Ya back in the early 2000s I had a Fairmont 4 door 396w c4 3500 stall 355 gears be lucky to had 400hp I would have jump on on that fox in a street race he's running a 5 speed an a street tire. If ya spinning ya not winning. Would've like to have seen some of the suspension set up. I love a fox as much as any enthusiasts but kinda doubt his story just a little bit sure the car has the power on slicks at a preped track maybe but on the street very doubtful.
The 285 ET Street SS has been the only tire on the street that works well, so far. It takes 3,500 RPM or so till the boost builds, so that helps come out of the hole easier. The street cars I was racing in Cali typically hole-shotted me by a car or two. Then the boost built, 1st & 2nd were sketchy, but the powershift into third is where it hooked up. All the cars I ran would start getting reeled in from that point and it was a question of whether I'd get to the finish first.
On low boost, ~8 psi, it went 130 mph when I had it in Bakersfield while I was having problems with the McLeod Original Street Twin. That was probably ~600 rwhp. In my Cali street days, I eventually worked my tune up to running 12 psi. So, probably 700-ish. Made max power (954 rwhp) at 22-24 psi when the fuel system ran out on E85.
Anyways, the suspension pics are available on the message forum I mentioned up front in the vid. MM Max Grip package makes it all very stable/controllable when it gets squirrelly.
Doubt if you want, but my friends from Cali can confirm.
EVERYONE with a Vortech wants to know the part # of that upper radiator hose to get rid of their cut n splice Vortech supplied eye sore !!😂
Future plans needs to put the heater back in that makes no sense not to have one
Whats up with the steering wheel?
Smiley face steering wheel. Best OEM fox steering wheel Ford made.
