The shed looks awesome! FYI for the future. A 2x4 is actually 1.5” x 3.5”. Every size board is actually a half inch less from the original numbers. That is why the shed fit perfect when you were short 3”. Back yard is coming along very nicely. Keep up the great work.

That is a nice shed. We have a big wood one. But my husband said we may be getting an ATV. And we will need somewhere to keep it. So we could bet one of those sheds to keep it in. And it would fit where we need it to. Behind our other shed. I like that it has vents. We added a fan to our big shed. Because we live n Georgia and it’s 90 degrees here for many days. So we bought a solar fan to keep it a little cooler inside. So he may have to do that with a metal shed also. Good thing he knows what he’s doing on that. If we get one. It will be my husband and me putting it together. And we don’t work to well together. He gets mad and loud and I’m not sure why. So if that happens it will be a one person job.
I’ll look into a solar fan! I didn’t even know those existed lol.
You should use fiex seal
it will help with the inside flooring and outside water proof. I saw this on another RUclips channel and it really will help your base last longer

Sieht super aus, mal sehen wie lange es hält. Wir haben auch so einen Schuppen nah am Haus stehen. Wenn schwere Dachlawinen mit Schnee auf das Dach fällt, halten leider die dünnen Metallpanelen nicht stand. Bei euch sehe ich ein Problem mit dem Baum darüber. Fallen bei Sturm dickere Äste darauf, könnten die Dachpanelen dies nicht aushalten. Kleiner Tipp noch für die Zukunft, die Holzseitenteile der Grundplatte immer vorher mit einen Bitumenanstrich versehen. Da das Holz direkten Kontakt mit der Erde hat. Hält dann somit länger der Witterung stand. Grüße aus Deutschland.

Hi Megan. The shed looks great! You all did a great job! I imagine you'll be putting some pretty flowers around the shed or at least in the front on the sides, maybe in pots. Oh yes, don't forget to put some kind of lighting in the shed, so you can see, especially if you have to get something out when it's dark! We have put a couple of these sheds together when we were younger. It took a while & a learning experience for sure! Do you have more projects for the backyard? That'll be great to see, too! We just built the same shed a couple of days ago and for the most part the same mistakes you guys did, we did lol
Overall it was easy and well explained but definitely when running across a mistake the shed itself let you know 😅
But we love it! Perfect for all holiday decor and well secured with extra storage space

The good thing is when you make a mistake you can’t get too far beyond that. It would suck to get it 90% built & then realize you messed up on one of the first steps lol

Make sure to caulk around the bottom of the shed good or when it rains it will probably run underneath and into your garage, my dad had this problem

Was wondering what you where going to do for lighting. Are u going to install battery push button lights inside for dark days when sun is not out to help look for things inside your beautiful new shed
I don’t think so. We don’t go out there late at night for things, so I think we’ll be just fine as it is 😊

What size is your shed? Their prices are so affordable.
Mine is a 10x12, but it sells out regularly because it’s so affordable!

That old wood may not be very healthy to burn if it's been treated, painted/stained. Could irritate the lungs and eyes.
We changed our plan & we’re putting it out with the yard waste 😩
