@ UniqueTQ. Well.... when you are good it feels like freedom but when you are bad at skating it feels like a mix of impending health care bill bankruptcy and riding a bike on training wheels.
I’m still a beginner and it feels the exact way she described. When you LOVE skating, no matter how hard you fall, what injuries you incur, you patch your injuries, put your skates right back on and feel exactly how Indy described💙

Yeah that was me when I first got my roller skates on my feet I couldn't even stand but now it's very different it's easy to stand keep my balance on my roller skates just keep trying don't give up keep roller skating!

Always said gymnasts are the ultimate all around athletes. You can take gymnasts and put them into just about any sport and they will excel.

Not horse riding, the only useful thing gymnasts probably would have (when horse riding) is balance, you need balance in horse riding, but flexibility not so much

This video brings tears to my eyes. To see her use her body as a means for that freedom she describes is pure empowerment. I’ve been skating for 4 weeks and it does feel like you’re flying. Especially if you’re outside🕊🕊🕊

I like her she is so awesome!! She inspired me to start skating ramps on quads and i been doing it for 5 months now. People should try it is fun and you will discover places and meet a lot of new people
Have you done ramps on roller blades? I’d be very interested to hear the similarities/differences
@@damianloder6080 i been skating for a few years now and i never skated inline skates but definitely a thought for the future. Im currently on moxi jack boots (roller skates made specifically for park skating) and recently bought a second pair 🤙

I Roller skate every morning and i love it! Doin' some new things with roller blades and having fun! I wish i can be in USA. In the country i live, there is only 1 skatepark :(

Nah, that’s all about control and technical precision. She looks like she’s a dolphin riding the wake of a prow, swerving and jumping for the joy of it. There’s really not much joy in competitive figure skating, more in ballet but figure skating is all technical precision to earn points and using cheat codes like backloading the second half of the program with jumps for extra credit, jumping with hands over the head for an extra point, doing bielmans and needles in spins to get extra points there and making sure your jumps are fully rotated so they can’t go back in slo-mo with a protractor to measure the angle of your landing blade relative to the angle it your takeoff blade leaving the ice... it’s just little girls being churned out in Russia to win at the expense of having an education or any kind of fun as a child, delaying puberty with strenuous excercise and diet so the hips never widen and slow rotation. Not joyful in the least. I just went from ice to quads after being homeschooled as a child competitive figure skater, and I’m pissed off at the sky for drizzling because I want to get back into a bowl. Yesterday was my third day in park and I dropped into Venice and did the exact run that Indy does at 2:13 at sunset last night. I doubt I’ll ever go back to ice because it’s such a boring, brutal and elitist sport. Figure skating is Regina George

This inspired me to want to learn how to skate, and do gymnastics. I’m 14 tho, so am I told old to learn gymnastics ? I hope not 🥺
You're never to old to do anything but to become a gymnist you'll need to put in extra effort because girls younger than you have already spent years learning and profecting things that you'll just start learning so you may feel inferior but don't let that get you down if you really wanna become a gymnist just go for it.

Agata Steeldaughter super late reply but try strengthening your core! Indy has a really good video on easy work outs that improve and strengthen your core which results in better balance. Having good balance will help A LOT when you start skating. Maybe you can go to skate parks with roller skaters to see tricks they do and stuff?? Hope this helps 💖
