Hi Ted. Awesome video. My #1 focus on a video is sound design. With the right audio, I find that my footage almost edits itself. I spend time listening to my music before I edit so I have an idea on what type of shots I "feel" in the beat. I love waking up to a new video from you. Thank you so much for making the start of my day a great one!
Ted, I am glad you did this installment dealing with editing. Editing can be really daunting for beginners ( such as myself ) so a bit of a primer is a big help. One of the things you are pretty consistent in with your videos is the notion of storytelling, and it was nice to see you give this little tutorial that lays in some useful foundations to build on. I have been using many of your tips, tricks and creative suggestions in my more recent projects and when I sat back and watched it, the end result was really impressive for someone just learning how capture the video, and then use an editor to frame and present the story. Without any of that input, I am pretty sure it would have ended up 'just another drone video'... The other thing I found, and it goes to your point of evoking emotion or triggering an emotional response, sound layering for effect, and also selecting a score that is consistent with your intended message / narrative is massively powerful in delivery. If you get a chance, check out my latest and let me know your thoughts. This is turning out to be a lot more fun and rewarding than I had hoped in the beginning, and I honestly believe that having someone to look to, who is passionate on the subject, but also willing to share knowledge in a thoughtful and demonstrable way has really helped people to be more deliberate in their planning and production efforts to a degree that it really becomes an artistic pursuit. Not only that, but I love how it creates excuses to get out and take notice of things we often take for granted.
Dang! How did I miss this initially. Sorry for the late reply and thank you for the kind supportive note. What editing program are you using? You say editing can be daunting for beginners. I TRULY believe that programs like Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve are way way way too sophisticated for non-professionals. A more sophisticated editing program will not improve the footage. Only better cinematography will actually improve the footage. I am a huge fan of LUMAFUSION. I am going now to your channel and will give some thoughts on your videos. Super excited. And super grateful my playful little tutorials provide some value. Welcome aboard.
your edit is way better...their edits has so many transitions which looks annoying and so many jerky movements. They could have also done a little color grading because the footages are so flat looking. Adding a little saturation and contrast would have improve thier edits a little bit.

Love seeing other artists interpret the same source, always makes me think "WOW! I didn't even think of that!". Excellent video & channel!
Thanks so much Ted. I really appreciate just how much time, effort, and especially emotion you put into your videos. It is a huge commitment on your behalf for which I am extremely grateful. I’ve been waiting to see your basic editing workflow and you have certainly delivered. Thank you
okay so i watched the two fiver editors and i knew that was what they were going to produce.I knew as i did it as a test myself a year ago and was very shocked with what i got back. they both used your inbetween/positioning footage that is jerky and they did that with me too. that's the stuff you totally cut out, and narrow down the hero shots from. your's was the best out the 3.
That's was an interesting experiment. You can certainly see the difference in editing styles. As much as I like the rich color of the two others edits, the slightly washed out colors of the beach scenes in your video bring back the '70's vibe for me. I was born and lived on the coast during the 60, 70, and 80's. I also noticed that the others probably haven't used drone footage much as the clips that they used were not something that you would see an editor use that was more experienced with using a drone. Overall, I liked yours the best. But what I really liked was how three different people could tell three different stories with the same footage. And I think that is what you were after with this video. Thanks and keep them coming.

Hello Ted, this is the 3rd video of your I Watch in a row, I am thinking about getting a drone, and your video appeared. I want to congratulate you, you are so genuine when you are speaking to the camera, it is very emotional to hear you speaking about your passion. I found it so profound when you said editing is Art. That is so special. I am in between several other things, a visual artist, and when I heard you saying that, made me understand why so many times I try to do this and that on my videos taking some times a lot of time, ( I never thought about that) but maybe an artistic spirit speaking. I think you have a wonderful way to edit your videos and you pass a great message, what I have learned with you is a lot, thank you so much.
Eduardo what an incredible messages you wrote. I’m super grateful my playful little tutorials found a home with you. Wow I love your channel. What an incredible & valuable skill. Welcome aboard to our FLYING CAMERA CREW! Let me know if you ever get to New York City. We’ll grab a beer. Or a tea.

It's interesting how similar the other 2 edits are as far as shot placement. I liked the storyline of the second video but the first one cracked me up at the end. You always add that comedic element to your videos. Awesome
Great video like always Ted. I can always take something from all your videos. I see that the list of followers is growing, and that is well deserved 😂
Okay, I’m starting to get your ‘story-telling’ angle. It’s certainly a different approach & requires imagination & creativity. Thanks, this video really helped and I’ll be rewatching. Keep them coming Ted, love each one!
I shoot long-take drone shots to eliminate or push away the class of people who finds them BORING. I absolutely don't need such subscribers at all. Period. Wonderful episode as usual Ted!
I typically do that as well. Almost never less than 10 seconds. But it ought to be a reasonably interesting 10 seconds; bicycles casting long shadows early in the morning for instance.
Holy crap! Track Club commented on my video. I have to say….I signed up for a free membership to test your service and I received in the mail…..a welcome kit that is simply outstanding. A handwritten note, and lots of swag. Very impressive. I just started testing your interface & listening to the tracks. Wow. I’m currently using Epidemic Sound and just love them. Music truly is THE foundation to the emotions and sentiment to my editing. So to switch to Track Club would be a major move for me. So far I’m really impressed. Will test a bit more and decide. These personal touches like commenting on my goofy video and the swag is going a long way. Congrats on your great service and supporting creators. -TED NEMETH
Love the video film maker friend! Always learn something after watching your videos and try to implement some of it in my future videos. Thanks and keep that flying camera soaring!
Thanks for sharing, loving your videos and the stories you're telling. Funny story: Been recording some "drone footage" for my municipality's park team. Originally, they wanted "just" raw drone footage of the urban parks with the editing to be done by their marketing team. But then their parks commissioner pulled me to the side and asked me to do all the editing as well because he felt I'm telling stories that their marketing team (i.e. the "pros") aren't getting across. So yeah, totally with you, it's sooooooo much more than just editing - it's the narrative, the story, the emotional responses we're generating.😊 Keep up the amazing stories you're telling - loving it 🤩
That was a lovely bike, and you fit it like a glove. You know Ted, life for me has always had a bike in it. The XR500, I loved that bike! All the best man, love your vids
Charlie I appreciate you being part of the community here brother. The XR500 is such a great bike. I’m positive I must have ridden one back in the day. Are you aware of the vintage dirt bike race every year in California called HELL ON WHEELS?
Ted, I thoroughly enjoyed your video... and as an amateur here, I find myself almost doing what you do... take footage that may make a good concept and keep rolling... take a few b rolls to enhance what may have been shot in the air... then in editing cut cut cut until I see a story develop. Sometimes it make take a few days but once I am "in the zone" there is no pulling me away from the computer. Silence can be a dramatic pause used at the right moment BUT music evokes mood or sets up a new scene thus 100% agree with you. I learned so much from YOU, yep, YOU. So I thank you for letting me enjoy this hobby more with these thought provoking tools of the trade. And I am not saying I am GREAT at this, but I suck much less at this process.
Alex that is THE best compliment a guy can get on his little tutorials. I’m super grateful you found them useful. I’m really growing to love editing. What program do you use?
@@TedNemeth Currently I use FinalCut Pro and I only know how to use about 1/3rd of the program but it gets me by. I looked a DaVinci saw the interface and decided NOT start learning it as its beyond my needs. I will continue to use FCP unless they go subscription based as they did on the iPad.
Hey Ted! As ever ......brilliant! This is the first time I have seen such an editing lesson and it's just what the doctor ordered. Making notes and I shall be watching this several times over I learn so much from your presentations Many thanks!!
I used to hate edit! Grown to love it, music and story of my pnw adventures = better viewer appreciation I agree. Your passion inspires me to continually improve my edit game 👍
yesss! i agree 100%. i did not like editing at first. I found an editing program that i was comfortable with (less complicated) and not I love it. It’s like composing a story with emotions as the building blocks. I’ll check out your channel now. Love the PNW.

Thanks Ted for this amazing content. I’ve never seen this topic present so clearly, succinctly, interestingly, and useful in any drone related RUclips content. We’ll done and keep ‘em coming!
thank you for watching and letting me know you got some value from it. Honestly I’m pretty new at this and still trying to find my style, my voice with it. Great to know you liked it. Any specific topics you would like me to cover in an upcoming episode?
TED! How did you get that sungraphic on your background in the beginning??? I gotta know! My NEW and SECOND Mavic 3 Classic arrives on Tuesday. I'm so pumped! Bo
I cant believe they kept so many of the yaw shots in the videos. this is not meant to be disrespectful but now I have more confidence in my beginner editing "skills".
I love this episode. So much in it. Thanks for the editing tips! SOOOO helpful. Especially what to put in the beginning, middle, and end. I don’t actually use my drone for all clips. I try to capture many different perspectives (high shots, low shots, up close details, and wide angles) and the drone is one of them. Drone footage can be a stunning perspective so I often use it as a sort of climatic point in the video. I love the three comparisons! Something that is intriguing me is how everyone uses and doesn’t use transitions. I am struggling to no when not to use them and which ones to use at different times.
thank you for the kind words my friend. Editing can be a little frustrating at first until a basic grasp of the fundamentals is understood. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
any professional editor will tell you finding just the right music is SUPER time consuming. It’s incredibly important. I use a subscription service called Epidemic Sound. Expensive but definitely worth it. There’s an affiliate link down below if you want to check it out.

Interesting how geography influences artistic perception somewhat and music defines engagement potential exponentially, all 3 were good yours was my favourite.hope your doing well mate cheers
Thank you. Only question I have is when you are alone, who is moving the drone then when you are in closeup shot? I don't see that in your hand. Just want to understand how to do this when I am solo on my upcoming trip.
I am looking for a editor software I’m currently using hitfilm express and I’ve used we video and oneshot befre and I want to exaport my videos in 4K but all the video editors require me to pay for the higher resolution so if I am going to pay then I might as well pick a good editor I am new at editing but I do know that adjusting Color and such especially with drone footage is important like premiere has but it’s out of my hobby price range. Any suggestions?
Great video as ever Ted. The Fiver contributions really highlight the vast gap in creativity and storytelling compared to the footage you create. I used to use animation and logo creators on Fiver but soon realised that putting the work in myself can produce far better results, while learning more at the same time. Please keep these videos coming as they inspire me to get out with the drone, in between the standard British rain storms of course. 😉
@@TedNemeth I know regulations are different in each country, but I would love to know how you go about obtaining permissions to film in restricted and high populated areas. My channel is about my city and city footage is essential, but I am terrified to break rules for the sake of a good shot.
Great tips and advice on the importance of storytelling. I struggle to come up with a story to fit around captured footage that had no story to begin with. Thanks for the inspiration!
Unless your working in a 1080 timeline and your footage is 4k, cropping into your video is fine, footage will remain clean. However if you crop into a 4k video with 4k footage your footage will come out soft and look blurry depending on go much you crop in.
Ted, I want to thank you for making your videos Your my favorite content creator on here, I’ve really learned a lot from you on drones. I’m still considered a beginner at it . But I have a few questions. What app do you use when you’re editing your videos? And what is your favorite drone? And what one do you fly the most? I have the DJI Mavric Mini, it’s the only one that I have at the moment, it’s great I never had a issue with it. But I think it’s time to upgrade. Do you have any suggestions for my second drone? I’m staying with the DJI Brand of drones
oohhhh man. This comment is like caffeine pumped straight into my ventricles. This is the currency for creatives. Thanks man for watching and leaving such a great comment. Means everything. @@TedNemeth I’m Chris. And thank you. I try to go out and fly every day. But where I live it’s kind of difficult to find a place that doesn’t have all the obstacles like trees and houses. So right now I’m just flying it up and down my street trying not to aggravate or disrespect my neighbors. But I’m having fun with it right here for now until I find a place I can go to and fly it without worrying about anything. I really want to get the hang of it and really know how to fly like the rest. I don’t want to show up somewhere and embarrass myself. Lol. But I’m getting pretty good I think. The videos and pictures are coming out real good. Like I said before, thank you for sharing all your info on all the different ways, options and the dues and don’ts of flying a drone.
Just a word of advice....your drone cameras, like mine in the beginning, were very abrupt and jittery. You need to turn down your control curves and make them much more fluid. Even if you slam the stick or left or right, it should be smooth. Thanks for the editing tips though! I liked the last guys a lil too
Excellent! This is a really strong video with crappy footage, I love it👍🏼 Thanks Ted for this inspiring tips which will help to improve my story telling.

Good stuff, Ted. Storytelling is truly an art -- some people have innate talent and others, like me, don't have a clue and are in a constant state of learning, making messes along the way.
Hmmm 🤔 I see many content creators doing some great edits, slick but other than 30 secomds of fascination, no emotional content……and then there’s CapCut that’s I’ve tried for fun but it come out, well, like it’s been done by a computer that doesn’t understand emotions. Our Inner Brings know what feels right, music, cuts, fades etc. I like putting in the sound in edit, ambient, specific which since we’re all drone cinematographers here is essential I think. All the added sounds can be as emotional as any music, may even not need the music at all, nice to have a break from it on videos sometimes. Point in case, many motorcycle reviewers have music overlayed during the ride sequence completely forgetting that the sound of a good bike is what makes us initially love them. Any thoughts on sound production and use?? I’ve taken shots of my Harley then found a good sound on RUclips (royalty free). Boy does it sound better than any music even if cheating a little. Keep up the great work please 🙏😁 PS. How about a video challenge to use sounds but no music as an exercise??
Definitely liked yours the best and as you explained at the end, storytelling makes a huge difference and you are really good at it. In comparison I felt their edits had too many different types of transitions and their music was too jumpy for me. Great job Ted!!
Thank you Ted : it is literally an education watching how you work and create your videos I love the way you have a method but the flexibility to adapt it, to tell your visual stories Keep going Seriously - I have yet to find anyone that helps with the creative / artistic like you

I know I’m not for everyone….but great to hear a few people don’t think I’m the worst. Hey is there any specific topic(s) you would like me to cover in an upcoming episode?
hey buddy. i have a 2018 iPad Pro as my only computer. I use LUMAFUSION to edit and absolutely love it. But it’s time for a new Ipad since the battery life isn’t great anymore. And I’m kinda thinking of trying Final Cut Pro on the Ipad. Why do you want to use Resolve? That’s way too complicated.
@@TedNemeth Hi, thanks for the info. I l ike Resolve 1 - Because it's FREE 2 - It has fuatures similar from Premiere and After Effects mixed. 3 - It has great color grading tools and LUTs. hey Tom. thanks for watching brother. yeah give storytelling a try. The key is to keep it suuuuuper simple. Please tag me! I’d love to see what you create.
Great and informative Video. Cropping is so powerful.😊 I normaly start with a overview of my footage and then search for music and do the rougth cut afterwards. For me This way works better. But it is interesting to See how other people structure their edeting flow. 😁 Greetings Moritz
I like the idea of story telling, and I personally do not color correct videos or pictures. I feel that it takes away for what the real view was at that moment. I don't want the picture or video to portray something that it was not really there at the time. Great video, appreciate the information.
Hey sorry if I missed it but what software are you running todo your edits. I’m starting my drone journey and struggling on the videos and editing them
hey my friend. I tried all the different editing programs on the market and found LUMAFUSION to be the best for me. It’s simplicity, but highly capable, and I’m able to edit SUPER fast. It actually makes editing fun and creative. Welcome aboard my friend!
Hi Ted. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this topic. It was an interesting experiment. When ever I complete a video I find it curious to search for content with the same subject matter to see how others film and edit their videos. The technique of shooting wide/medium/close seems to be part of the foundation of great cinematography. I now try to employ an element of story telling in my videos. Music, as you have said plays a huge part along with cutting to the rhythm of the music and the all important sound design. Taking a break from editing for a day or 2 is great advice. Far too often I gotten so engrossed into a project, editing for hours to finish & publish it. Only to find after a few days or so, I`ve made simple mistakes or missed opportunities. Unnecessary cuts and garish transitions tends to detract from the overall finish of the video. It`s all to tempting when you have a myriad of transition at your disposal to get carried away with them all. I know i did, initially. Keep up the great content.

Or a tea.
@@TedNemeth Thank you so much, Ted, for your message and invitation, very nice and kind, for sure if I pass by New York I will say Hi. I will have to go by your videos because of the tips you give for someone new to this like me... Are Gold. Do you have any videos about DJI Air 3? Do you like it?
I can't stop a seeing your reference to Ken Heron in all your videos. It's hilarious! This time written with a felt pen on the lamp shade 😂 Pure gold!
ha! you caught that. I the biggest Ken fan. He keeps it fun.
It's interesting how similar the other 2 edits are as far as shot placement. I liked the storyline of the second video but the first one cracked me up at the end. You always add that comedic element to your videos. Awesome
thanks man. Gotta keep it playful. I’m not trying to cure cancer over here.
Keep them coming Ted, love each one!
right on my friend. welcome aboard.
Hi , Thank you for your great Video 📹 but which Editing Software are you using for Video Editing ? Please 😊
More inspiring content. Thanks for feeding my creative appetite 😃👍❤
Love your videos man! I learn so much and enjoy them every time.
You were very gracious in your appraisal of the other videos. I respect that.
ahh man i appreciate you watching and commenting. Dude…pinball! absolutely love it.
Great tutorial Ted...can you share what editor you use?
You're right, Storytelling is Key!.
Really great tips, Ted! Your storytelling skill really shows through your work. Great watch 👏
-TED NEMETH
@@TedNemeth This is so great to hear, Ted! Have fun continuing to test Track Club and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions :)
Another great video Ted loved it! and alot of awesome laughs in your videos as usual keep up the awesome work please and thanks brother..
Love the video film maker friend! Always learn something after watching your videos and try to implement some of it in my future videos. Thanks and keep that flying camera soaring!
Thanks for sharing, loving your videos and the stories you're telling.
Funny story:
Been recording some "drone footage" for my municipality's park team.
So yeah, totally with you, it's sooooooo much more than just editing - it's the narrative, the story, the emotional responses we're generating.😊
Keep up the amazing stories you're telling - loving it 🤩
That was a lovely bike, and you fit it like a glove.
Very useful video as usual... Thank you so much Ted... 🔥🔥🤙
Making notes and I shall be watching this several times over
I learn so much from your presentations Many thanks!!
Right on, Ted still ♥️ Chaka Khan! Whatta hottie! This is awesome stuff. I've been working at more story telling, thanks to you, dude!

Great stuff Ted! Thanks!
Is there a particular software needed to edit the photos?
@@TedNemeth Any tips on when to not use transitions and what transitions to use at different times?
@@TedNemeth I’m thrilled that you replied to my comment. I apologize if my question is a loaded one.
I really enjoyed your video!
How do you go about finding the right music for your editing process?
any professional editor will tell you finding just the right music is SUPER time consuming. It’s incredibly important. I use a subscription service called Epidemic Sound. Expensive but definitely worth it. There’s an affiliate link down below if you want to check it out.
Seeing these fiver videos gives me so much confidence. I actually needed this
Thank you Ted! Editing takes me the most time by far, and I always fall flat in the end I feel. Awesome tutorial! 👍👍
Screenshot and saved. That’s for the time. Helped a lot!! 👍💯
right on. hey i loved ur latest video. You’re quite talented. Loved the sound design & slower pace.
@@TedNemeth Wow I didn’t expect this! Lol I hardly have time to go fly epic spots where I work so much but my spare time is spent trying to learn something new. I’m gonna try to use your layout on my next one. That’s the kind of help I was needing! Thanks again!
have you made a video with the dji mini 4 pro yet or are you ever planning on doing one?

Starting to take my own drone seriously. This was such a good video. So helpful.
right on. I checked out your channel. Great drone footage. where is Kos located?
@@TedNemeth It's a Greek isalnd. I have so much more to publish, but like you say, I want it to be a story. Thanks for checking it out
Thanks Ted, you may have already answered this but whats the software you use to edit?
hey Chris. I use LUMAFUSION and absolutely love it.
DaVinci resolve is free for 95% of features and is the color space boss.
Excellent. The scene establishing shot is often missing, leading me to wonder, "Where is it?" and that unanswered question can dominate my mind.
Ted you are so passionate about your Film making, I am totally inspired watching your videos.
Alan! THAT is what I needed to hear today. I got a little of the winter…..blahs lately. Thank you my friend.
Thanks for that video. You transformed highly my editing and recording skills through my amatour dron operator career! Thanks for that!
Great tips. Most times I step away for a few days when editing too. 👍🏾👍🏾
ahh man! great to see you here. I appreciate it.
As a new drone pilot and film editor, this was very helpful!
Right on! Welcome aboard my flying filmmaker friend. Do you have any specific questions? …or things you’d like me to cover in an upcoming episode?
@@TedNemeth I know regulations are different in each country, but I would love to know how you go about obtaining permissions to film in restricted and high populated areas. My channel is about my city and city footage is essential, but I am terrified to break rules for the sake of a good shot.
I learned alot from this video. Appreciate it Ted
Great tips and advice on the importance of storytelling. I struggle to come up with a story to fit around captured footage that had no story to begin with. Thanks for the inspiration!
ohhh its definitely tough. I’d say the majority of my drone footage doesn’t have a strong story. And definitely not good to force it or fake it.
Great video as always Ted, I learnt a lot from it 🙏
namaste brother James.
I edit using LUMAFUSION. I absolutely love it. Fast, fun, easy, yet powerful. My favorite drone? Mini 2. Drone I fly the most?…..Mini 2. I don’t need a more powerful drone with better specs.
ruclips.net/video/Cn847eeBOkA/видео.html
But I also own the Mini 3 Pro. i tell ya….that RC controller is truly worth the money for a few reasons. The Mini 3 is much quieter than the Mini 2 which I really appreciate. You’re asking for a suggestion…..The standard Mini 3 with the RC controller is an incredible value.
Welcome to THE FLYING CAMERA CREW!
Hey whats your name?
This is another great tutorial, Ted!
hey John. ahh man super glad to year you dig it. Thank you for watching.
Just a word of advice....your drone cameras, like mine in the beginning, were very abrupt and jittery. You need to turn down your control curves and make them much more fluid. Even if you slam the stick or left or right, it should be smooth.
Thanks for the editing tips though! I liked the last guys a lil too
Excellent! This is a really strong video with crappy footage, I love it👍🏼
Thanks Ted for this inspiring tips which will help to improve my story telling.
I liked them all. and music really helps.
Paul….I like your style my friend. That’s a beautiful part of VA. I’m up here on Long Island NY. Are you using a flying camera to document your listings? …or just weekend adventures
@@TedNemeth hey there. I like your work too. I used to be a photographer, and did aerial photos with a small plane. I got my drone license last December.. I have been practicing with it, and I use it to show buyer prospects from out of the area, when I go scouting. My broker office uses someone they are familiar with. I'm going to go after roof inspections, camp sites, and other possible work, plus being an agent here.
Thank you for this, Ted.
right on. What editing program are you using?
@@TedNemeth Believe it or not, I edit everything on my phone! I use LightCut. 😁

@@TedNemethThank you for advice. I appreciate all of your support. I did take some of your advice for my new video (uploaded now), in that I waited for the sun to start to set before filming to give a better lighting effect. Thank you again, Ted.
Very informative as always, thanks
Good stuff, Ted. Storytelling is truly an art -- some people have innate talent and others, like me, don't have a clue and are in a constant state of learning, making messes along the way.
Awesome content! I’m learning from you!
Wonderful video. Thanks for your help!
Hmmm 🤔
I see many content creators doing some great edits, slick but other than 30 secomds of fascination, no emotional content……and then there’s CapCut that’s I’ve tried for fun but it come out, well, like it’s been done by a computer that doesn’t understand emotions.
Keep up the great work please 🙏😁
PS. How about a video challenge to use sounds but no music as an exercise??
Definitely liked yours the best and as you explained at the end, storytelling makes a huge difference and you are really good at it. In comparison I felt their edits had too many different types of transitions and their music was too jumpy for me. Great job Ted!!
Very inspirational, love your videos and love your style man
Timmy I truly appreciate it brother man! What editing program do you use?
Thank you Ted : it is literally an education watching how you work and create your videos
I love the way you have a method but the flexibility to adapt it, to tell your visual stories
Keep going
Seriously - I have yet to find anyone that helps with the creative / artistic like you
Glen! Wow man I can’t tell you how happy I am to hear that specific comment. I’ve been trying to find my own style, and doing a lot of second guessing on my creativity & presentation. I know I’m not for everyone….but great to hear a few people don’t think I’m the worst. Hey is there any specific topic(s) you would like me to cover in an upcoming episode?
What is that tablet you use? What editing app do you use? I'm looking an alternative more compact than a laptop. Is there Davinci Resolve for tablets?
hey buddy. i have a 2018 iPad Pro as my only computer.
Sure, we can colorgrade in any editing software, but Resolve is the best FREE option I know. I never used LumaFusion.
Maybe I should try it.
Another great video Ted. I've actually been waiting for you to do an editing video so thanks. It's interesting that you use your iPad to do all of your editing. Are you using Luma Fusion? Anyway it looks great and I learned a lot. Would love to see a video where you go more in depth with your editing process. I know you focus mainly on drone photography but I think editing it and getting a final product is also a big part of the process. I look forward to the next video.
hey Rich. yup LumaFusion. It’s my favorite. I will do a more in-depth episode soon.
What ipad are you using? It isn't listed in your gear and with the editing tips, I am sure everyone would like to know which and why?
hey buddy. I use a 2018 IPad Pro. Works perfectly. Lightning fast. I wish for nothing more.

I use LUMAFUSION. It’s truly powerful and fast/easy to use.
I also hear great things about CAPCUT.
@@TedNemeth Thanks alot you make really amazing videos and you definitely help alot ppl just learning.
Both editors were not afraid to use the more raw footage but made it work and sometimes less obvious with speed and transition effects. 👍
I appreciate you offering supportive words my friend. I loved your stone circle footage. You captured some beautiful light there.
@@TedNemeth Thanks Ted. I was going to email as I did not see your message before. Eventually I stopped worrying about it as the footages main purpose was for people who could not access the field.

What Editing software do you use?
Never really tried the story telling form of video, Ted. I have basically only tried connecting good scenes to great music. I like the challenge you have given and will see if I, too, can do a story-teller. Thanks for always providing inspiration. //Tom
hey Tom. thanks for watching brother. yeah give storytelling a try. The key is to keep it suuuuuper simple. Please tag me! I’d love to see what you create.
Hey Ted, it’s your friend who emailed you and I appreciate you so very much and your optimism and what editing program do you recommend on a budget?
Great video.... Yours was far and away the best. The last one by the fiber artist made me dizzy.
