Love that you teach the shortcuts in your videos - it's much easier when you learn these at the start rather than halfway through
Yeah it makes it so much simpler to cut the footage
helped a lot for making the switch! great tips!
Hey man, its great to see you stop by my channel. I've learned a lot from you as well.
This is a short cut tutorial...
After using Vegas for 10 years and messing up with the shortcuts I can't live without them anymore! So after moving to FCPX I instantly changed the shortcuts and you should too!
This is my BEFORE = SHORTCUT
CTRL + Z == 1
CMD + B == 2
DELETE == 3
SHIFT + RIGHT == 4
So my left hand basically doesn't move, 1234 and I'm all set =)
Thats really cool. What about when you need to type in the number 1 or 2 as Text? Does it still work?
The CTRL-V for the title animations has just made me so angry and happy at the same time!
I wasted so much time messing around with keyframes, this will help so much - thank you!
Great video Marcos, thank you!
This is my favorite advanced editing in FCPX Tutorial I've liked so much so. far .
thanks so much for this tutorial and the beginner one. time to explore final cut pro x
You just blowed my mind LOL
I've been using FCPX for more than 2 years now, and still got some new tips and shortcuts from this video!
Amazing! thank you!
Awesome!
Marcos, I have never written a comment on youtube. You are hands down the best instructor I have seen so far!
Man, you just made my day! I am not a super polished speaker, but I hope I am straight to the point. Thanks for commenting! 😁
This guide is like FCP. Precise and fast.
well done
BROTHER, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! You oooh really helped me!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Extremely helpful. Exactly the video I was looking for. Thank you
👍🏼
Your videos are getting better all the time. Thanks.
Thanks Francisco
Excellent tutorial. I am relatively new to Final Cut Pro X, and you upped my game in less than 15 minutes. Time well-spent! Thank you!
Man, I am glad I can cut down your learning curve. Let me know if you have any problems.
This is the best video I've seen so far for a FCPX beginnner.
Use the range tool (R) for selecting an area where you want to paste (Q) something. In your case the adjustment layer or title. Just select the area and press Q. the footage will appear exactly on the selected area. But you gave me some good tips! I loved your video.
Oh man, I am going to try that. Thanks.
Great video mate, learnt a lot
Thank you Marcos; so helpful!!!

More coming up!
I was looking for the tip of sound syncing. Thanks!
Watched the whole video and learned a lot. Would appreciate more of those
1:30 especially for people who are new to editing.. it may be worth changing the name of the video and audio so that they match (are the same). Like video & 1 audio 1. You could even add a shorter version of your project name, so that you are sure you have the right files in FCPX!
I Once matched the wrong audio with the wrong video and was like... Never again!!
Thanks so much for this video 👍🏿
Workflow is everything 💯

Wooow thank you so much.... CMD + B is what I was looking for!
Bryan thats awesome
Thanks for this beautiful 'illustrated-fact-filled' video. Wasn't much interested in using shift+[ ] commands in the past, but, after seeing this video, I will try to use it more often! Also, I just loved your method of adjusting the zoom by scaling down the video to 25% and then making the adjustments! I am blessed with your videos. May God bless you abundantly.
Thank you!
I want to know whether there are any shortcuts to cutting audio or video clips in the angle viewer while editing a multicam?
I love how you "soomed" in the video.

good to hear James 😁
Awesome channel!! You could save a few clicks here and there still... if you keyframe it once for example, you don't have to click again, just change the value and it will automatically create a keyframe. Also, if you start with hitting a keyframe on the destiation point and then move the starting point with adding the 2nd keyfarme, you save even more clicks :)..
Thanks for this informative video. I look forward to seeing more!
Thank you for sharing those tips. Welcome to my channel man!
thank you !
Excellent video, thanks...
Thanks Dennis!
New subscriber here. I like your style of teaching, it's very easy to follow. I just received my new iMac and installed Final Cut and Motion. I've been using Filmora which is extremely limiting and it will nice to take off the shackles. It's been 6 years since I've used Final cut and version 10 seems a bit different. I am sure I will get back to my old self with your help.
I am sure you will, you just have to use it often. Make sure to watch my other FCPX tutorials.
@@MarcosRochaTV, I will most definitely watch more.
Thanks Marcos, very useful tips. Enjoyed this tutorial and love your presentation style and manner.

hi there i'm new to your channel but thank you so much for the video, so i recently (like yesterday i mean) i bullshit my way in a job interview, they asked me if i ever use FCP and i said "of course!" knowing damn well i dont even know what FCP logo looks like nor have i ever touched MAC my whole life BECAUSE I WAS DESPERATE and you gotta sell if you wanna be bought..yknow?, so tomorrow i have a test skill where i have to use FCP on MAC for the very first time in my life and pretends i know my shits like a pro. and this video is so easy to follow and all that hot keys mentions will make my lyin ass look like a pro. so thank you so much man! and wish me luck with the test...
Man, this is the funniest comment I've seen. I hope I land you the job...... let me know if it works out. Also, make sure to watch my Final Cut Pro X Beginners Tutorial. Good luck.
Marcos Rocha oh dont worry i watched that too so now i'd know what to do first hand haha. and thanks i hope i get the job too lmao
Marcos Rocha hey! i dont really know if you wanna hear about this but I GOT THE JOB! started working since monday all thanks to your videos i managed to use FCP for the first time in my life with no problem, in fact i found it to be a lot easier to use than premiere but i'm just not used to using MAC yet. but anyway you get yourself an additional subscriber! would love to learn more from your videos since it will help me with this new job that i got after lying. 😂

Thank you Mr Rocha, keep up the good work!
