Hi I bought the microphone in this video , I plug headphones in the audio technica 2100x after plugging usb c in my iPhone 15 pro, I only can hear myself for a split second then I can’t monitor myself as it doesn’t produce my voice in my headphones for some readon
Finally found instructions for an easy way to do a podcast with my iPhone. Thank you.
Glad we could help!
THISSS IS WHAT WE NEEDED
This is super clear! I’m so glad I found this video.
Glad you found us too!
Great video!
Thank you!
Best video ever and simpel to understand thanks for the information 👌
We're glad it was helpful!
This is awesome. 👏
Glad you think so!
Huge thanks for the Info, man! Since I've bought the iPhone 15 Pro a couple of weeks ago and I also wanted to start this year with Content Creating, I thought of using my iPhone as a starter Set mainly because of the camera quality but also I want it to have a bigger purpose than just taking consuming content and taking photos/making videos.
Greetings from Germany!!
Hello to Germany! And the iPhone can go a long way, good luck creating!
Awesome video. Where do you plug in the wired headphones?
Directly in to the mic! Most USB mics have a headphone jack for that.
Thanks for the info!! What about incorporating multiple old iPhones for multi cam? Can I just connect the phones to wifi and use the invite link feature?
Your'e welcome! You can do that, just be sure to mute the secondary devices otherwise you'll hear feedback. You can also use our Secondary Camera feature. I explain here: ruclips.net/video/1hRbYg_iXnk/видео.htmlsi=ygu9zJqQjOF13RCJ
Stephen this is an awesome video !!! I just wanted to know if I could do the advanced IPhone set up but with a Galaxy s23 Ultra & a Galaxy Tab s9 ??
Thanks! And I don't have one of those phones to test, but when I've tried using a Pixel 6a, not all those devices would work. Some USB mics wouldn't even work when connected directly, so can't say for sure.
@Riversidefm Okay thanks anyway !!!
Question!! Is it possible to connect two microphones to an iphone? My friend and I want to start a podcast and we have two microphones with USB-C ports. If we bought an adapter that can connect the two microphones to the iphone, would that work? Thank you!!! Love your videos.
Thanks! And you can use some interfaces with an iPhone, like the Focusrite Vocaster Two, and connect two XLR microphones to the iPhone. If you record with Riverside, it will combine those two mics into one channel, just be aware. I show how to do that here: ruclips.net/video/V0hKn9qHP-E/видео.htmlsi=Qs1XwKDsympd9tI8
How can I use that mirror set up for the iPhone 13 max thanks for all your help
Hey! Unfortunately, the USB-C hub method only works with iPhone 15 and newer. Even with a lightning to USB adapter, older iPhones don't support hubs and setups like this.
Hi! Just a few questions-
1. You can record AND edit audio and video podcasts with Riverside,is that right? (So that would say, eliminate the use of a software like Descript?)
2. From what I can gather from watching some of your videos, you can record video podcasts in Riverside with an iPad or iPhone BUT you still need to edit on a desktop or laptop is that correct ?
If true, When will Riverside have the ability to Edit episodes on an iPhone or iPad app?
3. I have an iPhone 13. I can follow these steps but is it possible to just use a lightening cable to connect my usb mic to my phone?
Thanks these videos are super helpful 👍🏻
Glad they're helpful! 1. Yes you can record AND edit with Riverside, and we have a transciption-based editing (deleting words or sentences to edit the content) too. 2. You are correct that editing needs to be done in the browser of a laptop or desktop computer. Working on it! 3. You'll still need the Lightning to USB camera adapter and then connect to a USB mic with an iPhone 13. A straight Lightning to USB cable won't let the phone recognize the mic.
Hey so I have the two mics and my iPad for recording. How can I use both mics with my one IPad? What cords would I need?
Unfortunately you would need an audio interface with two inputs for a setup like that. Here's a video on multiple, in-person recordings with Riverside: ruclips.net/video/SK1sygqMkR8/видео.htmlsi=QZW2WdTnlWH3a38Z
Question 🙋 How many people can you invite? Also, will it block incoming calls while in use to stop interruptions?
8 people total can record in a Riverside studio, and the Riverside app doesn't automatically block calls, so we suggest turning on Do Not Disturb mode to prevent that from happening!
That adaptor - can I plug in two mics so I can record two audio (two mics) onto one video (one iPhone)?
You can use something like a Rode Wireless GO receiver to combine two mics, or an audio interface with the iPhone.
I have a USB-B microphone (Blue Yeti) going into the Anker USB-C hub plugged into power, then that’s connected to my iPhone 15 pro. I can’t get the phone to use the blue yeti on Riverside. Do you know what setting I need to change?
If you download the free app Ferrite with the same setup, do you see the mic appear as the input? If not, it may be that the iPhone doesn't recognize the mic itself.
If I’m correct, couldn’t I just use airplay to mirror my screen while recording? Because I don’t have an iPad. All I have is my iPhone, 15 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro and a galaxy S-10 plus in addition to my MacBook Pro and airplay capable TV that I plan to use as a monitor.
You could certainly do that, but AirPlay screen mirroring does take significant resources on the device an may hinder the live call performance. If you have a MacBook Pro, I would suggest using that to record and having your iPhone act as a webcam using Continuity Camera. More info on that here: ruclips.net/video/Pwr1CGjIYZo/видео.htmlsi=01H_Fr-1Tmeliv_z
Can you do the same thing with an android phone like a pixel 7?
Android phones don't seem to recognize all the USB devices needed to do this kind of setup, unfortunately.
How would you record a phone call with your first setup?
Using the Riverside app! It records both side of the call and then you can download the audio from your dashboard, the other person doesn't have to send you anything directly.
What is the usb hub thing that you use
That's an Anker USB-C hub here: a.co/d/24jrSDM
Could I do this with 2regular usb mics and just buy an adapter?
With a 14 pro max ?
You *can* connect a USB mic via the lightning to USB camera adapter from Apple. But USB hubs won't work with iPhone 14 and earlier
What I need is the ability to record the iPad screen with voice over audio and an overlay for riverside. Streamlabs is not it…but neither is Riverside yet. I don’t show my face all the time, but do share video and audio.
For that, a desktop setup will serve you better and using a video switcher. You can connect the iPad to a video switcher like ATEM Mini Pro via HDMI, plus have your cameras connected, and Riverside will recognize the video switcher as a video input!
I'm aware but was suggesting a Riverside feature where I could go live, stream my gameplay, and just my voice if I wanted and need not do any other set up. There are other apps that do this and set ups of course. Just prefer if it was@@Riversidefm
Anyone tried the USB hub setup with a Google Pixel 8/Pro? Does the USB connection on the Pixel work the same way?
I've tried with a Pixel 6a and it doesn't work, unfortunately.
@@Riversidefm Thanks! I guess I found what i was looking for, and I expect the iPhone 15 to have USB type-C gen 2. Here’s some pointers;
USB 3.2 Gen 1: originally known as USB 3.0, and previously renamed to USB 3.1 Gen 1. It’s the original USB 3.0 specification, and it can transfer data at up to 5Gbps.
USB 3.2 Gen 2: Previously known as USB 3.1, and then later as USB 3.1 Gen 2. It offers speeds at up to 10Gbps.
USB 3.2 Gen 2x2: formally known as USB 3.2, it’s the newest and fastest spec, promising speeds at up to 20Gbps (by using two lanes of 10Gbps at once).
Keep up the good work! Great vids
Hi. I have the iPhone 15 pro max and the atr2100 mic. But when recording in riverside it doesn’t seem to pick up the mic. How do I fix this?
Are you connecting the mic directly to the iPhone or any hub in-between? And when connecting to Riverside, do you see the pop-up with Yes / No options? Make sure the physical switch on the mic is flipped on as well.
@@Riversidefm thanks for replying. It doesn’t come up with the option for yes/no for some reason. Maybe that’s why.
@@Riversidefm hi again, can u also help with another question please. My guests have a slight crackle when they begin a sentence. I thought it could be their AirPods so I ask them to remove them. But there is still a little crackle as they start to speak. Do u know how I can repair this without recording the whole thing again?
@@Riversidefm I just watched some videos about people with ios 16 having issues with external mics. If I upgrade to ios17 will that help?
With an iPhone 10 SX Max I feel like I’m living in the jet age 🤣 no one makes videos for us anymore
At the end I show what adapters you would need for Lightning!
