I love how personal your videos are.... You air all the thoughts that every single person has but usually isn't brave enough to say in a video. Even more brave to reveal the "mankini".... I look forward to seeing more of Lombok in your next video despite the pain. Reminds me of your climbing videos on mount Rinjani.....the hardest things with the most responsibility required are usually the most rewarding.
Well thank you very much David - lovely feedback! I Appreciate you taking the time to watch. I do try to keep things raw and real - that's important for me in my filmmaking. You have to laugh at yourself. Especially when wearing something ridiculous as I was haha! And yes you're spot on. As you'll see later on in this series, there is a lot of pain and hard work involved but it is completely worth it. I found this trip one of the best and most rewarding I've done thus far.
The cinematography, storry telling, music and drone shots are really amazing (as expected ;)! I'm really waiting for next video ;) The word is: EPIC, grade: A+++
Thank you so much man - I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and for such kind words 😁🙏 I put a lot into this to try and make it as good as possible! Glad that you've enjoyed it. I'll share the next episode next week
I think Its all about how you please your audience more. You Rinjani was a smash hit; what people want is endless things: - special series - your activities in a condensed vlog (people hate it when its a 1 or 2 things they do nowadays since its time consuming just to see someone do a certain thing - people will remember you when you offer something unique (could be your character when you encourage your wife climbing the mountain (yes people love to see challenges, leadership example, humble person…etc) - love to see stats, visuals and charts in your trips - interactions with others and meeting some locals and asking questions. - meaningful messages (which you’re doing brilliantly) - group challenges - series of this vs that or place, or cities - your recommendation for eatery, restaurants cafes etc (you are in Lombok and all other vlogers are in Bali. …. Just my opinion
I agree with this! Thanks for the comment 😁 alongside these types of series I make (which take a long time), I'm hopefully going to do some shorter, more laid back vlogs where I explore more of Lombok - including our favourite places to stay and eat
Awesome video and I idea, I cycled from Bristol to Rome in 10 days a few years back now, one of the best things I've done. The freedom and adventure is amazing. Thanks for sharing your experience and videos 👍👍
Mate that sounds brilliant! I'm amazed you got that done in 10 days...fair play. I really love the freedom and fresh viewpoint this trip gave me. The possibilities are pretty much endless haha. Thanks for taking the time to watch - glad you enjoyed it! Will upload part two this coming Friday 😁

There's a really horrendous climb in part two next week...the people constructing Lombok's roads chose some crazy gradients 😂 thanks for taking the time to watch mate, very glad you enjoyed it!

Doing something so physically challenging and still managing to focus on capturing it all with multiple cameras is no easy feat, but you managed it mate. I bet the edit wasn’t a quick one either… Brought back some amazing memories of Sengigi and Senaru for me. Can’t wait for the next one mate
Thank you for the kind words mate, means a lot 😁 very glad to hear you enjoyed it! You're spot on haha, you know more than most how tricky it can be to film everything while on the go. It was quite tough, but yeah I think it's worth it. I really wanted to show off how beautiful the island is with this series. Looking forward to sharing the rest of the episodes!
