The chemistry he has in the series (especially with Luffy and Nami) proves it. We cannot know how they interact outside the set. In my opinion, he is simply shy in front of the cameras. They are of different ethnicities and cultures, Asians are more calm and introverted, and less friendly. We will never see Asians scream or otherwise have all this energy, especially Mackenyu who is married and having a child. But that doesn't mean Mackenyu doesn't enjoy being with the other cast members

I’m actually happy that they get along. I was always a bit worried when all of the cast posted pics and vids together on insta, visited each other and invited each other and all of that stuff and mackenyu was never with them. Probably because he’s busier than them but still I was worried but I think they do get along well from the little videos I’ve seen. And I mean regarding inaki he is that hyper. I think he does hype it up a bit but he is definitely some hyper active person, wouldn’t question if he had ADHD and I mean luffy can only be played by someone who has it 😂😂
I believe the reason why mackenyu wasn't posting pictures on Instagram with the cast, was because his talent agency prohibited him from posting. It might have to do with his image. Because he is an actor and protecting his image as a Japanese actor is extremely important. If you don't know this by now, the Japanese are very disciplined and strict. I know it seems kind of harsh but we have to respect that.
1:20 is a perfect freeze frame before something stupid happens, one face says I know EXACTLY what I’m about to do, another says I KNOW what he’s about to do and the last one is a subtle “Oh no” coming to life.
I just got into one piece because of my partner. But man did she open doors i never though would open. Seeing this crew of people who were just picked for each character so perfectly. Theyve got chemistry you dont see too often in a crew. Especially for live action adaptations. You can tell they actually enjoy spending timr with each other outside of their work, off camera. Its crazy how close these people are, just like the Straw Hats they play. Luffy brings up the mood in any room with his goofy smile and wholesome spirit, just like Iñaki. Zoros a no nonsense man whi will occasionally crack a joke or two, like Mackenu, Namis a headstrong girl who takes charge when necessary much like Emily. And even Jacob has the same mildly chaotic middle/younger sibling energy that Usopp brings to the crew. And Taz can ACTUALLY cook so thats already a huge point to him with playing Sanji. Oda Sensei quite literally couldn't have picked anyone better than these goofy, lovable people. Edit: Sorry for the whole damn paragraph lmao
