    Cant beat Suzukis bulletproof reliability. Big selling point of this model.

    Something i just learned yesterday on my ride... The throttle also acts as a cancelation device for the cruise control. There is a little "play" in the throttle when you roll the throttle forward. Always felt like a "less than positive" return position when coming off the throttle. Nothing super annoying, but yea, i noticed it. Well, that is actually a function on the bike. Get onto the highway, set your cruise and then roll that throttle forward. It will disengage. You of course can use the brakes also, but its very convenient that you have an option to just rotate your wrist a millimeter to disengage as well.

    I've just come from the ninja 1000sx, went all over Europe on it. Thousands of miles and it's a good bike , but the Suzuki is a far superior machine, alot less intrusive and more of a riders bike. I would say the Kawasaki is more for the beginner going to a thousand CC mainly because of all the corner and ride AIDS that You as a beginner will need. But I have no regrets at all switching to the Suzuki, it sounds better too. Great review! Fun to your face. I like that. 😂

      I keep hearing the same complaints about the brakes on this bike. I bought one recently and have to say that the brakes in no way feel wooden to me. Maybe its because i have a 2024 and they adjusted the tuning? I just cant find an issue with them. They feel responsive and crisp to me.

    Needs a Brembo brake master cylinder, heated grips, an 18 tooth front sprocket to make it a damn good every day bike. I love mine.

    Nice review. This seems like a nice bike for the budget conscious, but doesn't appear to compare well with the upper Euro brands, specifically the BMW S1000XR or the Ducati Mulltistrada (V2 or V4), which come with more power, more features, better handling, etc.

      Noting a flash and maybe a decat can't fix. Easy extra 20HP. These modern bike come so neutered from the factory nowadays thanks to Euro5. My 23 XR is completely different bike with a flash and header decat.

      128bhp at the wheel on 89RON fuel...they run very lean standard,need to de-cat them,filter and a flash...Why the GSX-S950 is a bargain, it cost the exact same to uncork!

    • @UnburdenedByWhatHasBeen
      @UnburdenedByWhatHasBeen 2 месяца назад +1

      @williamrae9954 I'd imagine a good tuner would do wonders once you installed a good exhaust and a high flowing BMC air filter. It's irritating that Suzuki would mess with that motor too much from its original k5 variation. I understand the emissions shit but that motor in its original form was reliable, had plenty of torque throughout the rev range, and all the horsepower anyone would need on a bike. If anything they should have used the same configuration that's in the current GSX-S1000.

      Hayabusa is still a massive bike. Good for straight line speed but the GT will be much easier and faster riding it in the twisties. I think the GT has better ergos than the Busa also.

      I looked em both over. I rode em both. I ended up with the GT. The busa is amazing, but this one honestly is every bit as good in different ways. Amazing wind protection for me and im 6'5". Price is better. Its more of a sport bike when fully engaged in twisties. The ride is smoother and actually downright easy to manage in heavy traffic. Yea, ill own a busa one day, but this time around i settled on a GSXS1000gt+ in red and i LOVE it. Suzuki knocked it out of the park on this one.
