Absolutely love this approach using the 4 levels from easy to advanced. It is SO much easier to grasp and SO much faster to learn. Now subbed!

Hi folks, now here is just a little challenge for all beginners in jazz guitar.
You have to master the four levels of jazz blues comping. Hopefully a lot of you guys can play all the chords,
or maybe you learn some new ones. As always the tabs & chord diagrams are available on my website.
If you want to support my work on RUclips, please buy the tabs. Thanks for that.
Now, let's get started practicing. All the best from Germany!
Thanks Achim, I love them all but I find the 4th one a bit difficult right now. I will get it in time with practice.
Cheers
It takes some time for level 4. That's the professional level, the way I like to do the blues comping, all the best for your playing

I like it! anyway, I found a mistake in the score. In the PDF score, the 9th measure of the level 4 were written incorrectly which is F7/13 chord. plz could you make the corrections so I can download the correct new sheet music? thanks!
Okay, thanks, I've fixed the mistake, but if you are looking on the neck diagrams, you find also the correct chord. All the best
@@AchimKohl-JazzGuitar Thanks, I got a new download!👍
Nice lesson, Achim. Why there is not a 5th level? Did you run out of colors? ;-)
😎😊
Great lesson ,do you play Eastman guitar?many thanks
No, it's an American guitar brand, the model is: Collings Eastside Jazz LC, best regards Achim
@@AchimKohl-JazzGuitar you deserve this great guitar. I began watchind your videolessons when you played a Gibson custom es (137?). Could you give me an opinion on the Duesenberg Double cat? Thanks.
The Duesenberg Double Cat is a very special guitar, I've changed the pickups to get a more jazzy tone, it's not really a jazz guitar, but I love the design. It's perfect for chords and funky, bluesy solos.
i always grab dom7 chords with a barre....hence i have to pluck the strings finger style in order to not hit the 4th... but i much prefer the strummed sound to fingerpicked one... it feels so unnatural to grab dom7 chords in a conventional manner.... should i just learn to add the fifth to the barre form or should i apply myself and learn the conventional way of playing it ?
Try to play the chords as shown in the video (typical fingerings for jazz guitarists). If you play with the pick, try to mute the open strings with the finger of your left hand.
Eb7/9 your middle finger is on the 6th fret and not on the fifth as it shows on screen, thanks for the lesson
sorry I got a little angry, everything is fine
Good to know, all the best from Germany, Achim
