Why don't the reforged thunder lizard/salamander spines glow when they attack? I actually liked that. It helped make it easier to identify when they were going to attack a unit.
They'd would most certainly add that effect in the final version considering that this is still in beta form.

These look pretty fantastic! My only criticism is that I feel like the bear's colour markings ought to be more subtle. Right now half their backs are painted and it's a bit glaring, maybe just armbands like the wolves?

I love the new models for the most part (and ofc many are unfinished). But I have to say that the old models for a lot of these things look great even to this day. (Like the SK model for instance). It just shows how much enjoyment and passion the artists at Blizzard put into their work. The old models still have a lot of character in their animations. Still, excited for Reforged.

I do think some of the attack animations on the older models are more enthusiastic but maybe they arent fully done yet, especially the scorpions.

I played WC3 before WoW and I’ve only just noticed how the old boar models are almost exactly the same in WoW
At 0:27 you will see two Red and Black checkered spiders in their natural habitat doing the isolated abdomen twerk. This is done to assert dominance over the other spider.
They put a lot of love into these models. For me, when it comes to the Beasts, the Spitting Spider is by far the creepeist/Best one. Those eyes stare into your soul. Yeargh.
Here's hoping the gameplay is as good as the new models are.

WOW Very realistic. I wonder why they haven't created the "dogs" models yet. Although I could say the same about the icon of the 2 Doomguard models.
I liked the salamanders in their design, as for the lizards of thunder, when they attacked, I, at least did not distinguish between the tail and the head. XDDD

Knowing Blizzard, they probably added melee attack animations to some ranged units, kind of like how in Starcraft 2 if you go melee with a hydralisk it uses its scythe claws instead of shooting a dart

Not a fan of the red mohawk polar bears. Thunderbirds could use a bit of color though. Rest looks great.
I think the colorful patch of fur is there to make it clear which player/AI the unit belongs.

I wish they would improve terrain textures. They don't look better just different.
Most of them seem based on the wow current models, while most of the original wc3 models are vanilla wow style. Amazing job, they're easily recognizable to any wow player
A lot of the beasts need their team color to "pop" out more on their skins. In other words, the colors that represent which team they belong to is very dull on a lot of them.
For a great example of a beast that has very distinct, very obvious team color imprinted into its skin, look at the Thunder Lizard at 8:30. I can't mistaken that creep to belong to anyone but Player 1 (Red).
A beast with a very hard-to-discern team color would be the Salamander Lord at 9:46. Unless I look hard enough, I'd mistaken it for a hostile creep, not something with a red team color.
I mean, you could just hover your mouse over the unit and immediately see which team it belonged to or not, but I guess that's too much of an effort.
Give the Elder Hydra a pair of wings they become King Ghidorah
So if current WC3 will be compatible with reforged then any updates they do on one will need to be done on both. If a campaign or even a singular new unit is made with a new model, one needs to be made on the older engine.
So knowing this, what is the chance we will get a naga campaign?
The bad thing I see is the new models have few transparency effects (or almost nothing) and very few light effects

I always want to control these beasts in the campaigns because they look cool, so I go above and beyond to find a way, and then they get killed instantly in a battle 😅
Hopefully the Sylvannas scenario where you can posses a creep leader and then everyone else follows will add the murlocs and gnolls

wow, I have to see I prefer the old models way more than the new ones. They are not bad, but I just don’t believe the new models justify the technological improvements in 20 years.
They are using the same engine so old maps and cross play works. Only so much they can do.
