So if Zoro's audition call was also hiding the real show, then must mean all roles were hidden. I wonder why they chose to do that though. I'm glad Mackenyu got zoro he's so skilled with the sword

The guy said 「多分立候補はいたと思うのよ」, which would mean "I think there probably were [a lot of other] candidates [too]". (The brackets including the implied things). And next she said 錚々たる, referring to "the best" (the candidates). Not that "He is very impressive"... Doesn't even make sense to say something like that here lol.

Well if you expect a casting totally out of touch with reality, something not human, then stick to the anime for real. For years, we begged for good acting and authenticity, and not cringy make-believe cosplayed characters, in LA adaptations. Hence why we say that One Piece finally broke the curse.
