thanks to Nukem9 for making the original post with the info. I made sure to test in lax wich is the most demanding scenery on msfs, before enabling the tweak I was getting 35fps, By enabling frame generation I’m able to achieve a constant 60fps everything on ultra besides terrain level of detail with is at 100 at 1440p, used the fenix a320 and LAX from Inbuilt… I’m speechless

You just doubled my frames dude!! I tried so many solutions and nothing would work. This one did. From 35-40 fps in busy modded airports it went up to 70-74.

215 Pilot please help me with ADMINISTRATIVE PRIVILAGES as I can not apply the 2 files to the Windowsapp
folder with the Flightsimulator.exe whatsoever. I go to files in the XBOX app and there is no Browse, just check for updates.
I have a 3080ti and a 12900K and normally get around 35FPS when flying in dense Scenery with high FPS impacts and Tobii Eye Tracking turned on. With this MOD enabled that drops to about 26FPS. There is noticable Shimmer at times although the Panning is VERY VERY Smooth mostly. With Dev MODE Turned on the Overlays Flicker badly and I notice a distinct difference in the reported FPS between MSFS Devmode and NVidia Control Panel FPS. For me, there is not enough Visual Gain to use the MOD. I make heavy use of POPOUTS for the G1000 G3000 and GTN750NXI and there is a solid FPS frame rate increase when those panels are NOT popped out with the MOD enabled. When they are enabled the FPS I see with the Mod enabled is lower that without the Frame Generation Mod. I will move on to try the Island SIM technique.
Thank you for this. It works great but I get a lot of screen tearing when I move too quickly and on takeoff. Any solutions? Running a 2080 Ti.

It works well, but the hud in the 737 has a bit of a stutter on the ground. Any fix for this?

Thank you for your video. I did it and it shows me the first warning Popup when starting MSFS2020 (Steam). But it doesn't show me Nvidia Dlss frame generation row in the settings..... Am i doing something wrong? Thank you.
make sure you have dx12 set!
Hey man don’t know if your going to respond but I don’t get the pop up to say that dlss is loaded before launching you know why? This also doesn’t affect my frames what so ever they stay the same?

My simulator get crashed whenever i use fenix a320.. any solution?
Would love to know why this works miracles for some users and does nothing, crashes, or makes it worse for others. i7 10700, 3060ti, 32gb ram, 1tb SSD here and no performance increase at all. New stutters and choppiness and the usual DX12 CTDs. Runs better without it on DX11. I have the latest drivers and DLSS files.

Unfortunately performance gets worse for me - Frame gen requires DX12 on, which uses a lot more VRAM. Once the VRAM usage hits the limit the FPS just craters to something like 10 fps. 3070 8GB Laptop, Flightbeam KMSP + Fenix A320 + FSLTL traffic.
I believe vram has a lot to do with the frame generation:/ sorry mate
try increasing your virtual memory paging file in Windows, I did help me with VR
It works great but if i use dx12 , some ground textures get messed up like at airports i have random spots where its a different texture,its a different tyle basically. Anyway to fix this.

files placed, nvidia cp v sync had been set to on, gpu scheduling also, the registery activated, dx 12 in game set (steam version)
I also have a RTX 3060 and it does not work for me. The log file for dlssg_to_fsr3.log is generated but nothing changed

@@215pilot6 thanks! i was getting a lot of CTDs, randomly, citing some “driver hung” even under low load. but since updating a lot of my main add ons (FBW, Fenix) i haven’t seen a CTD in weeks. only way left is up!
After a month of using, I've got pop up error after 1-2 hours of flight: "Your graphic device has encountered a problem and the application will exit. Error: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG (0x887a0006). This could be due to either of: 1) a driver fault 2) an application bug 3) graphic card overheating 4) graphic card overclocking. IMPORTANT: You appear to be using DirectX 12, whose support is still in BETA. The error may disappear when switching back to DirectX 11.

It Hass to be directx12 it’s very hit or miss when it comes dx12 it affects the video memory usage, on the sim so that’s why there’s some settings that I took down to save on video memory

Went from around 35-40 fps in the fenix a320 with scenery to 90-104 fps, my specs are I5 12600k paired with Rtx 3060 12gb 32gb ram using the new v0.8 btw game changer literally unreal

I use laptop with ryzen 7 and rtx 3050 and i love it
It went from 10-15 fps to a playable 35-40 fps atleast i can do flights now!

what do i do, if i go to my graphics settings and I dont see Hardware-accelerated GPU Scheduling as an option?
Type it on the search bar on your windows, it should appear
i cant get the "Frame Generator" to show in the general options window i sim
You need to use provided reg file and merge it, without that you're not gonna see frame gen options in msfs

Yeah, the file has been updated since the first version so now when you put it in, it doesn’t show the pop off so it’s just appears on your settings so you should be all fine
Desperate guy here. I tried this method in VR with no success and decided to go back to my previous setup since it was more than fine with 45 fps, but even after restoring the pc from before the mod, I[m getting horrendous performance and lots of cpu bounding and have no idea why! Tryied everything but at this poit running out of options and really considering formating my machine. Any tips before I do that anyone?
Make sure to torn sync off and run the sim on dx11 not dx12 that should set you back!
I can set frame generation active in MSFS, but when I want to start a flight, loading does not end..... Any ideas how to solve?
System is an AMD Ryzen 9 3950X with 2080 Ti card.

From my testing frame generation needs to be at least 60fps native to work the best and this is on my 4070. Anything less adds latency. AMD has some ways to go to catch up with Nvidia's version.
This is hacking FSR 3.0. LOL. It's how the older nvidia cards are working. Remember nvidia actively locked you out.

I tried it last night v0.6. It works, but im getting CTD and micro stutters with high to ultra settings in NYC. But the FPS performance is incredible.

Hey there, great vid. Tried both the 0.5, 0.6, and 0.7 versions. Followed all the steps to a T, but not seeing any results at then end of it tbh. When I load in at KLAX I get about 34 fps on the runway, with this mod installed correctly and Frame Gen activated in settings, still getting around 34, but just more stuttery I feel like. I have a 3080, 48gb of RAM, 2 165 Hz monitors. Anyone know why this is not working? Thank you!

Hey! Im also having this issue. In fact, it seems to get worse. Im using a 4k TV as a monitor. I dont know if the refresh rate could be the problem, but i know it goes up to 120- hz. Dell Notebook G15 5511 RTX 3060 64RAM i7 11800H. Vsync doesnt make any difference. Best setting i found is enabling DLSS and putting it to Performance Mode. All the other anti aliasing options are way more fps heavy. Unfortunately, i expected different results.

It wont let me copy the dll file into flightsimulator folder,, it tells me I need permission to perform this action. I changed ownership/permissions but its still not letting me. MS Store version, and I moved it from original location as I ran out of disk space. Via the xbox app I get no files/browse option?

hello @215pilot6 im having an issue with the installation of the mod, i followed the instructions to a T, yet, i am not getting the message popping up at first when launching the game, nor am i getting the option to toggle frame generation, However, i do have the ability to toggle AMD FSR (which has replaced DLSS in the setting menu). when running the game, i struggle to get half of the frame rate i normally get with my 3060 and I7-9700k both of which are overclocked. when running without the mod installed i can get around 30-40FPS on a normal day, however with the mod installed i get 15 if im lucky. I've tried everything i can think of to influence the performance, but nothing has worked. i messed around with the nvidia control panel and that did nothing either. I am not sure what the issue is, but frankly the mod has been more of a frame-halfer than a frame-generator. i think the fact that i dont get the message popping up when launching with the mod installed has something to do with it, but im at the end of my rope at this point. Hope you can help
Make sure you’re running in direct 12 and that you installed the reg file, with the current update the message doesn’t come up when you open the same it should appear on the Settings page

I did everthing correctly, but I'm getting a bug with dx 12. The bug is actually a texture bleeding; i'm sad abt that bcs I with frame generator I could up my In-game fps to 90 - 100 but with this texture bug make my sim ugly and it makes your experience pretty bad.

not working for me, the game just crashes on launch, when i change to DX11 it launches but option not available, ive tried everything, the only thing i have installed is reshade, could that affect it? i have a RTX 2080 ti 11gig
thanks dude, got it working eventually, getting a 20-30FPSincrease MSFS on 2080ti. Issue was Reshade, uninstalled and it worked straight away. I had an odler reshade version so I updated and downloaded the latest version and reinstalled to MSFS (do not select Open XR on install, only DX 11/12) alll works together

The drivers version don’t matter what matters is that you turn on DX 12 instead of DX 11 cheers, brother

same thing with me, tried it on my RTX 2060. What GPU you have?
Yes, static panels such as atc or the hud look awful when moving the view. I think FSR tries to move them along with the rest of the moving world in its generated frame only to correct the next native frame. Maybe because my 2060 doesn't get me enough framerate, in the 30's....

Make sure the X 12 is enable and after the recent updates, it doesn’t give you any pop-up. It just appears on your settings.

That’s pretty hot, adjust your fan curve I believe the limit by Nvidia is 95c you can look up the limit on google for your specific card!!!

Rtx 3060 Aero 12GB, i7 4790 32GB, SSD C:, SSD D: now on ultra and terrain detail 300, 45-54fps 😊 so if we can do this, why on earth isn't Nvidia allowing us to do this?
Nvidia probably wants us to spend more money on rtx40 series graphics cards to get this feature😅
nvidia uses the tensor cores for frame gen. while amd figured out a way to do it without tensor.
Got the same card as you. But I’m getting major jitters when zooming in and out of the world map and taxiing after landing.
@@derbybOyzZ I noticed that my GPU Usage has gone from 40% to 45-65%, so it's obviously doing something good, or was until I tried flying from a different area, now it's just bombing the screen out everytime it loads in to a flight. ☹
@@swiss275 I heard that sometimes you can clear the cache for the card and that helps, I've just started crashing the display driver now I'm trying to fly from a different airport...

@@izakeasley7414Have a look at minute 5:22 it says this feature requires an RTX40xx series graphics card. Not sure if it's true because apparently there some people with RTX30 cards for which it worked. But it might be a reason it doesn't work for you.

Rule 1 to disclose. Can you remove it back to factory without a full reinstall of MSFS? This seems like too much fucking around to me. I’d literally rather spend another $1000 on a new card than to fuck with my sim and reinstall. I got 690gb worth of Sim.

Genuinely doubled my fps.
The UI flickering is a bit annoying but I’ve gotten around that by downloading an addon that has its own UI on a different application.

Turn off Vertical sync in MSFS, go to NCP and enable it under the programs/MSFS tab, I set mine to fast, but you can set it to your monitor refresh rate. If you set it to fast it will run as fast as it can without tearing, if your refresh rate is too high it can allow tearing.@@luclucvovan8314
