Oh no Avalon king users going to filing up these comments. They were lead to believe they were getting a big boy coating.
Jup, my coating of armor shield IX was kind of weak after a 2 months too. Was surprised, but in opposite way. 1 layer was holding for 5 months max, not even close to their statements. My guess is 50% of the price goes to marketing (ads, youtubers, website), 40% profit and the rest 10% are production costs. Would never buy that coating again, what a scam.
Agreed
But, but all the hottest RUclips channels say they’ve used it!
oh no yall telling me that pan the organizer is just a sell out? Jk i stopped watching him a few months ago after i realized
@@DetailingTurzovka Did you get your money back from their 2-year warranty then? Curious to hear.
I pulled the trigger on CarPro Cquartz UK 3.0 and Cquartz SiC, I watch all of these updates in fear now. This is worse than watching horse racing with all your money on one horse waiting to see what fence it falls at. But I keep watching it like a car crash. Your hard work is appreciated.
Haha. Good way of saying it! Thank you 👍🏼
It looks weird to me already. I aked Scott but is it already failing?
@@sueromero239 well have a better idea in this next update I'm sure. We've had a LOT of rain this month too. (Over 10" (25cm) so far and still have a week and a half left)
@@ScottHD thank you for the fast reply.
Scott, you should do a video to summarize each winning or losing product. I find that these videos are great but it does not help me with exactly selecting which one is BEST for my budget. I think a video every few months like "Best ceramic coating under $50 after X months of testing", "best spray ceramic coating under X", "best coating with graphene 2021", "Best trim traditional trim restorer" and have gradual updates of those as the year passes. Thank you! I love the content and have notifications ON but i think it would help your views with some of those stand-out titles in combination with your current videos.
Stay tuned! It's coming. Went back through all of my old tests too to gather all of the info into a spreadsheet that I'll be sharing shortly.
@@ScottHD awesome. Keep up the good work.
I'm going to leave a comment to make it more likely that Scott's video is recommended to others. This guy deserves many more subs. Great job! Very informative as always.
Thank you 👍🏼
Subscribed because you are honest and not trying to push any product over another.
Thank you! Not pushing a product..just wanting to find what works without being "swayed" by a company!
Love the spread sheet. Easy to read and understand. This is in my top 5 you tube channels to subscribe to. Thanks for all the testing!
Thank you
Is there a link for the Spreadsheet?
@@1got2getit it's in the description
The amount of time and work you put into these videos is amazing. Glad I subbed!!
Thank you!!
Of all the tests, this is the most personal. I look forward to further results. Then I’ll know which products I can put in the trash rather than waste my energy.
Thank you!
Keep it going, Scott! I watch every single one of these tests and updates. Thanks!
Absolutely! Thank you 👍🏼
Newer subscriber here. Definitely enjoying your videos... Even used your 1 year 9 month test in my selection of John's 360 to apply to my truck. Tons of great info in all your videos!
Thank you! Johns 360 is a good coating - it can be tricky to apply in humid climates. Have to wipe it off quickly.
It's great to see these videos and these tests on these products. My personal experience using some of these have yielded similar results. Hard to get anything over 3 months on any of these spray type sealants. SEAL N Shine, 303 Graphene, Megiuars, etc, all averaging 3-4 months.
Agreed. Anything longer than about 6 months for a few but yes most 60-120 days.
Great video! So glad I didn't buy in to the Avalon King hype. If you ever wanted to make a fun video, it would be great to see what it would look like if you put multiple layers of ceramic coatings. Like 5, 10 and 20. You wouldn't need to do 30 different brands just like 1 or 2. What would happen...would they make the paint look clear and deep? Hazy? Would the thick layer crack? Will it be smooth or wavy or orange peel-y? Would it last 10 years?!?!
Great idea! I will do that!
Thanks for the great work, Scott!
You're welcome 👍🏼
Hi Scotty, Thank you so much for doing all this. Very much appreciated. It is very confusing for a consumer to find the right product and you testing them all out is a great benefit. I wish it also could be done with carwash automatics waxes. As a carwash owner myself I am getting the same BS about their machine products. It feels like they only make it bead until you left the carwash...
Wow......some like the cheaper ones still holding up...like your other videos. Been following for a long time, never disappointed
Thank you 👍🏼
We need to see NV Car Care Lustre/Jet make it on a panel. I'd love to see the durability.
Just discovered your channel. I think this is one of the best no nonsense detailing sites on the Tube. As they say...seeing is believing and your demo's are indisputable. What has your testing shown on Ceramic Pro 9H?
CeramicPro stuff has done very well - Check out my 42 way text that's nearing the 2 year mark. Three CP products in there, including Pro 9H.
Hard work much appreciated.
Fusso keeps impressing!
Agreed
I put fusso wax on the customers cars as a protection before a winter. They stated it works 3months minumum to 4 max. Its a good product.
I use Fusso as my winter wax. Its the only wax that will survive our Wisconsin winters. It fights through snow, ice, rain, cold, salt, brine and car wash soaps. It's tuff stuff.
So interesting these tests are , in some previous comparison videos other products last longer and others not so much. In example the Megs Hybrid ceramic looks so much stronger at the same time on another panel but not the case here. What is even more interesting is the amount of gloss loss at only 60 days even the OP Ceramic Detailer is a lot stronger at this point vs your fist test with it. I’m not sure what to make of it but it would seem only a few products seem to be able to really hold up no mater what type of paint or panel. It would also seem some of these manufacturers need to add when to apply a second coat to achieve longer term results. Either way very interesting. Good. Video.
I agree. Same prep. Same application. Same wash intervals with same chemicals. Only variable is the weather which is why I have been showing the temps/precipitation that it has been subjected to.
@@ScottHD at this point from these tests and how inconsistent the results are amongst all videos and channels I'm not sure it's safe to say what is gonna be a base line for a product because even here with you products can outperform, underachie or just make it's claim. So any given area you may or may not get results no mater what a consumer or pro installer can do. Super crazy.
Appreciate the videos, from Texarkana, TX area!
Hey hey not too far from me!
Thank you! Not too far away 👍🏼
@@ScottHD Texarkana, Arkansas here. That Mid-February snow storm was incredible. We had 20" in two days.
Very low gloss on Fusso, which I use. I think it picks up micro particles over time. If you top coat with something else after a few months the applicator gets dirty after you have just washed the panel.
Unreal on how many of these "12-24month" claimed coatings have failed after 2 months, and this is on a panel that sits - you can imagine how much worst the results would be on daily driver.
I'm surprised the TW Liquid wax failed before the spray. I will go ahead and use the spray version as a topper I guess.
Also surprised
Soft 99 Fusso is not a carnauba wax, it’s actually PTFE based (unless it’s some other version of Fusso you got?) and does not fail from the summer heat, it holds up just fine in Puerto Rico. Pearl Nano’s spray ceramic is absolute garbage. It’s incredibly hydrophobic on application but goes away after a few washes, plus it’s expensive.
Good to know! I was under the impression that it was a carnauba wax... Well that's fantastic news then!
The pearl nano that's been my experience as well
For my car i prefere some wax, I don‘t like to have a hardened ceramic coating on the paint... so I always look for a good wax and it seems the Fusso soft 99 is doing his job. I have some R222 but it doesnt last long. Thanks Scott 👌
As always a great job of your!
Thank you 👍🏼
thank you for all your work
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 👍🏼
Pan the organizer is a big fan of AvalonKing Armor Shield. Either he hasn’t tested it properly or he’s a sell out, no third possibility.
Pan the advertiser has been a sellout for a long time in my opinion. Stick with the bigger coatings for the same price and without the gimmicks

I applied turtle wax ceremic yesterday my wife said today how do I get my car looking like Glass told her it's in the turtle so I'll keep on using the turtle
I layered TW Max Wax then topped it with TW Flex, just completed yesterday. We shall see.
Interesting idea!
I'm really surprised to see how fast poly-seal and jescar powerlock failed!
Awesome video and update.anything u would use on ur cars?
Great videos Scott! Really appreciate the time and effort you put in. I’m considering using the TW Flex spray , mostly because of ease of use. It’s directions say it’s okay to use on all surfaces, including plastic trim. Do you have any experience with it turning the black cladding cloudy or gray over time? Thanks!
Hi Scott,
A few brands are coming out with wash and wax type products with ceramic e.g. Cmx ceramic wash and coat. I think turtle wax may have one in their line up too. Are these junk?
I love these, but you have so many going... have you thought of titling one... the Best of The Best 2021? Boiled down to the top 10 or 20 you’ve found.
Great idea!!
Thanks good job and very good information before I purchase the products.....
Thanks for the test results, Shouldn’t you do wipe down to take off any residue from the panel when drying, just in case of any residue and than rinse ?? Interesting test here, appreciate time and effort
Hey Scott, great testing procedure and info! Thanks!
? Can you change the font color from white to black for the title row in the spreadsheet? It's really eye straining to read the white font on yellow background.
Sure thing!
Really surprised on the TW flex spray vs the wax...I have several coats of the spray and it's doing well but guess I should have got the wax?
Looking like it!
Scott: Can you add Maguires Hybrid Paint Coating to your next test? Love your channel.
Future test suggestion: take the survivors/best products, reapply them to fresh panel, let cure, hit them with Citrol 266 or equiv and then a strong wheel cleaner, measure loss of performance, leave 'em in sun for a month, and see if they regain any of their performance. One coating manufacturer commented they've seen their coating recover from such abuse, though they do not advertise nor guarantee such performance.
Very helpful. Subbed
How about adding Griot’s garage Ceramic 3 in 1 to your tests. Thanks
It's in the ceramic spray Coatings test. It's doing quite well! Check it out 👍🏼
Pretty tough stuff . It's been ulmost a year in the midwest weather , salt ect. I only purchased it because it was on clearance at a store closing for $10 . Kicking myself for not getting more LOL
@@Tony-ps9qk agreed!
Funny how the big "non sponsored" youtubers say avalon King lasts years and is a proper coating. And get a discount by using they're promo code.
pretty sure promo code is not a sponsor thing. I have bought software before and got my own promo code to share with friends ( or anyone)
Good point. Make sure to use code SAVE50 now at checkout! (I'm kidding)
@@CSOCSO your right that it doesn't necessarily mean it's sponsored. the promo code was just to make an example that some sort of deal was made so they will promote there product at there channel.
To my knowledge they have a pretty straight up warranty for 2 years, so I think Scott may have messed something up in the application process, or there's something else going on here. Can't help to laugh a bit that it says Avalon king IX. Seems like you blended two things together. haha
@@MoistShot check the application video. Installed exactly as instructed. That's exactly why I do an application video 👍🏼
Awesome .. have you tested any duracoating technology products?
Great video as always. Question, did you say they are sending you the Kevlar coating and thus saved you $600? If so, doesn't that disqualify that product as you received it for free?
Not at all. I do have some manufacturers that will send me a product to include in these tests at no charge to me... I tell them that I am not going to give them any special treatment, so if it fails it fails. I always disclose if I received it for free.
Thank you, makes sense!
@@ScottHD Only problem with that is them providing you an altered product with say 20% more ceramic or polymer or whatever the active ingredient is than the consumer product sold to the public. Like auto manufacturers providing a hopped up test vehicle to Car and Driver or Motor Trend for review and testing. (Also, do you have an Amazon affiliate link for P&S Beadmaker?)
@@luckydog9809 that's what I think is going on with my 303 Graphene spray too. 303 sent a replacement batch and it did better than the one I bought
Been a TEC580 fanboy for a couple years. $43 per gallon, but I swear I paid less. Hoping for my donkey to place in the horse race.
Lots of folks using that for sure. Can't beat the price.
I love using it with an easy SiO2 maintainer, sometimes their own TEC582 spray. It's inexpensive so it works great for restoring non-car UV damaged stuff like my Yakima rooftop box, Sea-doo, synthetic decorative shutters, mailbox, etc. Nobody's going to "waste" their fancy ceramic coatings for jobs like that. It works great on windows that get spotted with splashes from the window sill even. It's under $20 from some places.
I have some Avalon King I got for the same price as TEC580 with coupon stacking and it looks like I can be glad I didn't overpay.
Experimenting with Griot's 3-in-1 as the maintainer now and so far so good. Can't beat diluted 582 for a value detailer at the very least.
@@6mtzhp55 I agree. It is so cheap especially in volume. I know it is marketed more towards auto dealership detailing, but for the price you definitely can't beat it. When I was getting the SDS for tec580 I did learn they are coming out with a graphene version of it this summer. Heard it from the horses mouth!
Interesting.....there is a video on RUclips that just posted how amazing Avalon King is.. coincidence?
Was it...sponsored by them? :)
Not sure...might be...could not believe the timing!
Is there any reason to use more than a 2"x3" area? Then you could put products on the flattest part of hood, while getting more accurate gloss meter readings
FUSSO ! 🔥
❤️
It is a interesting test. I which that you work a bit better with the camera. It is a bit jumpy in the start but in the end you slowed down and didn’t move the camera so much (was much better to look at).
I really like your test but please slow down and work and row at the time and slower. Keep up the good work! 👍
Would you get a better reading on some of these if you rotate the meter 90° ??
I'm so upset. I wanted the Nano Bond 9H. And now it's rebranded apparently. Also doesn't seem to be quite as quickly hydrophobic as before. Welp, time will tell.
We'll have to see!
Looks like Nano Bond 9h is back in stock on Amazon this morning.
@@brianjurgella6678 u the real mvp. Ordering a bottle now
Have you tested 9H autokcan nano ceramic coating?
Did you ever do a test on the Ethos graphing coating or just the ceramic coating? Why is the video showing Ethos but you state CQuartz?
Jescar powerlock is a sealant not a coating. The ultra lock + is the ceramic. Do you have it labeled incorrect?
Avalon king is awesome. Know how to put a coating on then. It works great if you know who to apply a coating
I've been installing coatings for 10 years now. I definitely know how, but have also applied hundreds of different brands as well.
how come that here Adams Graphene Ceramic Spray failed on second month but in another video it's doing just fine after 6 months?
Great question. Different batch. Different weather. Same application. Same prep.
Hi, did u already test, or will you be testing Carpro EliXir in the future?
Scott, what foam cannon do you recommend/use?
1st from California
Really dissappointed with Adam's spray graphene. I coated my car in order to see how it goes and offer it to clients instead of Cquartz Lite. Well, I guess that's a no.
Keep CQuartz lite! This is the best value for money!
@@nicorallysport Yeah I was looking for something to maybe outlast it, but I don't think that spray graphene ceramic is going to make it.

These test's that you are doing is cool!...I was doing this in the late 1970's at my dads Dodge Dealership...If you have the chance..Infinity wax Graphene wax and QDX Graphene spray...I got it from the U.K....
I'll see if I can grab those really quick! If not I can include it in the future! I've written it on my list!
@@ScottHD We can see if your results line up with mine..Im not done testing it yet, I want to give it a fair chance to back up it's claims..the trim wax is a great product so far...shipping was around $25.00 for the three products but the products are cost friendly so it's a balance...
Scott, looking at the inconsistency of these readings, at over 2000$ for a gloss meter... I would start considering a refund! This makes me think of my stud finder... a stud, no stud, a little on left... oh no, it’s on the right now... lolll
I'm going to reserve judgement untill the new test!
Fusso is definitely more of a sealant than a wax.
Its primary ingredient is a wax, but either way it's doing very well so far.
I’ve been getting 8-12 months from Fusso on all of my vehicles. And that includes nasty Chicago winters. It’s the real deal and very economical, since there’s enough in the can to do 15-20 cars.
@@ChicagoRob2 that's fantastic! It's rated for 12 months, correct?

I thought Pan said Avalon king was a great coating and he only gets paid by companies that have good products?
🤪
Funny how some of these overpriced “latest and greatest” don’t last as long as many cheap waxes from 10years ago.
Fusso is great stuff and it lasts but don’t use it indoors. It’s very bad for your lungs but the stuff will outlast everything in harsh winters.
I noticed that when applying it. Very very strong odor to it too.
@UC-oXcXNFwM2x8WX9VTBid4w why is cquartz3 wtih carpro sic already looking like it's failing??
Soft99 cheap, efficient !
What’s the $1500 coating?
APS... The dealership stuff. It is more than $1500 at certain dealerships depending on how bad they stick it to you. The cheapest I've seen it is $400. Most expensive is $2200. You're basically paying for a warranty that they are banking in no one using
