      @@Язепс Frank died following a traffic accident on June 18, 2020, in north Phoenix. According to an initial news report he took evasive action (he swerved) to avoid a collision with someone who had turned in front of him. The other driver left the scene, and as of that report remained unknown. I suggest doing a search for "In Loving Memory of Frank DeSomma POF-USA." With knowing nothing about Patriot Ordnance Factory and strictly on the recommendation of a trusted gun shop owner I ordered the Revolution Piston model exactly as shown in this video. (A Direct Impingement model is now also available.) This was just 2 weeks before the traffic accident that took Frank on June 18th, 2020. I received the rifle on June 19th, one day after Frank died.
    At the time I knew nothing about Frank DeSomma, knew nothing about the accident. It was a sad time to have learned shortly thereafter of his passing. Frank truly was rightfully proud of his work. He was an uncompromising patriot, and he was uncompromising in his attention to quality and detail. How fortunate I am to have one of his excellent rifles. I wish I could have met him.

And, SCAR mags are $30+, and the Timney trigger was pretty much a mandatory upgrade. One plus the SCAR would have is the fully folding buttstock, but that's not usually a big deal.

      @justanotherinternetexpert7743 4 года назад +3

      I own both, and they are both very nice guns. I would not say one is better then the other just different. The POF definitely has some innovation on it that that LWRC does not come with, the heat sink barrel nut, e2 chamber, the gas blocks are alittle more tunable on higher end the POF rifles, but lwrc has a tighter fitting reciever group, I like lwrc piston system a miniscule amount better but that's OPINION, and truthfully if you asked me tomorrow I might tell you POF has the better piston system, both systems work very well, and both are highly reliable systems,(just as reliable and actually IMO more robust then HK piston system on the mr556), it is just two different ways to get the same problem solved, neither is really better then the other just different. Lmao, I hate that when a reviewer says that, but I am literally looking at both guns now and I could not pick a clear winner over the other, I would feel supremely confident in my rifle, if the shtf today and I had to run out the door with either one.

    I wonder if they can make a 5.56 upper that fits that lower and maybe an insert to hold the smaller mags. The only things holding me back is some had 4'' groups, some just torqued the top rail screws and have 1.2-1.5 inch groups and reloading .308 is a must at the ammo cost. Lots of people reload G3 ammo with the 12 chamber cuts, these have 4. They recommend factory match ammo, others say only very soft brass would be an issue to resize.

      @@sangphan09 I still love what this rifle represents, and ours functions fairly well, but doesn't have the accuracy I was expecting. I sent it back to POF who had it for six weeks. They returned it without explanation and included targets presumably shot by the rifle that were outstanding, but couldn't tell me what load it was or what they did to the rifle. It appears to have a new barrel, but I can't confirm as I didn't record the numbers on the old barrel before I sent it in. I've been to the range twice with 5 different loads each time and just can't get anything better than about 1.5" out of it. It seems they replaced the barrel, and I don't want to blame POF, but I can't seem to get the performance out of it shown by so many. By the time I made the last range trip ammo had become so expensive and hard to find that I don't dare shoot it much, especially to struggle with it.

      @@GBGuns yeah...... I have two of the rifles. Renegade in 7.62x39. And the P415 Edge. The edge runs flawlessly as expected. As far as the renegade.......
      I’ve only put 40 rounds through it. 20 wolf steel ammo(suppressed) 20 brass non suppressed. No malfunctions. But, not enough ammo through it to say it’s a flawless one. Lots of people on RUclips and on forums have issues with AR15 chambered in 7.62x39. I don’t want to jinx it. But I’m a lucky one!!!

    You mentioned AR15 stock. Do they make AR10 stock?

    • @GBGuns

      I suppose you could call it one if you wanted to. The tube diameter and size is the same on this gun though.

    Where can I order one

    Cool idea, but why not just buy an ar-10 if you want to shoot .308?

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  2 года назад +1

      The intent behind the development of this gun was to provide 308 power in a platform the same size as an AR15. These receivers are the same length pin to pin as an AR 15. Additionally this is a piston system which keeps the gun cooler and cleaner and makes for less gas in the face when shooting suppressed.

    • @jeffbridges7009
      @jeffbridges7009 2 года назад

      @@GBGuns not sure about the whole piston design. Your gun wont run cleaner, you will simply have carbon deposits in another place to clean instead of the bolt area. I think cleaning a d.i. gun is way easier than cleaning a piston gun personally, but thats just me. Piston guns are overly expensive as well but again, thats just me. Still a cool gun! It is 3/4 of an inch shorter, and weighs several ounces lighter than an ar-10 i guess.

    So POF Revolution or Stag 10 S ?!?

    • @GBGuns
      @GBGuns  4 года назад

      The Stag 10 S is an incredible AR10. I honestly don't think the Revolution fits in the same category. Not really an AR15 or an AR10 and has a different operating system.

    I will never buy another pof after purchasing my p308, the gun developed a failure to feed issue, I couldn't even go through a clip with out an issue. I emailed them for help, got no response. Had to take it to a gun Smith for help. I ordered several of their proprietary rail segments for the pof, one package came with two different sized screws 😡 My PWS MK 216 GEN 1 consistently out performs the pof, it cost less, and it goes pew pew every time I pull the trigger. I would take my PWS to hell and back! I'm working on a deal right now to trade my pof for a Styer scout.
