Thanks for all the great questions guys! I really enjoyed this one :) hope it offers some good insight and behind the scenes for you. Take care and catch ya soon!
It's incredible to me, that the difficulty you described in getting those shots (particularly where you were riding away and going back to pick up the camera) were every bit as difficult as I imagined them. It's impressive you went back later to get the pick-up drone shots. They definitely add to the film series and show off the island. Adds a lot of layers to the story. Can't wait to see what you do next, Josh.
@@mikedigirolamo8541 haha committed to the cause...or just crazy?? It was a lot of effort 😂 but yeah it does make a difference to the quality of the production and that's something I'm really focusing on at the moment - trying to make the best stuff I can, have a solid portfolio and then see where we go from there! Thanks for the support and the great questions 🙏🏼

Thank you so much for your words around helping create a world where females can travel solo as safely as males, we’re all humans after all. Having said that a male family member said they feel bad when walking past solo females in rural places because the female may feel scared and as a result they avoid their favourite walk. So, I think overall it’s really important to acknowledge that most people no matter the gender are good people.
Yeah I think ultimately if you're a dude you have a responsibility to ensure women and girls feel safe around you and if you can help facilitate their safety while travelling, you absolutely should. I'm very lucky and privileged!
Really enjoyed the series. You're an accomplished cycle tourer now. If u don't mind, I'd just like to reinforce a couple of important things you spoke of for anyone interested in doing their own tour 1. Knowing flat distance & hill distance capabilities 2. Knowing hydration & electrolyte replacement, especially in tropical/hot environments 3. Less is best 4. Knowing basic bicycle mechanics is very important & easy to learn via RUclips tutorials 5. All tourers in new environments have safety concerns. Find accom/camp before dark, try to keep ur bike in ur room. Be nice/smile Thanks for the series I hope it inspires someone to take on their own tour 🙂
Thanks for watching Brad! Appreciate the kind words 🙏🏼 and these points are spot on - great advice for anyone looking to do their own tour for the first time. It was a great learning curve for me haha

Just checked the cost of Insta 360 SE. From Amazon. $389.00!! I thought it would cost thousands. I think I will start cycling around my gorgeous state, Oregon, USA. Just kidding. I used to love cycling but now I am 77+ so most of my travel is via RUclips. So glad I found you. Thanks.
Thanks for the kind words :) I've heard Oregon is rather beautiful. Glad that you've been able to indulge in some travel while following along with my adventures! And yes the Insta360 is a great deal considering what it's capable of

Hi Denis, what a lovely comment. Thanks for taking the time to watch and write that! I think it's fantastic that at 80 years you're still cycling - that gives me something to look forward to in the future :) I know it comes fast. Thank you for the support, and the very best of luck with your adventures! I think no matter your skill level with filmmaking, it's always good to record little snippets as well as take photos - just for your personal memories if nothing else.
Hi Josh. We are loving your videos and seriously considering retiring to Lombok but I don't suppose you know if proof of the covid vaccinations are required as a lot of countries seem to have relaxed this policy now. Many thanks (John & Sian UK)
@@JoshEdwardsFilms Thanks Josh. We have decided to pay a bit more off our mortgage and are hoping the restrictions will be lifted soon as looking at the global map there isn't anywhere else other than Indonesia/Philippines that we are interested in. Our aim is for summer 2025, plus I will be a tad closer also to state pension age 👍
For sure! I wouldn't say Malaysia is high on the list, but it'd be cool to do it that way. I've been to KL and really enjoyed, so I'd like to see Penang next..

Hi Josh,I completed my journey around Lombok(made Desert Pt)then went by Ferry to Surabaya, from there cycled to Malang and continued to Bunyuwangi, onto and around Bali, approximately 1500km.I relied on my phone for directions, that was mostly ok ,except when going through Cities, had to stop regularly to make sure I was on the correct road, did you use a cycling computer?
Amazing effort Peter, congrats! Hope you enjoyed your adventure. I also used my phone - just had the Komoot app open to reference and check when I needed. Of course in Lombok it's a little bit different because there aren't so many big cities to navigate
