Kishi really dropped the ball on hidan and kakazu with where they at story wise. They beat a two tails. A bunch of monks that aren't push overs and actually got a body in asuma.
But second part they pretty much got folded immediately with how Naruto tested out a brand new move. Feels like his feats were linked to orochimaru versions of first and second hokage rather than where the story was going with huge powerful foes

Honest, if Kakashi didn't take out the earth heart right at the start of the fight, this could've turned out completely different.
They needed Naruto to look more powerful than what he actually was, hence why Kakuzu was sacrificed. It’s kinda like how X character effortlessly defeats anbu to showcase how strong they’ve become. It’s complete bs
I think from a narrative sense, Kakuzu mentioning that he fought the first hokage was meant to convey his age as opposed to being used as a feat for power scaling.

I think your audio cut out a bit a few times, might want to check if you have noise cancellation on
It would have been cool to hear you go more in depth on how their justu and abilities might clash. For example, the dog summon is "infinitely regenerating" and the Chameleon is undetectable without sensory, how would Kakuzu handle that? Kakuzu's diamond morph punch ripped through the fire temple door, could that one shot a Path? Etc
One little nitpick, its more correct to say Kakashi cancelled out two false darkness than the other way around IMO. Kakashi's individual raikiri could be way stronger than FD. I think he needed to use two because FD had split/forked and Kakashi was trying to protect his students.
I think it'd be cool to see individual paths of Pain vs other Akatsuki members; maybe even 2v2s.

There is one detail people always overlook and thats the fact that when Yamato arrives to the battle field with Naruto, he uses Wood style and Kakuzu isnt surprised, even tho he should be at least a bit surprised, which could indicate that in his battle with Hashi, Hashi never used wood style and Kakuzu didnt even know what it was because he got his ass beat by taijutsu alone.

There really is no debate.
Kakuzu is like the wish version of Pain... He's very similar in the sense that he has multiple hearts/paths and each one has a single ability and you have to kill all his hearts plus the main one... Kakazu is basically just a lower level version of Pain, he was the perfect test for Naruto to realize he still needed to get stronger

If you look at the databook information they actually explain how the fight between Hashirama and Kakuzu went down. Hashirama used one wood style Jutsu and Kakuzu almost died and ran away for his life. It wasn’t a battle Hashirama destroyed him with one Jutsu.

Hey lightning Can you make a video on the true power of dms kakashi like you know many people still downplay him And also many people fail to acknoledge the fact that he blitzed a version of kaguya who was exponentially faster and stronger than naruto and sasuke as stated by black zetsu also the word exponentialy means he is above and beyond naruto shippuden characters except kaguya since when you think about it exponents are way higher than multiples especially as the number gets bigger and bigger so if you say that kaguya normal form is equal or faster than naruto and sasuke than she was said to be exponentially fatser which means she was millons of times faster than them both but kakashi blitzed her so he blitzes any naruto shippuden character and coming to boruto we should scale kakashi on the place where we scale kaguya so kakashi can definitely scale to bs naruto and current boruto

Kakazu is overatted by some people, He survived a fight with the first hokage but that didn't mean he could actually beat him, he only got lucky,he gave Shikamaru's team a bit of trouble but Kakashi and Naruto had outclassed him.

I thank you for bringing your that Tobirama point. I say that in the comments all the time. It’s implied that even hiruzen in his prime would’ve died had he gone back to be the decoy because they were all exhausted and out of chakra.
Pain would win easily. Pain was fighting off a prep time sage mode Naruto and still wrecked him after destorying the village and kakashi while kakazu got clapped by an incomplete rasenshurakin and a few clones.
Hidan has such a strange power scaling with how rushed his fight was at the end but he is a top tier just not pain level.
Plus in a longer fight pain can just keep reviving his paths while kakazu literally doesn't have any hearts to use in the area since all the paths aren't alive. Animal and deva could probably clap kakazu themselves with preta grabbing any strays

Hidan is one of the weakest if not the weakest member... Hidan himself is average Jonin level at best, his immortality and ritual just make him tricky to deal with...

@@reptilian_geneticistyeah thanks for telling me he's strong. Most people wouldn't know he's immortal and if he gets a lick off he wins while you'd definitely go for the heart as it's an easier target and if you miss you get his body. Most won't go for the head until it's too late

The animal path alone washes Kakuzu he doesn't have anything in his arsenal that can take on the dog summon, let alone all the other paths together.
As soon as the animal path is destroyed, the dog also disappears. I think it takes a little bit more, but animal path plus ashura path should seal the deal. Since kakuzu is relative to kakashi in this arc, and since i don‘t see this kakashi losing against the animal path, kakuzu won‘t too.
@@fabianhrastinger2263 the Animal Path alone was enough to contend with Jiraiya who scales above the Kakashi who was going toe to toe with Kakuzu.
Besides there are other sumonings who can protect the Animal Path like the chameleon and the bird.
Kakuzu would need all of his power just for the dog he would not be able to even get close to the Animal Path.
I think the chameleon and the multi headed dog would give him the most trouble but Kakuzu’s lightning release should be sufficient enough to wash the rest of the summons. That or his fire release which, because of its large scale can wipe out multiple summons. Not to mention that it can be amplified by wind release also.

Great vid! Like the channel. Something I’ve thought about is how Kakazu could possibly be more powerful than anyone might think. Theoretically.
Might Gai and the byukgan let us know about the heart chakra and the role it plays for ninja. When we see Kakazu lose in the Asuma revenge arc and again later in the early parts of the war arc, I believe the hearts he has were those of low level shinboi. Even if they were “top level”shonobi, the original owners of the hearts stolen by Kakazu are nameless shinobi. If he stole hearts of named shinobi with greater power and ability - shinobi with higher feats and strength and whatnot, I wonder if he would have to a higher chakra pool and access to more abilities.
Makes me think of the 6 paths of pain vs the 6 Jinjurki paths used by Obito. Obito uses better corpses that had access to other powers rather than just the base 6 path abilities that pain used. The corpses selected made a difference there, if Kakazu had “better” hearts perhaps his power level adjusts accordingly.

Kakuzu dies within seconds
Could the strength of his opponents that Kakuzu took the hearts from be a factor in how strong Kakuzu is. Like if he fought the first Hokage and the hearts he used were stronger would it make more sense that he was able to fight him but in the end the first Hokage ends up destroying those hearts thus reducing Kakuzu's power level to what we see in the show?

Kakuzu in my opinion is a character that’s gets overrated by some people (noodles) while underrated by most, if you look at his feats their are some really impressive ones that support him being able to fight pain (not saying he would win) also not sure if you brought it up in your video or I missed it but Kakuzu’s hearts can fly so even if Kakuzu is out numbered her can fly up and start raining down lightning style or one of his other ones, the big problem for pain his kakuzu’s skin hardening justu (don’t remember what it’s called) because you need lightning style to piece it but pain dose have the ability to rip out Kakuzu soul but would he have to do that five time because of Kakuzu’s five hearts or not? And one last thing to note it that Kakuzu lightning style false darkness Forced Kakashi to use 2 lightning blades (look at the manga because the anime doesn’t show it properly) this is the same lightning blade that destroyed one of the paths of pain so pain would have to watch out for that. (I know I said some of the same stuff in this video but this was probably one of the best videos that discussed pain vs Kakuzu and was actually fair to kakuzu and actually pointed out how much of a monster he wast in the beginning of Naruto shippuden)

Only akatsuki members kakuzu can beat 1v1 from my analysis and knowledge of Naruto imo is zetsu & black zetsu,hidan,low diff (deidara,& sasori would both be extreme high diff)he loses to everybody else from the akatsuki orochimaru beats kakuzu also but it would be high diff kakuzu beats 5 members and loses to the rest of
2:23 Databook states Kakuzu was defeated by Hashirama's wood hijutsu wich is a secret mokuton jutsu, it's the deep forest emergence. It's the only jutsu from Hashirama where hijutsu is used. So yes they fought and he survived the attack aswell but that doesn't mean Hashirama only used that. It's not in his character to throw such a scale jutsu at first glance.

Kakuzu's hearts are mainly used to fatigue the ennemy wich is by dodging attack ( distraction ) or killing them bcs they need to be shut down in order to defeat him. Kakuzu effortlessly defeated Kakashi in 2 pages in the manga while Pain needed multiple chapters.
4:16 The number argument is bad since it's stated in 4th databook that Kakuzu's forte is to fight against multiple type of opponents and the pain never uses the 5 chakra nature.

Constructive Criticism :
Firstly I don't care if he beats Pain or not, I'm mainly here for the arguments missing for Kakuzu in this video.
1 ) The databooks wich explain and demonstrate each of the jutsus.
a ) False Darkness : Lightning spears really hard to dodge that can go through rocks and he can summon a lightning spear as much as he wants. So yes, Kakuzu could have done 5 attacks and Kakashi + choji + shikamaru were already dead just from the beginning.
b ) Pressure Damage : It's a condensed tornado wich destroy all the surrounding and gouge the earth. Stated that his destructive power is on par with a natural disaster.
c ) Searing migraine : Burn everything in the ground hard to dodge due to his wide range.
d) Combined fire/wind : The flame have explosive combustive force and turn the surrounding in a wasteland.
e ) Diamond armor : The jutsu is invoked at the moment of the attack, increase defense to his maximum aswell as power. But when fully on his body he cannot move, only lightning technique around this level can neg the jutsu and nearly no other jutsu. With this, he could break the monk temple gate wich had a B-rank sealing jutsu on it.
Akatsuki novel :
2 ) Could disrupt a sensitive genjutsu made by alot of people.
3 ) Survived a village + torrent falling on him without losing any hearts.
4 ) His False darkness was displayed to empale multiple person with 1 spear.
Transformations :
I don't know why in all video were Kakuzu is included, they never judge his 2 transformations, only judging his base form. Anyway :
5 ) In his v2 state ( mid-range ) it's stated it's been a while he didn't go to that state ( 2 hearts down )
6 ) He gets faster, stated by choji he was the fastest in the field even when reinforcements was there and nobody said it was wrong.
7 ) He can do underground attacks and cover more area with his masks.
8 ) Kakashi needed a raikiri in order to destroy Kakuzu's tentacles wich showcase they are very resistant.
9 ) Can do elemental combination.
10 ) V3 states, long range : Can jump really high, plane, arguably fly
11 ) Stated in the databook that he can change the length and the form of his tentacles at will.
12 ) He have no blindspot and can control many different situations.
13 ) Yamato wich is a non sensory-type ninja could tell Kakuzu gained an huge amount of chakra. So when entering that state, if he starts being tired, he go back to square 1 and have a huge amount of chakra back. Yamato was shocked by the amount of chakra btw.
Trivia :
- Kakuzu defeated Kakashi in 2 pages in the manga
- Even laying on the ground he could react to a raikiri dash and strike back
- Blitzed kakashi at numerous occasions ( manga )
- Could use anime scaling aswell but I won't since it isn't source material.

Nagato used Tendo to fight Kakuzu meaning he thought neither the Asura, Preta, Animal, Naraka, and Human path weren't individually strong enough to fight Kakuzu.
I kinda disagree on the notion that he needed tendo to deal with kakazu when he recruited him.
I think using tendo just made more sense from the standpoint that he is the figurehead of the akatsuki and known as the leader.
It's the same way orochimaru was recruited.
We honestly don't even know if the other members of the akatsuki know about the other paths.

@@senjuuzima891Sasori did most of the fighting against Orochimaru, all Pain did was oneshot him with a Shinra Tensei after Orochimaru tried to take his non-existent Rinnegan.
The scene of Pain vs Kakazu for the Alatsuki recruitment was not in the anime or manga, it was only in a game, it's not shown how Kakazu was recruited but if Nagato did fight Kakazu to recruit him in Canon then he could of used any other Path body besides Tendo but we don't really know, I don't think he'd use Human path because he wouldn't have wanted to kill Kakazu with the soul stealing jutsu.
@@justinarzola4584 Noted. I still don't see pain for one needing to use any other paths of pain for kakazu, nor having a reason to use another path of pain because tendo is seen as the leader.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we ever see any other path besides tendo interacting with the other akatsuki members at all(besides konan).
Kakuzu is extremely underrated for someone who survived hashirama and loves money like some of us
