Fantastic lesson! Your production and graphics are great! I use Sibelius. What do you use for your notation software and how do you get those real time annotations? Looks amazing very effective the way you use it! Thanks so much for posting.

Thank you for your feedback! I use Finale. Those annotations are post video production. Thank you for watching.

Can we play rootless voicings in Bossa Nova? It means without bass strings. I don't know how to do between chord changes without the root on the bass strings. But I also like the convenience of rootless chords.

For the Freddie Green comping it's straightforward, but at 5:52 can anyone explain why the decision to do that voicing? It's not an E b9 is it (well besides the b9)? Could I think of it as a Bbm13 or Gm7b5? A bit loss here sorry!

I dont get why would some one make a viedeo about comping patter and note have backing rythem or click or bass line or anything. Some of them sound off to be honest

Nice video overall. Just need to point out that you're not quite playing what's written for the Basic Bossa Nova pattern (unless you count the thumb strike as one of the written hits). It's that you're not playing the chord on the 'and' of 2 in the 2nd bar of each 2 bar pattern.
Fortunately, the way you played it may be more common than the way you wrote it, so maybe you could just edit the video so those sections can line up with what you're playing. For people who are trying to learn to read rhythms, this could be a bit of a stumble for them.
Hope you take this in the helpful spirit it's intended. :-)
