3 Drone Video Editing Tips | Final Cut Pro X Tutorial
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 5 янв 2019
- You already manage to get good drone shots, but you lack drone video editing skills? In this tutorial, I give you 3 tips to make your drone videos a lot more stunning and cinematic using Final Cut Pro X.
At first, I teach you how to use speed ramping in your edits to reveal more of your scene in less time. So that the viewer doesn't get bored watching 15 second long clips.
In the second tip, I show you how to create the quite popular dolly zoom effect. This effect can be done in-camera on the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone. But if you don't have this drone you can easily create this effect while you edit your video.
The last tip is about color grading your drone footage. Drones are often high up in the air. So they can film objects that are far away in the distance. The problem is that such far away objects are often quite bright and not very contrasty. You can make them more visible and add contrast by using color curves. It takes a few minutes but makes your footage look a lot nicer.
All the drone video editing tips in this tutorial are done in Final Cut Pro X. However, all those edits can also be done in apps like Adobe Premiere and DaVinci Resolve.

Great tips from a creative man. well done!
Thanks 😊
Love the editing videos! Can you do a tutorial on sounds? I’ve noticed you put some nice sounds with the transitioning and other things but how do you go about doing this?
Thanks, I can do one in the next few weeks.
Here's is the sound design tutorial: ruclips.net/video/38EjVupPz-Q/видео.html :-)
Great tips, thanks Pascal. I see your project is 24fps. What frame rates do you usually film in for speed ramping? To slow down the footage should I use 60fps, 30fps or even 24fps?
I use 60fps for a 40% slow mo.
@@pascalbasel thanks Pascal
Great video. Helpful. Can you do a video on how to Basically to combine sony a7iii footage with drone footage? Using Hlg3 . if you can, Thank you.
I don't have an a7iii and don't shoot hog sorry. But generally to match cameras, learn color grading. There is no simple way of doing it. You have to read scopes and know how to use color grading tools properly.
