My wife and I were on vacation in Paris about ten years ago. We had a corner room on the upper floor of the Hotel Regina Louvre across from the Louvre Museum. We had decided to stay in one evening, so I went to a local shop and bought cheese, cold cuts, bread and some wine. We moved a tiny table out on the balcony to enjoy the food and the incredible view down the Rue De Rivoli. There was a radio in the room. I turned it on, and it was apparently tuned to a classic station. The first song that came on was this song by Edith Piaf. We realized it was a magical moment for us both, and something we will never forget. Thanks to Edith Piaf and Paris.

Hats off to the director of this movie... If he wanted he could match the emotions of this song through the camera movements but, he didn't. He decided to match the emotion of this song with the Marion Cotillard's acting and expression... Damn! What an amazing actress she is!

I started listening to Edith Piaf many many years back, she actually pulled me from EDM kind of music to this kind of music. Then there was a time when I didn't listen to her. Suddenly few days back I recalled how I used to like her singing. Then I came back to listen to her again and I got goose bumps once again. This kind of music never fades, it never gets old.

For me, the best film about Édith Piaf will be the film "Piaf" from April 10, 1974, with the actress Brigitte Ariel, who also played in the film "Monsieur Klein" by our late Alain Delon. The voice of Édith Piaf is performed by our late Betty Mars, who had the same voice, the same timbre to listen to, with our great actor Guy Tréjan (September 18, 1921 - January 25, 2001). There you go, Marion Cotillard can go back to cleaning! When you have seen the 1974 film "Piaf", you will all change your mind, it is very close to the truth!

La Vie en rose (Edith Piaf)
A queen of hearts and a master of endurance.
Marion Cotillard, I just love her performance. I must have seen this movie a half a dozen times. :)
    “No Regrets”
    No! No regrets
No! I will have no regrets
    All the things
    That went wrong
For at last I have learned to be strong
    No! No regrets
No! I will have no regrets
    For the grief doesn't last
    It is gone
    I've forgotten the past
    And the memories I had
    I no longer desire
Both the good and the bad
I have flung in a fire
And I feel in my heart
That the seed has been sown
    It is something quite new
    It's like nothing I've known
    No! No regrets No!
    I will have no regrets
All the things that went wrong
For at last I have learned to be strong
    No! No regrets
No! I will have no regrets
For the seed that is new
It's the love that is growing for you
