I have a piston .223 AR. I love it but I prefer .308 to .223 and I've had my eye on the lighter Revolution for a while. POF is a legit company that tends to build a quality and reliable AR. Are you planning on completing a test of this rifle soon? It looks pretty awesome. Good video too.
Georgia Fan Thanks for the feedback. It’s a 2 hour drive to the ranch where I do most of my longer range shooting. I also have a local 100 yard range. It’s definitely on my list of things to do. I already picked up a few different types of match grade ammo for testing. Hopefully I can get it done soon, so stay tuned. Thanks for watching!
Sweet rig no doubt. I've read really good results with Federal Gold Match 175gr-which I have yet to try on mine. Mine shoots ~1-2moa using old M80 ball @100, 200, 300, and 400yds . I have not tried really good ammo yet-will do this spring/summer. Thanks for the vid.
IBTJC 4Life I’m currently in my last year of getting my doctorate degree while working full time and have not been able to make this review happen. This is a more time consuming project but it’s something I’m looking forward to doing when I have the time. Tonight for example, I’m stuck writing papers...

@@werunguns piston, only 50 rounds through now. so fa so good. recoil is light, but the gun is heavier than the advertised 7.3lbs. Mine is around 7.75lbs
super sweet! awesome rifle. i was very interested in it but i went with the equally impressive DD5V1 thanks to the awesome deal my dealer gave me.$1700!
Great price. I'd love to hear your feedback on it. I almost bought it, well technically I did. Then I saw a bad review from Nutnfancy and returned it with a 10% restocking fee. I honestly should have just tested it myself and done my own review. Looks badass!
We Run Guns - yep you probably should have kept it if you got a good deal on it. imo anything under $2200 is reasonable. under $2000 is great. for the $1700 i paid its the deal of the decade! i saw nutn's review also but ive learned to read between the lines with him. if he doesnt like a rifle from the start bc its too heavy or whatever, its gonna get a bad review. if its too heavy, too expensive and wont run his beloved steel cased ammo itll get crucified. besides, i dont care what he says, he was running the thing dry as a bone. i can tell by the sound and look at the wear on his carrier. not to mention, if you see the rifle wont run steel, why keep going, clearing jams and crying and bitching and making a scene like a pms-ing woman with a fly in her soup? pack it up and come back with brass you big baby! my DD5V1 has been excellent. 100% reliable and sub 1 to 3/4 MOA accurate although 1.5" - 2" is the norm with old surplus ammo. i havent spent a lot of time with it yet nor tried a bunch of different loads though. no match ammo at all, so im expecting good things. but with German MEN 147 gr FMJ loads, Hornady 155 gr JHP loads and some old Portuguese and South African NATO M80 ball loads its been 100% reliable and definitely more accurate than it should be with that ammo. i do not run steel cased ammo in any of my guns. 4 cents per rd in 5.56 and 8 cents per rd in 7.62 savings over brass does not justify the potential reliability issues and increased wear on the feed ramps, chamber and extractor of my expensive rifles. as for first impressions, i loved the sleek, graceful and elegant architecture of it. as well as the full ambi features of the DD. FULL ambi bolt control, with catch and release on the right has become MANDATORY for me and that and the awesome price my dealer gave me cinched the deal. the bolt release is a little high imo and requires a bit of a tweak to my wrist to access and all 3 controls, catch, release and mag release are a little crowded. it took a minute to build muscle memory to quickly find the control i was looking for but ive since gotten it. i would prefer a slightly more spread out layout though or a different bolt control lever all together. more like the ADM OIC or new Sig M-400 3-gun rifle with a laterally pivoting lever design just above and well behind the mag release. the DD gets it done though and thats what counts. i can train to adapt to whatever. DDs choice to design mirrored controls, i.e. with the mag release exactly opposite the standard right side, necessitated a complex pivoting mag catch that im not in love with. the right side button has less leverage than the left and my Lancer L7 AWM mags with stainless steel feed lips and latch window can bind up a bit. it takes a FIRM push on the right button to drop the mag while the left is normal. its not an issue with polymer mags however. but, DD should have just used a standard right side mag catch with a pivoting lever on the left that lifts the standard mag catch like everyone else has done. i wonder how much of the astronomical and rediculous $3044 msrp can be attributed to that proprietary mag catch? ditto for the ball detent charging handle. i hated it at first as it was extremely stiff but it has broken in nicely. i wish they would have cut the receiver to also accept standard CHs though. also, at $3044 msrp it should have come with the Geiselle SSA-E enhanced trigger instead of the slightly less crisp SSA. Its a very good trigger but not great. The BCGs proprietary coating is extremely slick and cleans up nicely and it has some very innovative features. its one of the best designs ive seen with an enhanced bolt with beveled, radiused and releived locking lugs, beefed up and revised extractor and captive pivot pin, dual ejectors and strengthened cam pin and hole. the captive firing pin retainer is nice but theres nothing to hold it in place once the BCG is out of the receiver. it will just slide out from gravity to its dissassembly position, freeing the firing pin to fall out, allowing the cam pin to fall out, allowing the bolt to fall out(the bolts gas rings have almost zero friction and retention). the BCG will simply self dissassemble, leaving me with my mouth open and a stupid look on my face. hmmm. keep your thumb on that firing pin retainer while handling the BCG! also because of how smooth and frictionless everything is, the bolt will easily unlock from the barrel and the BCG will come flying out of the receiver if you open it with the muzzle up. the BCG weighs about 16 lbs and cracks the sound barrier at about knee height and will leave a crater in the Earth when it hits ground. i do NOT work on my DD5V1 barefoot any more! the BCGs finish while very slick, is not actually smooth. it has an almost powdery feel and that tends to get polished at the high wear areas causing it to look like wear but is actually just the powdery texture burnishing to smooth. just something to note. i hate that skrawny DD grip so i swapped it for my favorite Magpul K2. the stock is excellent as is the keymod Handguard. i though it was going to get too hot too fast being so small in diameter but it hasnt been an issue yet. i have not dumped 3 or 4 mags yet though. it may need rail covers. i really like the 4-bolt barrel/handguard mounting system with its extended and very stable forward receiver area that provides a much larger, stronger and rock solid barrel mount point. i think it has real advantages over a barrel nut as far as rigidity and therefore accuracy is concerned. the rifle handles and shoots very nicely. its not super light but this is an AR-10 after all. its lighter than most that can equal its accuracy though. the comp does a good job of keeping the muzzle down and stable but i believe it actually INCREASES recoil! it has a bit of push to it. ill swap it out soon. even so, i can rattle out doubles and triples at about 350 rds per min while keeping every round inside 8" at 15 yds. inside 12" at 25 yds. i cant do that with any other AR-10. overall i really like this DD5V1. maybe even love it once ive corrected its few deficiencies. at $1700 i dont think theres a better 7.62 battlerifle out there. but few will find an equal deal. most will pay $2100 to $2400. at that price id say if its on your top 3 list and has the features you want and its a couple hundies less than your next fave, go for it. anything under $2100, definetely buy it! its a great rifle. hope that helps. sorry so long. i figured i might as well give you the full skinny.

We Run Guns Well, your education is more important. That said, should I buy this or is it far worse than MOA and perhaps unreliable?
IBTJC 4Life I don’t have enough time behind it to give you a solid answer. I believe it lives up to its promises but can’t tell for sure yet
