at camp but, the two-legged kind freaks me out.
Oh well.
@@adventureotmaybe eyeing fish in the river🐟 😅
Oh boy…that was creepy 😅
Living in California, and I love to camp, there are bears which I am absolutely NOT afraid of, there are mountain lions which are very rare therefore not scared of them. I love all animals. The only thing I am scared of are the humans.
At least the animals are predictable hey.
My first thought was illegal night poaching looking for eyes of animals to aim at.
Well wishes from Bangalore India
.
Thank you
Maybe that light is to help people who are out at sea. It rotates and flashes, so people can see.
Ah ha, now that's a thought.
Maybe it’s ABCamping. He’s in New Zealand.
Now that’s a plausible explanation 😆 he’s another crazy person out camping in the rain. Or maybe these rain camping YTbers are starting a new camping trend 🌧️ 🏕️ 🤪
Hi. Where is the other half of the team? Is Indi ok? Another great video.
Thank you. My over active imagination is probably my worst enemy out there to be honest.
@@adventureot It is better to have an overactive imagination than to underestimate danger. With overactive imagination, its means you are ready for anything,
Very true. You don't want to be naive.
Pepper spray, mace, etc are illegal in New Zealand (unless you are licensed under the Arms Act to carry them).
If you put cold water in your Cowboy coffee after boiling it with your coffee in, it will sink grinds to the bottom and you can pour just the nice coffee. Science.
Oooh, I like science. Will definitely try that one. Thanks.
I think you should always have your car close as you can do you can leave if you need to
Yes either that or very far from it so people have to walk for miles (and can't be bothered).
Does New Zealand have any deadly snakes and spiders like Australia?
No we don't. There are white tail spiders that like to hide in clothes if you leave them lying about on the ground and some people get really nasty reactions to them, but not everyone. That's about it for snakes and spiders. So basically, nothing to worry about there.
Did you ever find out if they were camping
No, they were gone when I arrived back at my car.
Where do you live
I'm in the south Island of New Zealand.
I would advise only camping where yiu can take a Dog and a barking one. Indi is too nice lol. Im glad you're brave to bring us this because this wouldn't be my hobby. 😕. ❤
I think that is a good plan for when I am camping near a road. Away in the back country it really isn't a concern. Too far for the 'bad guys/gals'.
U. Newd. A. Longer. Raincoat
Yes I do
Thanks!
Thank you too James. I really appreciate the support.
