Thank you for the kind feedback, and for the support, I really appreciate it! I have a couple of videos in the works which should be out very soon! Happy New Year!
Everything up and running perfectly, with 1 exception: 2k Sports games. NBA and NFL 2ks have all kinds of graphical glitches. I've tried changing every setting and combinations of that. Nothing helps. Anyone have any thoughts?
hi there, question regarding NAOMI emulation via flycast ... I have exact same set up as the video (BIOS & ROMs in Windows Apps Retroarch folder) most Naomi games work no issue however some crash & throw a "Core does not support VFS" error, despite all the games being in the same folder. Everything worked perfect on the last UWP version (RetroArch-msvc2017-UWP_x64)
That’s interesting.. is it any particular games that are crashing, or is it just random? I was planning at looking at the Naomi emulation at some point this week, so I’ll see if I can replicate the issue.
Nice... Doesent work for me. I get always the same error with all 40 Games i own. Core doesent Support VFS and the Loading of a extern copy failed. Anyone any ideas?
When I go to controller there's no controls and buttons I can't map to, when I try to change a control it will pop up as "--" idk how to explain this good but basically I can't play dreamcast games with controls
That's really weird. Just so I'm on the same page, you're going to the core menu, "Controls" and then you're not seeing a controller showing up under the "Port 1 Controls" option. Is that right?
I haven’t had any experience with the Raspberry Pi, but I’d hazard to say that would be the way to go, purely because it’ll be a little more versatile if you’re putting it in a bar top, especially with the controller configurations. Hope that helps!
I just did a little bit of reading and it looks like this is a known issue. I’ll be honest, I haven’t messed with the Dolphin core yet, but am planning on trying to take a look at it over the weekend. I’ll see if I can figure out what’s going on and will report back if I can find a solution.
You'll still be able to play your regular retail games by exiting Dev Mode, and everything will function exactly the same way. There have been a couple of issues with Dev Mode locking up systems, but from what I've been able to find, it's a fairly easy (though a little inconvenient) fix by doing a factory reset. Since Dev Mode is a Microsoft developed App, and you're not messing with custom firmware or jailbreaking the console, it's about as safe as it can be. Hope that helps!
Are you talking about the standalone installation in retail mode or the one in developer mode? It’s hard to say what Microsoft might do down the line, but I’m being overly cautious and only using RA in Developer Mode. I feel like MS may frown upon side-loaded apps more, but again it’s hard to say.
I had the same issue on my XSX but I found a fix for it. On the 'shaders' option on Retroarch menu, make sure it is OFF and save Overide. By default it is on (even though there are no filters apply) and it does affect performance on the Flycast core. Try it and performance for games like Crazy Taxi should improve
I've run across a couple of games that have a bit of slowdown, but overall, it's not been too bad. It seems that Rookie Monster may have a potential fix below!
@@HalfCircleForward the new Retroarch 1.9.14 on Xbox have Flycast with full DX11 support now. Going to try it tonight to see if the core have improve. Several people told me it is much improve.. will give an update
@@HalfCircleForward I’m using retroarch on switch and I’f assume it’s the same process. But I place the game in the dreamcast folder for retroarch but it still doesn’t load.
@@car1it05WAY To be honest, I’ve not messed with the Switch build of RA, but you’re right, they should be pretty much the same. Are you getting any error messages when the games just fail to load and did you add the bios files? I’d check those first to make sure they’re good.
Okay, that could be a couple of things. Check to make sure your bios files are good and then check to make sure your game files are good. Is this happening on all games or just certain ones, and are you trying to boot from a flash drive or the SSD?
I was looking for the UWP build a couple of weeks back, but I didn’t find anything, I know there’s one floating around though, just got to find it! Definitely want to check it out since I had a good experience with the DuckStation UWP too.
The BEST vídeo for Dreamcast on Xbox ..more videos pleace ❤️

I have a game not loading past Sega Logo, do you know what is the issue?

Should I buy an XBOX series S or Raspbery pi4 for my bar top arcade, playing emulators ?

Anyone know how to get Phantasy Star Online working?
Can I still go online and stuff as normal on my Xbox? Also is there a chance of it bricking if it goes wrong?

I installed the app on the series x. So far so good but I wonder if Microsoft will ban me if I use it
