I love saving money, but I also am willing to spend and splurge on makeup that I think is really worth it! I bought the Urban Decay Space Cowboy eyeshadow because of you. & it’s my favorite eyeshadow now. My husband said I like your eye shadow it looks wet. & I was like wow “you get it”… lol 😂

I bought ritz not too long ago on a whim, and it’s become such a staple in my collection. For a long time, I was looking for something that just looked like a translucent wet shine, and Ritz was exactly that. I couldn’t believe I just stumbled into it randomly.

@@jacquelinedaniels87 I LOOOVe the white and orange shades in these. Maybe it's just me but I find the pink one really lacklustre...like it's not that sparkly for some reason! But the other shades are stunning. Beautifully wet!
You should try the Jelly Much shadows, too. There is nothing "Jelly" about them. They're really gorgeous and there are some amazing shades for sale on the Colourpop website right now! (Sage Bundle, Buttercup, Hallucinogenus and She Grown) They're just super gorgeous cream shadows and the pics on the website don't look anything like them. 😍
In the end, Idon’t see the difference between putting a sponge applicator on your face vs putting a doe foot applicator on your face. That being said, I prefer a pump or a squeeze tube 🤷🏻♀️
I like to make my own “blonzer”. Cream bronzer on the back of my hand with a few drops of liquid blush. Blend w finger and tap on. I love it. :)

Have you tried the Daniel Sandler Watercolor, blushes, bronzers and highlighters? Also, if you mix a Rare Beauty Liquid Blush and Highlighter, they make for a really beautiful cheek product that way. I don't love them singly, though.

I bought Ritz about a year ago (I think Mariah Leonard recommended it in one of her one shadow videos). I use it often when ever I want an easy look that I know will look really nice. Excited to hear that it's a dupe for Space Cowboy because I know that Colourpop sometimes randomly discontinues products and I can use up a SuperShock shadow rather quickly. Awesome video!
I agree about the blonzer from bare minerals. I thought it was just me it was a glittery mess on my skin. I was kind of pissed I didn't return it cuz I don't return makeup but I felt duped no one else said it but you. I appreciate your honesty.
A lot of people says that the milani soft focus glow is the CLOSEST dupe for the flawless filter even more than the maybelline one

Yeah I also don't say dupe lightly and I couldn't agree more that Ritz is truly a spot on shade/finish dupe for Space Cowboy. They're both amazing! Also I don't think we have that Maybelline product in Canada yet but the SECOND WE DO
I find ritz to be slightly more of a larger glitter particle than space cowboy. I bought ritz thinking it would be a dupe but it’s not the same, doesn’t give as much of a shiny finish, rather a more glittery one.
Space Cowboy is my ultimate favorite. I have been using it for years. I usually put it over eye shadow every day. I have a few of the Colourpop palettes and I love the the glitter toppers and use them a lot. I think the Colourpop shadows fade a lo faster. The UD Space Cowboy does not fade. You put it on at 6am and at 10pm it is still going strong.
I love this series on your channel! Definitely a great approach to a traditional "dupes" video. I want that Honest Beauty blush now!

What base are you wearing in this vid? Foundation and powder
If I had to choose between a doe foot applicator or a sponge tip, I would go for the sponge tip every time. The reinserted doe foot into the product takes bacteria with it - every single time it's used! Whereas, the sponge tip will gather the bacteria on the actual sponge. Keeping the sponge tip as clean as possible is key to reducing the bacteria.
Thankfully, the formulas contain ingredients to prevent the products from "spoiling".
These dupes are fantastic and you've given many products to save money without losing the finish the high end products provide. 👍👍💗💗

I wish someone would explain to me why a doe foot is more hygienic than the sponge applicator, the doe foot you're dragging directly across your skin or mouth or eyelids or undereyes and then jamming back into the bottle full of product whereas the sponge applicator at least isn't simmering inside a bottle of product. Plus you can pull it off if you don't want to use it. It's messy and stupid, YES, but I side eye the hygiene claims.
For me, I just think the sponge tip is messier 🤷♀️
I totally know what you mean, I feel like the larger the sponge, the more surface area to hold bacteria. None of it is really super hygienic but that certainly isn’t stopping me from using it 🤣
Yeah it's a silly argument. Both products will have a preservative system that will keep the integrity of the product through the application and life of product.
Also, if you're applying your makeup to a cleansed face, as you should be, it really doesn't make a difference, and in cases where it 'would', the sponge tip would still be more 'hygienic' (preservatives and preservative systems formulated into the cosmetics themselves notwithstanding)
Someone said it once on youtube cause they probably felt like the dried out product that collects there looks yucky and everyone else just repeated like parrots. It does not have any merit behind it.

As always, this was so helpful! I love the Physicians Formula plumper and agree 100% that the Too Faced feels VERY irritating and damaging to the lips. I'd love to try the Maybelline Skin Perfector but unfortunately as with many popular new products, it appears to be sold out at the moment.

I waited 9 months and paid double the price to finally get my hands on Colourpop Ritz from a reseller (they don't ship to my country) but when it arrived IT WAS WORTH IT. Looked like water glimmering on my eyelids 🥰

@@rosytellez21 it’s not the same as space cowboy. Space cowboy has super tiny glitter particles in it that give off a wet look in the light, but ritz just looks like glitter.. disappointing considering everyone thinks it’s a dupe
@@sophias1670 I got space cowboy also, it looks better but also looks like glitter. But you're right Ritz is just straight up glitter
I bought Ritz because it was described as a dupe for Space Cowboy and the colors are exactly the same, but something about Space Cowboy has an extra bit of oomph that I couldn't find with Ritz. That being said, I wear both often, but I find Space Cowboy's sheerer base is really nice for when I want to layer a sparkle on the lid and tone down anything that is a tad too overwhelming in brightness.
Agreed! I’ve owned both, and I personally think the individual shimmers are more apparent in Ritz in a way that makes that illusion of “wetness” a bit less effective than Space Cowboy.
I really wish Maybelline will stop using sponged tip applicators on their products.
When I first got the flawless filter, I swatched some on the back of my hand and ended up painting the whole back of my 37 year old hand with it and blew my mind and my friends minds because the hand it was on looked 10 years younger than the other hand and didn't look unnatural or made up or cakes or anything, just very dewy and shiny. I don't hear others talk about the age erasing quality of it but I put that stuff all over my face under the foundation. My hands look terrible and I'm serious, it was an amazing difference.

wait until you try the Rom&nd the universe glitter eyeshadow #4( which is not glittery at all, it feels like silk!)... it just leaves a starry and wet eye lids for you... obsessed since I bought on yesstyle on a whim!

If u want a highlighter that just looks like glowy skin but is still an actual highlighter go for the Stila Heavens Hue Highlight in Opulence. It's just a glossy looking glow that u can sheer out with a fluffy brush or build up with dence highlighting brush 😍😍💖💖

I agree on the CT flawless filter being hard to get all the product out especially towards the end. I started storing mine upside down and it helped so much!
Also I feel the milani bright side primer is just as good as the Ct flawless filter (for my shade anyways)

I love how you explain the products and go more in depth. Most dupe videos I come across are like "look the shade is the same so it's a dupe!" Really enjoying your videos 💖
Just last night I used the Glow Recipe moisturiser and Jelly pop moisturiser, smelled the same and how I apply skincare, I only blot my face with a wet cloth and apply skincare. I couldn’t tell the difference but I also have the Elf Hydrating Water Essence ( the only product I consistently run out of and repurchase, BUT it’s been out of stock for months ) and used that first. I also used the Jelly Pop primer under my sunscreen when I had to sit on top a hill in my car in 90+ weather and high humidity, it was amazing for keeping my face intact, even with sweating buckets. I also have that Puff Puff primer that I use in winter it had the same sort of tack, but honey like and I’m oily but need to change for dry patches in winter. Also, I just rotate my products , don’t really dupe/replace and Glow Recipe is one brand where I actually see a change in my skin. I’m old, oily and congested skinned. If I use the hydrating water essence or the Pixi Glow Tonic my pores stay cleaner. I’m trying to find a replacement for the hydrating water essence as I only have a bottle left 😩

I love this format. Regarding Space Cowboy. . .have you found a topper that is long lasting, adds a bit of translucent or transparent (better) reflection, and lacks glitter? I'd love Laura Mercier to do a Caviar Stick like that.

Hi, Amanda! Has anyone mentioned the Almay Healthy Hue blush? I heard about it from the Garsow Twins and the Nearly Nude color is NOT nude, but a perfect blonzer color that is mega pigmented. I think you might like it!
Lawless forget the filler lip plumper is my gold standard. Its also the perfect base for long wear matte and liquid lipsticks.
I think the xx revolution skin glow Tinted booster can be a dube for the CT flawless filter and the maybelline corrector, it's between a skin tint and a highlighter and give the skin that perfect glow! And I love that it comes in a pump cause that maybelline packaging just isn't it for me 😅

Oooh... so glad I saw this video. I've had space cowboy on my wish list for a while and was about to purchase it on Ulta but it was out of stock again. BUT, I own Ritz so now I don't have to get the Urban Decay one.

I have been binge watching your videos and this one came up. I purchased 3 moondusts due to your videos 😂😂😂 but seriously though, I think the physicians formula extreme shimmer shadows are relatively close to the moondusts even in texture. I'm waiting for my moondusts in the mail because I got them on black Friday. After looking at them though, I bet they're relatively similar. Have you tried those? They're honestly right up your alley if you haven't!!!!
Peppermint puckers, so to speak; Burt’s Bees lip stick version of Lipsmackers is loaded with menthol and is all natural the color free mint stick can be slicked on fine lines on a hectic day and around and over lip lines then put color over it! BB thinner color sticks don’t wear long but can be applied repeatedly and only feel better when your mouth is dry! I would love to have a lovely girl interest herself in Make-ups at Whole Foods to teach women about makeup so safe you can eat it and leaves a lovely sheer sheen on your skin!

I love ❤ the Two faced lip plump extreme! 💋 I find it to be very hydrating on my lips in any color and has lasting power. But every one's lips are different and can be something in the formula that is causing a reaction. I will try your Physicians formula recommendation as well cause you can never have too many lip gloss/ plumpers! 🤣💙💙💙👍😁

I love Ritz! It sent me down a path of searching out other similar formulas. If you have any wet looking shadows, please share! ☺️ I just tried out the Maybelline Glow product - I don’t have the Charlotte, but I really like the Maybelline for the super juicy skin highlight effect.
Hi Shanrell, korean cosmetics have some wonderful "wet" looking shadows! My favorite brands for that effect is Clio Cosmetics and 3ce ♡ hope that helps

I bought color pop ritz because of this video and have to say it is different if you’re as picky as I am. The glitters are a bit bigger in ritz and give a bit more of a tacky look rather than a pretty, glossy look like what you get with space cowboy.
i love the maybelline age rewind concealer and hated the sponge tip because it was so messy. A simple fix to this is just pulling it off the top of the bottle, it's very easy to remove and the product comes out of a small tube so you can see how much it's disposing. It's less messy, more hygienic, and wastes way less product :)

I like your analysis style, and suggestions. Can we be honest about lip plumpers? The tingling is irritation that may make the lips swell and look fuller, but should anyone really be putting something damaging on their lips? Also anything that feels cooling is usually an irritant, not the same as actually putting something cold (as in temperature) on your lips or skin.
I would love to see comparisons that also compare main ingredients. Thanks for another insightful video.

Ritz from CP and space cowboy from UD is the same thing period. Have them both, love them both!
I have to disagree. Thought that was true and bought ritz, and couldn’t figure out who I didn’t like it, then I swatched space cowboy and found the glitters are much smaller which gives a more elegant, wet look whereas color pop ritz has larger glitter making it more apparent that you have glitter on your eyes. If you’re not super observant on tiny details, I can see how it could look similar.
