I heard him the first time on France Bleu on the internet - Formidable and then next day I found this website called French Radio London and there was a podcast with Stromae and I thought that was the guy who sang formidable and sounded familiar and that is how I discovered him. It must've been refreshing for him to not be recognized in public. He would not enjoy anonymity like this in Europe. Am really impressed that MSG was packed and many arenas around the US were also packed even if majority had no idea who he was. He's a marketing genius as well.
