    So are you off duty if you’re in the passenger seat or does that mean you’re on duty not driving?

    buying a Daycab semi in London OH or New York State. Driving it to Nebraska for farm use. I'm over 150 miles line of sight from the farm, so I'm not farmer exempt from log book, but I am exempt from electronic data monitoring. Does the plane flight and taxi ride to the dealership count as hours of service, non driving? How do I record my hours sleeping in the hotel on the return trip home? And yes, I will need a medical card for this trip.

      @smartdrivetest  3 года назад

      Hi Bradley Choquette - no, your travel time on the plane and ride to the dealership doesn't count on your log my friend. Your sleeping time in the hotel will be off-duty time my friend as you will be away from the truck. Godspeed my friend. All the best, Cheers Rick

    Can you otr a daycab and sleep in a hotel every night. How would you log that in a logbook

    • @smartdrivetest
      @smartdrivetest  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Gumby Grom - Thank you for your comment and query. Yes you can my friend. You would simply log your time as off duty and keep the hotel receipts to show authorities if you get pulled over and audited.
