Father Mike Schmitz has taught me more about the Catholic faith in a year than I’d learned in my entire life. I grew up Protestant, but God led me to the church and praise God I’ll be received fully into the church and baptized this Saturday. Thank God for people like father Mike who teach us our faith in such an accessible but raw way.
I love this! I love Father Mike because he’s so genuine. I learn something new every time I listen to him. Who else feels like you could call him and talk to him like an old friend?
The #5 talk made me fall in love w the Eucharist!! (I’m not Catholic but have been through rcia and am excited for my confirmation 😊) *If anyone here hasn’t watched that talk, I highly encourage it! I think it’s called “The Hour that will Change Your Life”* (and that it did for me! ;)
I love Fr Mike .... on my list of blessings of COVID-19 is that I would never have watched him. His Good Friday and Easter homilies will have a lasting impact on me ... Thank you Fr. Mike !!
Of all his talks, I think "The Four Last Things" is the one that had the biggest impact on me... and not just because it ended up being published by Lighthouse Catholic Media and I was in the audience that night. I think they had to have 2 overflow rooms that night for Mass, and the gym was still absolutely jam packed for the talk - it was the fullest I've ever seen a Lifeline Mass, and I've heard that they started making people buy tickets for the Lifeline Masses/talks he's done ever since then simply because there are always so many people who want to come. These videos show part of the reason he's so good with college students (okay, he's great with all ages, but he's on a university campus) - while humor usually always helps, it's especially key with young adults.
I love for the night he helped me so many times I can not number. He got me to come back to the church. I left the church. I was gone about 8 to 9 years, and I went to another church. Huge. mistake.. I didn't know the cafe church was the one that put the Bible together. I went to an Independent Baptist church. That passed her said. The cafe church adds 7 books to the Bible. The Catholic Chur. Church Church. Is the One. That wrote that wrote. That Bible We do not add to it. Martin luther is the one who took out the seven books. That pastor also said We worship Mary that's not even true. we honor Mary.. He said so many terrible things about our church. I enjoy I enjoy.Going to. Mass Every sunday I didn't have many confessions. We're taking Of the Holy Communion. I have learned. I have learned so much from father mike get me to come.. That's what confession That's? What confession is? God what' Us to come back . Doesn't matter how big the mistake we make God is therefore?
2:00 "Cousin It". Nope. That's "Thing". "Cousin It" is the midget with the hair all the way down to its feet, sunglasses and a derby. And my mother said, watching TV would waste my brain away. Ha! I showed her!
I was a Catholic all my family are still Catholics but I've converted over, anyway I have a question I hope it doesn't offend anyone but say pastors of a Christan church can get married why can't a preist get married? I think he mentioned something about that on part 1 of this video then as I was trying to ask that question it changed to this video.
I think they're candelabras. Menorahs are a different shape. Sometimes they use many candles in a stand when the Eucharist is exposed in the monstrance as an extra sign of reverence, I think.
I love Of the Holy. communion. Before I thought it was a symbol but it's not A symbol. It is Jesus Christ body and blood. The price that he paid for was on the cross.. I have no idea Came from That's. It's a symbol. No I shall reverence. Body and blood. I wish I knew that before. My priest Made confession Made confession to.I told him I don'. Holy communion. Was A symbol Log the people don't realize it.. I feel in love with the Holy communion. Knowing It is jesus christ body and blood.
Hi Russell. The Bible also states that if our right eye causes us to sin (which many a right eye does!) we should pluck it out. I realise that this does not answer your perfectly good question, but I think that it's useful from time to time to remind ourselves that we are not required to take every Bible statement literally. Priests can't get married because they love Jesus. Jesus wasnt married and they have a job to do...to spread the word of God.
I look around and I see sheep
Why are there menorahs on the altar?
I think they're candelabras. Menorahs are a different shape. Sometimes they use many candles in a stand when the Eucharist is exposed in the monstrance as an extra sign of reverence, I think.
They're not menorahs - they have 7 candles, not 9.

The Bible states don't call anyone father, so why do you call him this ?
