I appreciate that you didn't go all insults on the Intrepid. You came at it with a clear and balanced perspective beyond the COD mentality of more guns, more armor= better.
@@callsigngrimdoll For sure! I pick the best thing for the task when I'm doing something, but I'd like to believe they'll ensure that every ship has a place!
Now that the intrepid actually has capable weaponry i can actually recommend it as a decent starter ship. Still doesnt excuse the absolutely horrific looks though
I will never understand how the MK II are upgrade "newer" ships from the MK I's and dont have physical components. Meaning they will need to be reworked....again. Also the Intrepid, I call the Small PP ship
I think all these ships are a huge miss. Intrepid is going to come down to price. If it is 80$ or more, then just get a Cutty Black. Medapin, is pretty useless. Lets be real, medical "gameplay" is 90% im going to runs a bunker mission and save in this bed so when the game freaks out and I die, I can respawn here... Couple that with the fact this thing is going to be 220$ or more... and it still doesnt even have a 1scu grid, so when unsecured boxes start destroying your ship you cant even do that. Get a Cutty Red.... Ah, the 3 Hornets available this year to make you spend more money instead of updating the cheaper ones. Dude, the power creep is insane. All ships now are going to OP or useless... Not excited for any of the new ships whatsoever. Over priced, underfeatured and honestly do smell of financial desperation. Couple that with promise of modularity and more ships will become useless.... This mad dash of patching only to make their arcade game worse is not going to pay off. They are teying to attract and keep players after IAE but the gameplay is NMS for adults. People are going to have to come to terms with the fact this is not a space sim at all but a space fantasy game where looking cool is more important than great fundementals... This year is completely unimpressive.
Luv the way CIG keep everything in perspective, no OP nonsense, the Intrepide does the job and under $90 makes it cheap. The Ghost is nice and this time no scripted kiddy gameplay loop. Nice toys brought to us early. Thanks for treating adults like adults, we're not all spoiler babies, the IAE is an event in a phantasy mmo....we have real lives, this is just a nice time filler.
Yeah, once you get to the Cutter at $45, _EVERY_ ship at that price point is better than the Intrepid by every measure. Once you get to the 300i and Avenger Titan range, the ships are all a massive upgrade from the Intrepid. It's a $25 starter ship that barely competes with the other $25 starter ships in any way other than aesthetics. Which are great internally and horrid externally.
As announced today, the Intrepid is getting an S4 weapon instead of an S3.

Most people came at it without insults. The ship was going to come out basically useless without the upgun
Christmas ain’t coming early for the Starlancer MFD’s…
