When you said “what concealer won’t crease?”, I was reminded why I love your channel! Perfect under eyes aren’t real, a little creasing and pores showing are normal and we need to have that in mind 👏🏻
Thank you for this reminder!
One more thing, the effort you put in demoing the products is just another level, thank you so much for putting in all that work, it helped me make a lot of purchase decisions lately. Thank you so much!
I agree 100%
I noticed that the cream/ liquid eyeshadow shades Amanda chooses are always mid tones, neutral tone, sophisticated and super versatile, great choices!
Your videos are perfect for me. We’re decades apart in age, but we have a similar skin type and coloring, similar taste in colors and textures, and we both have hollow eyes with discoloration. The latter is what prompted me to comment today. I’m constantly on the search for an under eye concealer that covers without drying out my skin or making the hollowness look worse. I ordered the Kosas concealer immediately based on your review of it. I hope to have as much success with it as you have. Thank you for finding it. I’ll let you know what I think after I test it.
And I agree about ELF Black Cherry over Clinique Black Honey. I was around for the first Black Honey craze and used to combine it with a bit of Clear Red by Yardley to make it wearable for my coloring. Black Cherry is wearable as is. I’m so glad you found it for us.
And the Essence of Healthy spray that no one talks about and everyone should is a favorite of mine thanks to you.
I seriously can’t stop looking at your hair. Gorgeous 😍
I cant believe you’re almost at 70k as of recent. You definitely deserve it, and I believe in you that you can achieve whatever you desire, but I feel like we were just celebrating you hit 10k!!!!😭😭SOO proud of you. YOU have put in the work to test products, compare them, develop and plan out videos, film them, edit them beautifully, demo them (extremely helpful, by the way), and explain each product in such detail that I always know exactly what I’m buying when I choose to buy a recommendation. We adore your content and you, and I’m just so happy for the success you’re achieving on YT. Just proud of you, is all.
Thank you so so much MADDIE!!!! You've been here from the beginning and I appreciate you so much and our support :)
I didn't know what to expect with that L'Oreal applicator, then you pulled it out and I burst out laughing! What IS that 😂🥀〰️↪️➰
New subby here. Love your detailed reviews! I'm 63 but I can so relate to your skin and undereye issues. Thank u for all the hard work you put into your videos.
Love your thoughtful comparison approach. I appreciate that you don’t just throw out a bunch of “dupes “ Merry Christmas🎄
Girl. I bought the shades #50 Feathery Fleur and #100 Mademoiselle Mauve in the Loreal liquid lip balms a few weeks ago and I'm in love!
Would love to see you compare the Kosas bronzer with the Flower Beauty Heatwave Bronzer!
Always appreciate your Splurge and Saves. ☺️
I have bought the black cherry elf sheer slick lipstick, the flower beauty blush bombs, the kosas revealer concealer, and the physicians formula toner/setting spray, and ALL wonderful products that work great on my dry skin.
I’m eager to try the new L’Oréal serum foundation, too.
If you have dry skin and looking for new products with quality formulas, Amanda does not disappoint!
👌❤️
Today, the day after Christmas, I'm going to lie on the couch and binge watch all your videos. Your reviews are always super honest, super interesting, and greatly varied in products mentioned which is awesome. I can lie on the couch all day because I'm now in my 60s, I have a day off from the grandkids (who I take care of all week while mommy and daddy work), and it's just me and my little doggie here at home. This year has been a foundation and concealer hunt for a new HG, and that new NYX serum concealer, in Light (as opposed to fair, even though I'm very fair and cool), has won the concealer award. Maybe I'll play around with the many, many new foundations I picked up this year while I watch your videos. You are the BEST! Happy, healthy New Year to you!
You look StUnnINg!!! That lip paired with your hair and eye makeup! **chef’s kiss **
Pls show us a product review of the lisa eldridge lurex luxe shadows
Do the l'oreal balm in gloss have that classic floral lip product scent or something more modern? I really want to try those but can't stand that damn floral fragrance
I LOVE that L’Oreal foundation, I picked it up on a whim. I definitely was looking at the Fenty one and decided against it because I couldn’t find my shade and some reviews said it highlighted texture. The L’Oreal looks so pretty on my skin, I have basically every skin issue lol. Also, for affordable liquid glitters, dip into Korean brands like PeriPera or HolikaHolika they have super affordable gorgeous glitters with or without base color. I have a dupe of stila kitten from PeriPera and its just as pretty. Would love to see you try Korean makeup or skincare!
The NYX concealer, elf balm, and flower beauty blush are all favorites in my collection!
I honestly like the NYX concealer in the shade “light” better than the fair, though. We’re the same shades usually so maybe you should try that shade and see if it looks any better!
This! I too am quite fair with a neutral-cool undertone, but the Light shade of the NYX concealer is wayy more flattering than the Fair shade. I have both and never use the Fair one.
If you are going to wear the Stila for NYE I would definitely pair with a liner regardless of the wing style.
Happy Holidays!🎁 Excellent video👏
I love this concept of “save or splurge”. It wraps up my thought process when buying products😂
In love with the tones/colour combos that you use in your videos. Not just the makeup, your outfits, the holiday-esque green backdrop, with your warm hair color.... Just incredible! If you ever do a collab, please do these shades in liquid eyeshadows 🤗🤩. Also a classic Amanda Z warm peach/coral cream blush and lipstick.
Merry Christmas, Amanda! Hope everyone is having a good one and happy New Year!🎄🎁 🎅🏻
that nyx concealer just from your description reminds me of the shopmissA paw paw concealer, a super nice coverage with a pretty hydrated finish
Good morning Amanda! Merry Christmas. We appreciate you 🎄🎄🎄
I’ve been a Clinique Black Honey convert for years and am always looking for a dupe since you don’t get a lot in the package and since it’s a balm it needs to be reapplied constantly. In addition to the ELF one mentioned here I found Revlon Super Lustrous Shine in the shade Black Cherry to be basically identical in formula and shade
Have u tried the Lancôme
Teint Idole Ultra Wear All Over Full Coverage Concealer? I hear it's very, very hydrating & smooth.
I definitely appreciate these videos! And that you do products on your face. Could watch them every day😁
Could you do a lipstick video on all your favorite lipsticks? I'm 55 so I prefer classic tube lipstcick to glosses, etc. as I have freckles and uneven lines around my lips now, glosses look like crap!! ;o. I would love to see your lipstick collection!!!
The l'oreal glow paradise look beautiful, will keep an eye out for their release to Aus. Another great balmy lipstick is the Flower Beauty Perfect Pout. Another one you could check out is the Revlon Glaze Shadow stick in Rose compared to KVD Flash Storm. Slightly diff shade but formula wise very similar. Velour stick in Sierra also 👌❤
Hey, Amanda, I know you like the Bare With Me Concealer but you might like it even more if you went down a shade. Sometimes using a shade that isn't so incredibly light makes my hollowness and dark circles completely disappear. I also have to use super creamy concealers for my issues. My fave so far is the Tarte Maracuja Creaseless concealer. Blended out with a brush it looks awesome but I haven't tried Kosas yet. 🥰🤟🏻 Happy Holidays!!
I'm with you on that Fenty face product. It matches my skin so well and I like how low coverage it is, but it always feels like a major win and that I'm clearly doing something really well with my skincare when this applies perfectly without any odd patches. I guess in that way it's a really good motivator to keep on top of my skincare?
The quality of your reviews is amazing. Thank you so much.
These comparisons are amazing! Thank you Amanda! You are a true professional.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Amanda 🎄🎁
You know unfortunately the only stila glitter eyeshadow I bought was the ballerina shade. Like a month later when I finally got to using it , it had dried out to literally nothing. I didn't bother trying to add anything to it. But it has put me off ever buying a new one. The price just isn't worth the worry of it stocking around.
That really surprises me, because I bought a different shade of the same product and it’s lasted me two years so far, (I should probably throw it away now but I use it for special occasions lol) and I live in the dry desert. Maybe you got a bad batch!
I’ve had the same issue with the shade ballet baby! Maybe it’s the formula but I do own almost all of the shades and they do tend to dry out pretty quickly so I definitely agree with you 😓
Same here. They dry out super fast and the glitter fallout is so not cute. Never again stila.
I’ll keep an eye on it and update you guys if I have any issues!
@@AmandaZ That's really interesting. To hear both sides of the product performance. You'd think if it dried out quick for everyone that it would be well known. Probably just random. Maybe they had been on the shelf for longer.
The problem with Kosas is that it will make even waterproof mascara smudge. You pretty much have to wear a tubing mascara if you wear mascara on the the bottom lashes. They also still need help with the shades, 0.5N still leans yellow.
I agree. I'm around .5 and 1.0 but neither of them are cool tone enough for me. Bummer because I love the brand and formula.
@@RachelDee Same! And 1.5 is too dark for me.
i love the close ups! so helpful
Thanks for posting. Love all your content. You look radiant! Have a wonderful day!
Your videos continue the most informative, the most in-depth, and truly helpful!
When you pulled the L'Oreal applicator out, I laughed out loud. I definitely want to check those out!
Your thoughts on the Fenty drop foundation are exactly how I felt looking at the looks from customers on the Sephora website. Will definitely look into the L’Oréal as an alternative!
Amanda please do a video on your favorite brushes to use with cream and liquid shadows!
fenty eaze drop looks better on my skin when i don't use any primer under it. Just moisturizer and sunscreen.
I noticed it works best when I put the thinest amount of squalene oil on first. Pore primer looks terrible under these drops.
Oooo I gotta check out that L’Oréal liquid lip balm!
If you like serum foundation, you should try the Yensa Super Serum Foundation. My sister got it in her Ipsy bag and she got me a bottle. It’s really hydrating and you only need a small drop to get decent coverage.
Great recommendations! I actually mixed the loreal serum with the fenty drops to get a better shade match over the summer. The elf sheer slick in golden pear and flower blush bomb in spiced are favorites as well! I’ve been eyeing the loreal rose harmony balm/gloss. Your review was the push I needed! Thanks!
i found that tinted moisturizers such as the fenty eaze drop work best for me when i moisturize first and skip blurring primers. itll cause it to pill. same happens to me with my morphe 2 hint hint skin tint.
My parents got me the Flower Beauty Blush Bombs for Christmas (they didn't come to Canada in stores until recently) and they are AMAZING. Hard to believe they're drugstore, even high end drugstore.
Where did ur patents got flower products? I'm curious cuz i don't know which store sell them in canada
I LOVE this series! More please!
I really want to try those two concealers, thanks for the recommendations!
Do you have a best lip balm/oil video, and I’m missing it? I have severely dry lips, and you seem to have found all the dry skin friendly things. Thank you!!
Happy holidays Amanda and thank you for uploading!!!! Hope you and yours are doing well 🥰 I was wondering how the nyc concealer compares to the maybelline fit me that you used to love?
Have you tried a peach corrector for the hollowness under your eyes? I have this too and I am desperate for a solution! I've heard several artists recommend corrector instead of concealer. I'd love to hear your advice!
I love Stila liquid eyeshadow! I should probably throw it out, but I still use it 😅😅😅 have you tried the Tarte sea quench lip balm? It’s my favorite tinted balm it’s super confortable and it looks nice and last a reasonable time!
I REALLY like the Sensei black lip treatment gloss. Costa the fucking moon 🌙 but for my huge, cracking lip at my age, it gives me *a lot of lip care payoff* & covers my rampant Fordyce spots that is often accentuated with some glosses
I’m glad you did a liquid eye product that isn’t Chanel. I LOVE the bronze-green Chanel colour, but it is a bitch to apply & can’t go over ANY skincare.
❤️🔥LOVE a nude bronze, violet-brown or taupe eyeshadow❣️
for the concealers, maybe it was the shade difference? the nyx one is quite a bit more lighter which would not have dealt with the darkness as well and would not have had any contribution towards the hollowness
Can anyone comment on the scent of the L'Oreal glosses? I'd reach for my Maybelline lifter gloss more often were it not for the gross salted caramel scent - scent/flavoring is I think where drugstore products tend to stumble.
This is why the essence glosses are a must 😌
I sadly feel the same way about the lifter gloss. Smells like a werthers original- the old lady butterscotch candies 😭
Not all of the stila glitter and glow eyeshadows have base pigments so I think you definitely need to be cautious of what shade you get, I own quite a few 😊
Merry Christmas! 🎄 I do love that Rose Harmony shade.
I have a completely different skin type/concerns to you but I still love watching your content! Another thorough review as always 💓
Love these comparisons..I have been reaching for the loreal serum on days where I dont want to put in effort, and still have the skin look nice. I have normal to dry skin.
I want to try the kosas in the future, but I do really like the nyx one whenever I use it. 🙂
I love the save and splurge videos and the comparisons, thank you so much! Have you tried the Lust gloss by Pat McGrath? Particularly the shade Flesh 6, it reminded me so much of you and I’m curious to see what you think of the formula.
Do you have any recommendations for eyeshadow that are not glittery? I’m on the hunt for something that is a nice gleam, but not glittery!
I threw the ELF Black Cherry away because it dried my lips out like crazy. I gave it a go for several months, but just couldn't anymore. And that was during the summer. Just did not work for me.
Could you please show your filming space? What camera do you use and lighting? Do you have an advice for someone who is just getting started to film make up video?
i love mixing the eaze drop with glow lust!
I love these save or splurge vids!
As soon as I hear the intro music 🎶 🍷 📝 🛍 💄
Merry Christmas EVERYONE!
😉It’s early here soooo ☕️ 😜
The Elf gave your lips a softer appearance when you used your finger to smooth it out, the shade was more flattering with your skin tone, hair and eye color. On initial application the Clinique actually looked smoother. Lip tints are difficult to build up. I like the Clinique Black Honey, but I am not in love with it. Personally, I do not like the Elf formula on me, some of the shades are really nice. Clinique Black Honey is not dupable, there are several affordable alternatives that can provide the same type of vibe but not the color. I love a good dupe or even alternative, especially when the quality is very good.
Your hair is so beautiful!
I very much appreciated this video. Loved it
You should try the elf glitter eyeshadow as a dupe for the stilla one. They are identical!
I have hollowness, some minor darkness, and aging skin. The kosas just exaggerated my lines. Any other ideas? I'm 39 and honestly feel like I'm aging well compared to others my age. Yet the hollowness of my eyes is what brings me down.
I'd really recommend seeing a dermatologist and starting a retinoid/tretinoin! beautiful skin starts from within - diet is so important too. and suncream of course! :)
@@georgiaelliott16 retinol and niacinimide however small amounts make my face swell. So no gos.
Hi Amanda, how does the Roen Kiss My Liquid Lip Balm Charlie compare to the liquid lip balms you mentioned? Which is the best?
i dont have kosas in my country’s sephora so can you reccomend another concealer that conceals well and hides hollowness🥲
Do you have Armani?
I feel like the Milk blush is meant to be used with their sunshine skin tint or other oil-based foundations. I can’t imagine an oil-based blush not doing weird stuff to a regular foundation.
Your hair looks stunning 👌
Do you like Stila glitter & glow better than Danessa Myricks foil colorfix?
That L'Oreal definitely looks better than the rare beauty
Happy Christmas 🎄 from Montreal
I’ve only tried one stila eyeshadow product, it was in a pinkish shade and it stained my eyelid 🤷🏼♀️
maybe on the camera it doesn't show so much your dark under eyes and your deep set eyes. I have deep set eyes, and pretty noticable dark under eyes and super dry skin (always under my eyes) my deep set eyes are way more pronounced than yours, if you didn't say that you had them, i wouldn't have notice yours. Thanks Amanda, the kosas revealer concealer is on my wishlist for the next concealer to try.
❤️❤️❤️
Adoro 😻♥️💛💙
Can you do some does for HERA 422
Dupes
I keep pausing to go shopping then going back to the video...and repeat! I'm really bad at the 'saving' part.🤷♀️
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’m confused because this is the same video I watched last night but it says it was uploaded four hours ago.
I had some technical issues on the back end and had to reupload!
@@AmandaZ I got really excited that you uploaded two days in a row! lol
It’s a great video. I hadn’t realized that the Stila glitter liquid eyeshadow had a base pigment! I LOVE that color! Thank you! Happy holidays!
💚🥰💚
Loreal true match serum is VERY drying. Don't know how they. sell that stuff.Feels like all alcohol.
Interesting, I bought it but returned it because I can’t handle the mess. I tried it a couple of times but I wasn’t wowed. I didn’t think about it being drying but even hyaluronic acid would create dryness in a dry climate.
I hate the Fenty Eaze Drop. It makes my skin look so bad. Yuck yuck yuck. What a bust.
🌷🌷🌷🎄🎄🎄
Hi👋🙋♀
17:52 🤣
Drew Barrymore tease
Gurrrrrl, that Loreal foundation serum has denatured alcohol close to the top of the list of ingredients! Don't do it!!! 😂
