Yeah. I feel him. I speak English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, and a tad bit of Japanese and Hokkien. I struggled to converse, especially in a multiracial and multilingual setting where you would have to speak a few languages at once on the spot.

This is so relatable. My brain translates from Tagalog to English to Nihongo and vice versa. And sometimes I even forget what the word is in all languages I know. Help. 😩 I'm not alone, am I?

Only people who speak more than one language can understand. Your vocabulary, expressions, and idioms are twice, thrice or many times larger than someone who only speaks one language so you are bound to forget words or phrases sometimes. 😂

This is basically the struggle of those who speak more than one language 😂 and it will get worse when you are living in countries with multiple languages exposure (like malaysia, we can include more than 3 languages in one sentence at once 😂😂)

Yeah I can see his struggling when he promoted Saint Seiya in Japan because he answered in Japanese but he then the translators also translated his answers in English, so its confused him to hear 2 languages he understood at the same time

But, the thing is, i'm a socially awkward person and this struggle makes me even more awkward 😂😂 So basically, if you befriend with bilingual don't expect too much when talking with them, if you don't understand what they said, you just need to try harder🗿

I'm trilingual, and there are times when I'm thinking in my second language, and suddenly someone asks me something in my first language, it'd take a second for me to reply in that first language because I kind of have to "switch" mentally 😂

This is so relatable 🥲 This is my daily struggle between Spanish and English.

My native languages are german and french, but I also speak english, japanese and a bit of chinese I've forgotten many many words in let's say german and was able to say it in french, english and even japanese... (That happens quite a lot hahaha)

daily struggle for bilinguals or polyglots😂 my last italian literature exam (it was oral since its in italy) i kept forgetting some words in italian cause they cameup in mandarin and english … thankfully the teacher was nice enough to let me pause and think😅
