They’re still doing it and if anything, the crowds have gotten bigger and not only is Bruce an incredible singer he also flies the bands jumbo jet on the road. Do you wanna check out another great song check out anything from Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son personally, I’d like can I play with madness or moonchild But if you think Bruce is an incredible singer, you should check out Ronnie James Dio there is somebody that wasn’t of this earth.
@@ChrisB-xm3mg lol yeah a lot of people don't know he has an actual certification in flying planes and he would fly planes because he liked it outside of the band just because he loved it. Also, the fact how good of a fencer Bruce is!
Bruce is known to have vocal cords of steel! No singer runs and sings at the same time because they can't hold the key, Bruce has legendary stamina and does not miss a beat! Truly Amazing!
bruce born 58, nicko oldest now 71, rest around 56. bruce cut his hair because he is a professional passenger jet pilot and flies ed force one from continent to continent. plus he is a champion fencer, novelist wrote his autobiography, did a tour, talking to audience, singing acapella. now he was forced to retire at 65 fro being a pro passenger pilot so his hair is ling again. he also owns a tank.
Ive seen Iron Maiden 31 times, they are the only band I will get on a plane and fly around the world to see, because they have never NEVER disappointed me. Amazing shows, sound great, great energy and we fans let them know how much we appreciate them. you gotta go see it for yourself.
Greetings and Love from Germany....i am a MaidenManiac since 1985...you don´t have to appologize and you dont piss me off, buddy...of course Maiden is live at best...but many good songs they didn´t play live and still worth listen to, you know...i am glad you discoverd Maiden, its always nice to see young people understand that Metal isnt just noise and screaming evil....thanx for your awesome reaction video....have a peaceful weekend, stay safe, Bloodbrother & UP THE IRONS
yes and you get eddie too. once in a lifetime you get a band like this. you see them here and rush say working man live in cleveland time maqchine tour and the bands seem to be having so much fun playing and the audience feeling such joy.
This was recorded in summer 2015 right after Bruce had gone through 2 months of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy treatment for Tongue cancer at 56 yrs old. His voice may have been off some but it is “Bruce Dickenson and Iron Freaking Maiden” I promise you that everyone there was beyond totally stoked!
The bass player Steve is 67, Dave, Adrian and janick on guitars are all 66, Bruce the singer is 64, Nicko on drums is 70, welcome to Iron Maiden from Scotland, up the Irons.
It's cool you heard the studio version first then watched this, gives you a bit of that live sensation and this audience in Santiago, Chile are incomparable, it's quite something to see, metal fans in S. America are on a whole other level (and yes, someone has a flare in the audience, pretty nutty and dangerous)
Thanks for the live version! I actually think, other than this song, maiden should be heard on the album 1st. This song live actually made me enjoy it.
There's also the fact they kind of sped up the live version so they could take breaks to let the audience sing! They changed the way it was done to involve the crowd!
This is 2011. I saw them a few months ago, for about the 20th time since 1981. No drop off in energy or performance quality. Bruce at 64 was the youngest of the 6 band members, Nicko the oldest at 70. Sounds ridiculous but I don't care -- this last show was the best Maiden performance I've seen, and that is figuring in the stage production. Couldn't have been more impressed and appreciative of what they're still doing when all of them are beyond financially set.
16:27 This concert was in April 2011, so in this concert the band members are between 52 and 59 years old. Bruce Dickinson, vocals 52 Dave Murray, guitar 54 Adrian Smith, guitar 54 Janick Hers, guitar 54 Steve Harris, Bass 55 Nicko Mc Brain, drums 59
I saw this tour July 11th 1992 in Atlanta @ Lakewood Amphitheater. When they stated jumping on stage the crowd started jumping, I was standing in the walkway near the top and I swear you could fill that concrete walkway bouncing.
You hit the nail on the head when you said their music is made for concerts, because that is exactly Maiden's mentality. They are a live band first and foremost, and they bring that vibe and energy into the studio with them, so the concerts really do not depart from the sound of the studio recordings at all (except that they play everything faster live!). Check out anything from their album Somewhere in Time! Cheers.
Please react to,… The Trooper, Flash of the blade, Wasted years, 2 minutes to midnight, The Prisoner, and Aces High. Just to name a few. You’ll love them all. I’ve seen them live twice. Nothing short of amazing!!
Great reaction sooo glad you did a live reaction, another amazing over the top performance is dance of death live en vivo is beautiful. Another amazing reaction by you. Big love congrats on your success and keep it up.
November 6th next year (2024) coming to Worcester, MA. Been listening to them 3/4 years but am 53 so was around during their era just never listened to them. I watched the 3 part history on Iron Maiden on RUclips and have been amazed ever since. The layers of each track, so technically perfect. And they DO seem amazing live, so I’m going my friend if you wanna join!!!!!!
MMB I'm so glad you are discovering the music that I grew up on. It was amazing and I'm seeing more young people like you that are digging deep into the 80's hard rock, rap and metal. Thanks
Great reaction! Welcome to the Iron Maiden family! You will see that although every member of the band is in their 60s, the fans all range in ages from 5 to 65 plus. I have been an Iron Maiden fan since 1980. YESSS, I'm that old, and I have seen Iron Maiden live, more times than I have fingers and some toes. Lol! Just fair warning, if you want to dig deeper and go down the rabbit hole, be prepared for a history lesson of the world. Bruce is also a cancer survivor from throat cancer. These are all amazing musicians and artists. Keep up the great work. You earned a sub from this reaction. UP THE IRONS 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
One of the best early live performances by Iron Maiden was for the song 'Phantom of the Opera' (live) from 1980 w/ original singer Paul Di'Anno... Just such an incredible footage of Iron Maiden playing in a theater in London... Bruce Dickinson has also performed 'Phantom of the Opera' on a few occasions.
They are called flares 🔥They're very common in overseas concerts... but they have been known to cause injuries and fires... Somehow, fans seem to sneak them in and light up during concert performances...
Not only do they perform live so well, but their stages and light shows are amazing in themselves. This and Hallowed be thy Name are best live, but many others I suggest the studio version first.
Bro, glad I found your channel. You rock. Don't worry, we metal heads are so passionate about music that sometimes we can come across angry or whatever, but it's just that sentiment of overwhelming epicness that we are always eager to let other people feel the same way. Welcome to the metal family and I wish you have a great metal journey up ahead.
Dude I would be happy to see Maiden with you. I have been a fan since a friend let me borrow their Power Slave tape back in 87. So glad you love this. Just wait till you finally react to Night wish if you love Maiden you will love Nightwish
try the red and the black live chapter. 1st tour after bruce was treated for throat cancer. while recording the album he had symptoms but finished. on the tour he was cured and singing again., they all look so happy as does the crowd.
Up the irons! Welcome to the heavy metal brotherhood. They are not in their 40s or 50s, they are in theirs 60s and 70s. Now you need to do Iron Maiden’s Paschendale live with the poem, the gun fire and cannons.
I watched your Hallowed be thy name reaction. You have a good ear, remembering all the tunes. :) You would love the song "Dance of death" by Iron Maiden en vivo version!
If hou want some movement on the stage check "the clansman" live in Rock in Rio. Also try "dance of death" from en vivo( the most theatrical performance by Bruce- the way that tells the story is mind-blowing) Cheers from Greece mate

Welcome the the wonderful world of Iron Maiden :) You still have A LOT to discover. You could go on with the everybody's darlings like "The Trooper" or "Number of the Beast", but I would really appreciate if you dive more into the "Not that well-known" Tracks like... well, let's say "The Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner" or "Seventh Son of the Seventh Son". This is also, what Iron Maiden sounds like. Still Metal, of course, but more the progessive Style. Like Rush maybe :)

I thought the song was sampled possibly by Lil Wayne but I could be wrong. I’ve seen them live on every US tour since 2003 and have never been disappointed. It’s not a mosh pit but more of everyone shoved in the same direction as a collective. Most fun I’ve ever had at concerts. Last concert was in Oct in Chicago. My wife and I went for our anniversary. I think the time off did Bruce’s voice well and they kicked ass. Nicko is getting long and the tooth and tempos are slightly slower but it sounds great to this day.
The big difference between Maiden and Guns n Roses is Maiden spends their time playing soccer and tennis. GnR spent their time playing with drug dealers and hookers. GnR rode around in Limos saying LOOK AT ME. I AM A ROCK STAR. Maiden doesn’t want any of that and are very down to earth and serious about the fans. G N R canceled concerts due to in fighting and burning out. Maiden puts everything into every performance no matter where they are Welcome to the Maiden family. Watching the live video is awesome but it doesn't compare to actually being there. I dont know where you're located, but Maiden tour the US every few years and probably play a city near you. Keep your eyes out for tour dates and go to a show. You won't regret it
As for the music.. Bruce was 59 or so at that concert. I'm told keeping pitch while running is hard, but he has done it for more than 40 years, so I guess it's been a routine thing for him for quite a while. Bruce was competing in fencing on European level when young adult, and Iron Maiden has never been on the booze and drugs corner of the rock world, which might explain why they are still going that strong. Over the years Bruce has lost the very highest notes, but on the other hand he has learned *a ton* of ways to modify his voice to match the *feeling* of every sentence and word he sings. So nowadays his foremost a phenomenal storyteller. And succesfully communicating *feelings* to the audience is what good music is about in the end. Up the irons!
