I'm not on discord but I could use some help. I have everything set as you, but from an external view, my wheels look like they are shuttering/flickering terrible. I also get it around the nose of the plane. Once I leave the ground, it seems to clear up. I'd appreciate your help
how do you get that window that shows your gpu stats? thanks for this video as it points out the exact issue I'm also having. But I have a 3090 and that has 24GB of VRAM. So I really don't think that's the reason for my studders when panning around the cockpit. Although I would like to doublecheck my VRAM usage like you, but I need that tool you have to monitor it.
I started using the mod a few days ago. I use the 0.50 version with my rtx3080 12gb gpu. My sim works perfectly and I now have everything on ultra and still get 110fps on average even over cities. I don't fly with those noob external HUD things so having them jittery doesn't bother me. It has transformed my sim. It looks and performs fabulous on my 34" Oled monitor.
Thanks for the explanation. Unfortunately in my case, only in-game menu/hud would be jittery even when I have the LOD right down to 10, but the actual aircraft itself was smooth.
Terrain level of detail is mainly CPU dependant, so if you increase this, you increase the CPU load (and normally hit the single core bottleneck) hence the frame stuttering. If you have a 5800X3D for example, you should be able to run the setting much higher than a 5600x with the same GPU and settings.
got a r5 4500 16gb ram and a 2060 6gb and running fs2020 on high end everything with 55-60 fps in cockpit and about 70-75 fps outside sometimes even going up to 85 so this mod def works like a dream
I confirm that with my 3090 despite the 24gb of VRAM, it was at 92% with the Terrain LOD set to max (400). At 200 Terrain LOD, I could have a smoother experience when panning. Yet artifacts or flickering of windows and menus still there. And by the way, I use TAA and not DLSS as it makes my glass cockpit blurry
Even with a 4090 and 7950X3D it is there still. But these monsters don’t get hot and exhausted at all. And I’m running everything maxed out. Turning down settings doesn’t do anything. Also with .08 still the same. But the mentioned this in the readme and on GitHub. It’s not bug free but I will take it for granted.
@@royvankan2723 uhhhhhh why are you using the frame generation mod on a 40 series card? DLSS 3 frame generation is SO MUCH BETTER than the FSR 3 mod as it utilizes the tensor cores (specialized AI cores for generating the frames) So I suggest disabling the mod and just using the DLSS 3 frame generation on DirectX 12.
@@televisio8652 Good explanation, though I switched it off and use the DLSS3 frame gen. and I can confirm that now I am getting a lot less FPS (45) and a utilization of 100% where with the FGM it was getting around 35-40% utilization. All with the same settings. Unless you can explain me how to get these performance back with the DLSS 3 or explain to me how to this to work without?
I tried 0.6 but havent tried 0.7. At version 0.6 i did not have the problem that you described, but I do have textures glitching like the tires, cockpit windows and UI. And I was also not able to load A320 Fenix, it would just freeze the sim. And with DX12 I had random CTD’s. Im doubting to try version 0.7. Because its still a really impressive game changer. BTW using RTX2070. Cheers!
What you are seeing here is a maxed out CPU. High TLODS kills your cpu. If the two rasterised frames are too different (because of a stutter) then frame gen doesn't know how to create the intermediate frame between them . This causes the wild instability when panning. Frame generation won't fix a flooded CPU. What it will do however is allow you to alleviate pressure on the CPU. Example: Lets say you get an average framerate (without Framegen) of 40fps - (it may dip below this a bit when panning because of sudden cpu stress). Now turning framegen on will give you around 80fps. This now allows you to cap your frames to, say 60fps, thus freeing up your cpu a bit
Thing people need to understand is that this mod was made for CP20277 and Witcher 3, we're using it on MSFS 2020, so it will have it's imperfections. i just tested out .70 patch it's hell of jittery and buggy, i was using .5 no problems compared to the latest. I just reverted back.
I have a large home cockpit using 3 SONY BRAVIA 43" TV's. While I get great FPS on the center / main monitor using FG in MSFS, Frame Gen doesn't work on the left and right screens. Does this mod supply FG on just one screen as well?

Please help: 1. No previous mod whatsoever. Installing latest dlsgg (unviersal) 0.9 by putting just those 2 dll files in my C:\XboxGames\Microsoft Flight Simulator folder. 2. Scheduled GPU etc. enabled in windows 10. 3. Open simulator, frame generator on, v-sync deactivated. Dx12 on. Restart simulator. Going from previous TAA with no frame generation and dx11, to frame generation on and dx12 will make my fps drop from 50 to 20. What am I missing? EDIT: RTX3070 and flying in 4k. Could it be a vram issue?
Yes it is a VRAM issue. I am using DX11 myself on an RTX 2080TI because DX12 maxed out my 11GB VRAM thus resulting in the jittering. Only way you can really use FG on these cards with less VRAM is lowering the resolution to 2k. There is just no fix around it. Even at minimum settings in 4k my the game is still demanding over 12 GB of VRAM.
No matter what I do I cant get away from the texture flickering/ghosting in my cockpit view. My FPS is amazing, maybe double what it was. But I had to turn FG off as the flickering was just wrecking my experience.
Reshade looks fantastic with the right profiles. Even the modified atmospherics from Asobo still look a bit off when I switch ReShade off and on again. I use LumaSharpen, FinalLight and a Levels profile to add contrast @@215pilot6
I have two same monitors (2560*1440@144hz), when my mouse is in the main monitor with sim running, there are flickers. (Seems like the generated frames have a small lag). But when I move my mouse to the other screen (and click it once to move my mouse out of the sim), the flickering just disappears. Mod version is 0.8 and GPU is 2070S.
I have a 3090 so I doubt Vram is the issue considering the card has 24 gigs. In the right corner of my sim I get a huge black/blue square that keeps flickering after I select an airport and load in and it just won't go away for some odd reason.

I have the same stutters but on a 24GB 3090. I did not have it at one point and it was smooth when panning and then they started to increase. Or maybe that's an illusion and they were there. I will install the VRAM gauge to see
Seriously, get yourself a RTX 4000 series GPU with 12 GB or more VRAM. Image generation is an exclusive feature on 4000 series and it fixes all those stuttering and so on. Never had a similar smooth flight simming experience on any sim or rig in the past 20 years.
No, definitely if anyone can afford it they should definitely go straight to it 40s but for some users that just updated to the 3000 this is the best option

I only have issues where the sim comes to a near standstill on approach. Haven't figured out a fix. I think its a CPU bottleneck. Hate this AMD CPU I bought in 2020
You shouldn’t be having any issues on approach I have a AMD CPU, and after using this tweak my CPU usage is around 30 to 45% at 3.8ghz have a pin coming on the top. I can help you one of one on discord shoot me a message.

Same issue here, they are random, not sure if there is a fix for it, but there is a temp fix by just changing a random setting (without hitting apply yet) then revert back it should go back to normal. But I also heard alt+enter twice would work too. But have yet tried
@@vitconliyea, I don’t think there is a fix for it yet AFIK, but I’ve changed the vsync option to fast in NVCP, seems to happen less. I think the stutter happens due to base FPS dropping less than 15. Maybe lowering settings will work. But give the vsync setting to fast a try. It only happened to me once in 4-5 flights. 🎉 lmk what happens
If I need to scale back the texture resolution so far back why should I use FG. You can just use DX11 with the same frames. It's not the mod that is the issue but the broken msfs Dx12.beta. Dx12 in msfs never worked for me.
I love how all these "fixing stutters" videos boil down to reducing tlod to < 100. You don't say!!! Let me tell you this: you won't have ANY stutters at all by not starting the sim!
Well producing the TLOD only applies to some users with 6gb-8gb card not everybody there’s some users that have 12-24gb graphics and they have no issues. Cheers!

Yea, I have the same graphic card, an EVGA RTX 3080Ti 12GB Ram and the same Fenix A320 Aeroplane. But the issue I am having is when I have an open window on the screen like the Map or the Camera option screen etc. it starts to jitter with FG and I don't like that. Also, I can't seem to get 60 FPS. Only 29 to mid 30ish. It must be some of the addons I have install..I have many small little addons like birds flying around, new taxiway graphics and taxi signs. That could be my issue with FPS.
Am i the only one who have grayed out on off button for dlss frame generation 😢😢, i watched 100 of videos and did exactly the same like all people, and still nothing...rtx 4060 8gb

try to get used to flying in the cockpit that way the hud wont be a problem

I'm having the same issue, but my gpu is only 3060ti hahaha. Even in the menu when selecting an airport its having artifacts

The creator of the mod made some updates. The flickering is less noticeable now update your file and see if it makes any difference.

What error are you getting?
Try using the in built fps meter and you will see the true FPS.
the developer internal fps sadly does not count fg

70% LOD is not good for vision far to the horizon. This is not a solution. At 70% you have a lot of frames and no FG.

I downloaded the mod, but the frame generation option doesn't show up. But the fps is still a little better
It din't show up for me either, you need to enable DX12 and also Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling in windows graphics settings.

I think the stutter happens due to base FPS dropping less than 15. Maybe lowering settings will work. But give the vsync setting to fast a try. It only happened to me once in 4-5 flights. 🎉 lmk what happens
If I need to scale back the texture resolution so far back why should I use FG. You can just use DX11 with the same frames. It's not the mod that is the issue but the broken msfs Dx12.beta. Dx12 in msfs never worked for me.
Well on dx11 you’re limited by the main treat… in big airports can only get 45fps… so fg is a life saver.
I love how all these "fixing stutters" videos boil down to reducing tlod to < 100. You don't say!!!
Let me tell you this: you won't have ANY stutters at all by not starting the sim!
Well producing the TLOD only applies to some users with 6gb-8gb card not everybody there’s some users that have 12-24gb graphics and they have no issues. Cheers!

Yea, I have the same graphic card, an EVGA RTX 3080Ti 12GB Ram and the same Fenix A320 Aeroplane. But the issue I am having is when I have an open window on the screen like the Map or the Camera option screen etc. it starts to jitter with FG and I don't like that. Also, I can't seem to get 60 FPS. Only 29 to mid 30ish. It must be some of the addons I have install..I have many small little addons like birds flying around, new taxiway graphics and taxi signs. That could be my issue with FPS.

Did you make sure to turn DX 12 and I think the 40 series have framed generation by default might be wrong
